He.also discounts the price per gallons and delivers the paint for free. My family, friends and I have used his services and have been extremely satisfied. “Builders General is the best! We have a personal rep (Peter) who is always a phone call away for all of our needs. He is the best!! Everyone at the counter is super helpful. We go to all of the Builder General locations depending where our job is and everyone is so pleasant, you can really tell it is a family owned buisness. Builders General takes pride in every sale small or large. They are a well rounded buisness down to even to loading materials and deliveries. (Shout out to Jay in Little Silver- he is super helpful!)”

He spent 45 minutes helping to find the combinations of parts to get it back in working condition (not a typical fix). All the people working there were helpful, friendly and accommodating. I know they have a busy operation, but Don really took the time to troubleshoot--and the price was really reasonable. You can see they really know their craft!”

“Ashley, one of the managers, provided me with some of the best customer service I've ever had. She empathetically listened to my month's long battle with Hisense. Because the AC unit stopped working properly one year after purchase, returns are made to the manufacturer. Each time you provide Hisense with what they request, they inform you of something else that needs to be sent in. They never gave me a list and provided me with the documents needed in any of my 5 phone calls or 5 emails. After I gave them everything they requested, they then wanted me to cut the cord to the unit and send them a picture. I was not doing that as the fan still worked. I needed at least that if I was to be without an AC unit in 90 degree heat for a week with my elderly mother. At this point I was exhausted with the situation. I knew Lowes did not take returns on this but I had no where else to turn. I told my story to the first person who picked up at customer service. She was kind and understanding. She then put Ashley, the manager, on. Ashley took ownership of the situation and solved my issue immediately. It is the type of character you would expect from a business owner who understands the thirty thousand foot view of a situation. When I arrived the next day to exchange my unit, Kim, an associate, said with a smile you must be Marie. Everyone was friendly while they got Ashley. I wanted to hug her. To sum it up. Ashley deserves recognition for her leadership. It's further evidenced by the staff she manages.”

“Today we went to the Home Depot in Neptune looking for a deck box to store our patio cushions. We were helped by Nick in the Garden Center. We were overwhelmed by the sizes and choices. Nick was so very helpful and knowledgeable about the measurements and quality of the products. He really made our day! We purchased one and he assisted us with the very large and heavy box to the cashier and right out to our car, where he loaded it for us as well. Well done, Nick! Thank you so much.”

“Within the past month, I have gone into the Ocean Grove hardware store and each time I have been met with a smile and, “How can I help you.” I have gotten everything I have needed whether it was paint, eye hooks, air filters for the furnace, and today an outdoor electrical outlet box. I installed the new box with a new outlet that I had purchased from Home Depot and it didn’t work. I went back to OG hardware and spoke with Dan. He was very helpful, telling me all the possible scenarios, one of which was that perhaps the outlet I had was defective. I bought a new outlet, went home and eureka!!! It worked!! I am cutting up my Home Depot card and will do all my shopping at the Ocean Grove hardware store, where quality and excellent, friendly service is always to be found.”
