“I noticed the shoes worn by staff at our physiotherapist's office and, when I asked, I was told that their shoes were "AllBirds" sneakers. They highly recommended that my teenage son and I, both of us have flat feet and other foot problems, get those shoes. We went to Garden State Plaza in Paramus, NJ, where the AllBirds store is located. It was sleek with pretty carved wooden chairs for trying the shoes and walls of very colourful shoes and socks. The staff members there, Peter, Stephanie, Tom and Nathan, were all very friendly and helpful without being pushy. I told them about our various foot problems and gave them our regular shoe sizes and they made suggestions about the styles of sneakers and sizes they thought would be best for us. FYI It was reassuring to see that all of the staff actually wore Allbirds shoes and could attest to their comfort, support and machine washability. We looked at the array of colors - shades of blue from sky blue to cornflower, turquoise and navy blue as well as pink, yellow, green, beige, grey, black and purple. The staff patiently brought out boxes of shoes for us to try on and commented on the fit and style suitability for each of us. My son liked a pair of black sneakers but didn't want black soles. Stephanie made the extra effort to run to another store to get him black sneakers with white soles. Peter was the friendliest and he checked to see if we had enough space in the toe and middle foot and heel areas and observed us walking in the shoes to make recommendations on whether we needed a different size or style. FYI We learned that the styles are all unisex and are made out of machine washable and air-dryable environmentally sustainable material like eucalyptus and merino wool. They also had socks and a few items of sports clothing which I gather are also made out of environmentally sustainable materials. They even had a few pairs of tiny baby/toddler All-birds shoes and I wish those had been around when my teenager was little. They even had a jar of doggie biscuits should customers bring a pet with them when trying on shoes. Our first experience at this shoe store was positive and we liked this place. Should all go well with us wearing the shoes we bought, we will be return customers and will, eventually, try different styles and colors of Allbirds shoes. The only suggestions on how this experience could be improved are if:1) There was a loyalty program to give customers discounts if they bought multiple pairs of shoes or at least to give first time customers a discount. None of the shoes were on sale but I learned that there are some older models on sale but only available online -- I wish they would put some shoes in the store on sale. 2) If the socks came in the same array of colors as the sneakers.3) If the sports clothes (t-shirts and shorts) came in the same array of colors as the sneakers.”

“This place exist. There's an actual store in NJ. I went recently for a pickup. The item I ordered was cut tight and not in stock in a size up option. The item was a Final Sale non-refundable. I didn't have to argue with the attendant at the counter. When she noticed the item was too small she immediately facilitated a refund. I ordered the next size up online and it will arrive today. I'll definitely be ordering more items in the near future. I'll send a photo of the merchandise when it arrives.”
“I got my new heels broken in, a day before I had to wear them to a wedding. Customer service was generally good and the price was very affordable. My only issue was when I went to pick up my shoes a couple hours after I dropped them off, the owner was not there. He had given me his number, so I called him. He told me that he had to go to a meeting but that he was 15 minutes away. I ended up waiting for him for over 30 minutes. That was not cool, hence the loss of a star.”
