“I go here almost daily with 5-15 packages and the staff is amazing. Everything is prepaid and they scan it in and give me a receipt no problem. I’ve had my son or parents drop stuff off for me and they treat them just as nice. Anytime I have questions they are happy to help and explain what needs to be purchased to ship my items the correct way. I’ve gone to a lot of post offices in the area and Mahwah is hands down the nicest and most informative.”

The postal service is actually my favorite branch in the Federal government. You should feel lucky you can mail a letter across the country for only 73 cents. If it were Fedex or UPS it would be $5.00. Super efficient.”

“All of the staff there are absolutely the best. Specially NOELL ! They're all very kind and helpful and I've never had any problems, no matter how busy they are. Noell is extraordinary though. She always apologizes for the wait, even if there are only a few in line. She is thorough, friendly, helpful, kind and so sincere. She seems to LOVE helping people. We are SO very lucky to have her in our great post office of Ringwood NJ”
“My wife went to the post office to get both of our kids their first passports. They received amazing service, and were in and out within 30 minutes. The staff is incredibly pleasant and efficient, and took the time to patiently explain everything. We live in town, so we know how great this post office is, but if you need a passport, it’s worth the drive to get one here.”

First review I’ve ever made, and I am only doing it because the service was that terrible. Horrible phone experience. They threw away a letter that took me 3-4 hours to make for my gf. Don’t have time to go during their horrible business hours. I tried calling them to fix a mistake I made and waited for 45min on hold until it randomly hung up on me. Worst service i have experienced in my LIFE. Don’t believe i will ever use USPS again. They need to get ts fixed asap. Horrible service overall. if i could give 0 stars. I would. Threw out a very very very sentimentally valuable and un-replaceable letter. 0/5.”
“Frequent customer at this location and the guys upfront (Scott, Oswald, Eric) have been nothing short of a delight and respectful and very helpful each and every time. With that being said, some reactions and reviews here give a false impression of this office to the public and are only based on what I have witnessed as customers having a lack of courtesy towards the gentlemen and wanting to be immune to the USPS policies. “The people that work out of the Wanaque post office are very helpful and go out of their way to help their customers it's a shame that USPS is such a terrible organization that when you have a problem you cannot get in touch with any body it is Mid March and we are just getting some Christmas cards delivered UPS just outright sucks”
“All the stars for John, who helped me with passport things today. Negative stars for the woman taking pictures for the passport and processing- she rolled her eyes and huffed when I had a question. In general she was super rude, and I was nothing but polite? If it had been busy I might have understood the frustration, but it wasn't and she didn't even try to help get my documents correct.”
“My mailman Agit and the post office employee Marsha went all the way to help me with getting my package. I missed the delivery and went to the post office to check if it's still possible to pick it up the day before 4th July. Marsha called Agit and he came back to my house second time and delivered the package. I'm truly grateful both of them for getting my package on time. It's a pleasure to deal with professionals, the people who literally would run an extra mile to help the customers. Thank you again.”

“Judy is the only saving grace of this place. I only bring my packages here when she is on duty. She is fast, organized and knows her stuff. Unfortunately you can tell she is overworked and under appreciated. Last week she was on vacation and the whole place fell apart. The whole town was talking about it. I realize nowadays it’s hard to find people with a good work ethic but maybe they should reward people like Judy who work harder than what is required of them.”

“Not exactly what’s sure with all of the negative reviews. I go here pretty frequently to drop off clothing and I never have any issues with the staff. They are very fast and efficient at what they do. Don’t take what everyone says as the truth. I’ll be honest, I went in earlier today and a customer was incredibly rude after being told that she needed to make an appointment for something. She then stormed out and cursed the lady out while there were CHILDREN in the post office. It’s not the employees who are the problem, it’s the customers.”

“I can only say good things about the people who work in this post office on Pompton Plains Crossroad in Wayne, NJ. On several occasions I needed to contact this post office to track down lost packages that were sent to me from international locations. The most recent time it was due to the sender putting an incorrect zip code on the package. Each time the people I spoke with at this post office were incredibly helpful. They clearly cared about finding my lost packages and getting them delivered to me. They were always available when I called on the phone (which hardly ever happens nowadays even with big companies), and they called me when they had updated information. And every time they found my lost packages and had them delivered to me. I don't understand why others have given low ratings to this post office. I think the people there are fantastic!”

Also, the town isn’t all that big, if they set out at 07:10 to do their route(s), then why is it that In almost 10 hours it hasn’t arrived. I live not even 2 minutes away. Aside from that, they’re a grade A post office.”
