βI was finally able to visit La Bodega. My family of 7 took the trip down from Westchester, NY, for dinner. The ambience was warm, welcoming, and beautiful! We each got different meats along with rice, beans and maduros- the food did not disappoint! The service was prompt and friendly- we felt right at home. Absolutely retuning.β
βTrader Joe's has the usual meats and produce but the produce is all local and the meats are high end. Lovely selection of dips, nuts age dried fruit. Loved it all.β

βI love it here. I live midtown Hoboken and ACME is practically next door but I still come here because of three main reasons. Price, quality and speed. I can do whole my shopping in 15 minutes. The food is high quality and not expensive either. So even though I have to walk here 10 minutes to shop, I prefer this place and if I take the car out then hands down this my go to place. I stopped going Costco and will cancel my membership because when all things considered, it is not worth keeping it.
I have a confession though, I use Walgreensβ parking lot. Trader Joeβs please make a deal with Walgreens so that I donβt feel bad using their lot.β
βToday was my third visit here. I had a really amazing experience today. Amy was someone who truly cared about her work, her customers and her workplace. I will never forget her warm attitude towards her customers. Trader Joe's is a place with really great employees. All staff are friendly. (Kay)β
βhow cool can a supermarket be? well, trader joeβs somehow makes grocery shopping fun. the storeβs design and decor are great, and all the products look so nice, plus, theyβre even slightly cheaper than in other grocery stores.

and can we talk about the tote bags? as a cheese lover, i had to get the one about cheeses.β

βSo I came in to buy just a few things in a hurry. I never been in a Trader Joe's but I like the cleanliness and atmosphere. It's definitely smaller than most grocery stores I've been in. I definitely see they have more organic and healthy items than you would find in a regular grocery store. I would come back for specific items but maybe not regular shoppingβ
βMy familyβs been shopping here forever. Best kielbasy guaranteed, pierogi, imported polish goods, fresh variety of babkas, nut rolls, homemade pastries. Worth a trip to Wallington!β
βThis Trader Joeβs is so busy at all hours of the day and week. But they keep it well stocked and clean. Iβm always able to pick up what I need and despite the intimidatingly long line, I am able to check out within a reasonable amount of time and the staff are friendly.β
βIt was a breath of fresh air shopping at Trader Joe's especially so for overseas visitors visiting New York. Most of the staff members were very friendly and proactive in assisting customers with ready smiles. Whenever I visit the USA, I must also have the Trader Joe's Waldorf Salad if possible. Very tasty!β
βGarden Gourmet really is an oasis in this neck of the Kingsbridge-Riverdale woods. The quality is uniformly high, with a few exceptions, and the prices are decent. More expensive than, say, Stop & Shop across the street, but overall a vastly superior store. Produce selection is abundant, with plenty of organic options. You can tell the store has a buyer who cares about quality. Again, with exceptions. They occasionally sell Sunset brand products, like tomatoes, which are not good. They should do better quality control on tomatoes. Also, there are many bagged veggies, like spinach and salads, which can contain spoilage and are best avoided. I wish they would eliminate these, but I guess people like them because the veggies are pre-washed. But there are plenty of fresh alternatives to these. The meat and chicken section also is good quality, but can be pricey, except they have an excellent deal on Bell & Evans chickens, which are top-notch. (They also offer cheap mass-produced Perdue chickens which are tasteless, but can be avoided.) The butchered meat selection is not huge, more select, but good quality and reasonably priced. However, if you're going for processed packaged meats, like sausages and other deli cuts, they have tons of high-quality imports, along with quality sliced ham, turkey, and other cold cuts that they package themselves. Their fresh fish selection is small, but good quality and not cheap. Smoked fish, though? Huge selection. Then there's the cheese -- a superb curated spread that's massive considering the size of the store, with many great prices. One picayune exception: their house-made fresh mozzarella is bland. Luckily they have other brands. Garden Gourmet obviously prides itself on their house-made products, including bean salads, olives, slaw, potato salads, etc. -- and these are uniformly good. They also offer a TON of prepared cooked food for take-home meals, but I never buy that stuff because I cook for myself. It sure looks and smells good though. The GG has a HUGE selection of locally sourced bread off all types that blows away any supermarket. Also a nice pick of cakes and pies and other baked goods that are either house made or locally sourced. One other criticism of GG: Their coffee beans are inferior. I wish they'd get a new supplier for these. Othewise there is SO MUCH more I could say about this store -- like discuss their IMMENSE selection of products imported from mainly Eastern European countries -- but I've blabbed on enough. If the Garden Gourmet ever closed down I'd be shattered.β
βThis place is an excellent food store. They have good products and the staff is very professional and friendly. The lack of parking especially during busy times like Sunday create an absolute disaster of a traffic jam. It is really bad parking-wise, which is the only reason why I took one star off the review.β

βIβve had this place saved for many years and finally got to check it out recently. Itβs almost the holiday season and they had a lot of holiday options for candy, digestives, and teas. They sell meat pies, scotch eggs, and sausage rolls as well. Lots to look at in this store.β
βWe love Grand & Essex food and often buy their takeout. So when it came to making a shabbos kiddush/lunch for 100 people we were excited to order from them --and we're so glad we did! We ordered over a dozen different items, and every single thing was both absolutely delicious and also beautifully presented and it all very much contributed to the celebration. βDefinitely a great place to get fresh fruit and vegetables, they have a good meat section as well although I tend to skip their fish and seafood section. They have a lot of frozen and canned and dry Asian goods particularly focused on Korean food. If you can't find the Korean ramen you want, I am very surprised as that is practically a whole aisle on its own.
Service used to be better here, now the staff looks a little more tired and busy. The front has a good food court filled with Korean fried chicken, kimbap, noodle and other shops.β
