“The store is clean and organized and everyone who works there is always willing to help with questions. I moved from the area and I'm so sad I don't have a trader Joe's in my new location. I drive over half an hour to go back this location. I hope they put one in the Belvidere area... please, trader joe's, I beg you!”
“Wegmans is hands down one of my favorite grocery stores! The selection of fresh vegetables, fruits, and cheeses is always impressive and beautifully displayed. My kiddos absolutely love the famous green cart where they get to “drive” while we shop — it makes the whole trip fun for them. Their baked goods and cake selection are always tempting and delicious. The staff is consistently helpful, friendly, and make the experience even better. Always a pleasure shopping here!”
“Whole Foods Market is a fabulous full size market with healthy, organic and fresh food. There is a great variety of items for the health conscious consumer. Be prepared to spend. If you like coffee bars, they have a good one here with seating. Their house brand is 365 and very good in my opinion. A lot of money can be saved with the 365 brand. They also have an Amazon return counter that is very convenient. There are too many good things to say for one small review. Go see it for yourself, and enjoy!”
“Excellent quality. Everything is very fresh and surprisingly affordable (compared to let’s say Wegmans). I bought everything needed for sushi but will be going back for meats and fish in general because it was very good quality. I used their salmon for some seared salmon caviar nigiri I made at home; delicious. Everyone agreed the salmon was very good quality. A++”
“First and foremost the staff here is so friendly. The store is clean and organized.
I use the website to locate items since it’s accurate and easy.
Prices are average. I typically only buy sale items. Occasionally the prices are incorrect too. You have to be a hawk and take pictures of shelf price tag.
My biggest concern is how often I buy produce and it’s spoiled or rotten. It happens every month. I try my hardest to inspect the food before I purchase it but somehow I keep getting the rotten stuff.”
“The food here is extremely delicious. The cashier and chef are also so nice. It was surprising for me to find out the Chef was vegan and cooking the meals so well and flavorful. My husband and I are in here once a week- our favorite has been their Chop cheese.
They have a sign for the chop cheese being a guaranteed return choice and its 1000% true.”
“You know you get solid both produce and prepared dishes every time, everyday at WFM. The trust and care evident in their on the floor operations inspires confidence & the wide of services from pickup to delivery to Amazon returns and pickup in store all add to its becoming part of our biweekly life!”
“I happen to be in the area for the first time in about 15 years. It was great to see the development. I went into the market for to find some lunch. They had a great section with premade sandwiches package with the soda and chips. Staff is really nice store was organized and clean. I’ll definitely be back if I’m in the area.”

“Good store with everything you need in an Indian store. Well organized and clean aisles. If you are buying a lot going to Oak Tree or Rt27 makes sense because this place is about 10% higher in price, which makes sense for the convenience”
“Less than a mile from Kings sits Bishop’s, quietly proving that two grocery stores can exist in the same town while operating in entirely different financial universes.
Bishop’s used to be family owned, and even though it’s now part of a chain, it still feels like the kind of neighborhood grocery where someone might know your name… or at least remember your usual deli order.
The store isn’t huge, but it’s well stocked in a way that suggests someone actually thought about what people in the area buy. You won’t find twenty-seven varieties of artisanal quinoa imported from a Scandinavian monastery, but you will find the things you actually need.
And here’s the big difference compared with its nearby neighbor.
The prices at Bishop’s do not require a consultation with your financial advisor.
They’re not bargain basement cheap, but they’re noticeably lower than Kings down the road. It’s the kind of place where you can fill a basket without quietly wondering if you should have refinanced the house first.
The deli is excellent. Properly run, good meats, good sandwiches, and the sense that they take it seriously without making a theatrical production out of it.
The fried chicken deserves special recognition.
Shockingly good. The kind of fried chicken that makes you pause mid-bite and reconsider your entire dinner plan for the evening. Crispy, flavorful, and absolutely capable of derailing any sensible meal prep intentions you had when you walked in.
The cheese selection is good, though not as extensive as Kings. You won’t find quite the same international cheese diplomacy happening in the dairy case, but what’s there is solid.
The real sleeper hit is the store-cured bacon. Excellent flavor, nicely done, and very capable of upgrading a Saturday morning breakfast from “normal” to “we should do this more often.”
Overall, Bishop’s feels like the practical sibling in the family.
Kings is the fancy cousin who shows up wearing linen and talking about olive oil regions.
Bishop’s is the one who says, “Yeah that’s nice… but we also have great fried chicken and you can still afford gas on the way home.”
A very good neighborhood grocery store.
And sometimes, that’s exactly what you want.”
“This Spanish market is very good when it comes to offering a huge and variety of different imported foods. I found Guatemalan, Ecuadorian, Peruvian, and a lot more. They also have a small little Italian section which is nice. I saw that they also have food and catering as well such as big meals. They have a food stand where you can pay by the pound for certain foods that they sell. They also have their own deli, which is always nice.”
“Such a homely vibe
You see familiar faces all around
They have plenty of variety of all the products especially that of dairy products.
For daily use skin care, they have lots of Indian brands
They did not have cotton buds though”
“Excellent customer service! When my first shipment was delivered I noticed that the produce wasn’t fresh enough. This was totally on the shipping company as they didn’t deliver the produce in a timely manner. It was supposed to be “2 day shipping” but unfortunately it took them 5 days to deliver. Upon contacting Basil Grocery, they immediately sent me the same produce with no charge. Unfortunately, the shipment company failed to deliver the produce in a timely manner again. I contacted Basil Grocery and explained them the issue. This time, they used a different company to ship the produce with no extra charge. They took full responsibility to ensure customer satisfaction. They were very quick to respond. I received my produce (Erik / plums) nice and fresh. I highly recommend Basil Grocery.”

“I've been getting delivery orders for a little over a year. Fresh items, consistently on time and rarely out of stock. The only thing I can say is keep an eye on any substitutions that are for something that's part of a deal. If that happens call the store. They're super accommodating. I spoke with Josh today for this very issue. He took care of it right away. Once or twice I've had a quality issue(i.e. vacuum sealed hot dogs not vacuum sealed). They happily issued a refund. I've also spoken with other employees. They were all super nice! Great team!”
“**Update-- went to the store today, 5/1, exchanged for another brand. All good.
Always have great experience here. However, I bought this strawberry jam today, 4/30, opened it (lid was properly sealed cuz I heard a pop when I twisted it open), and I saw mold.......expiration date on the jar is 10 Nov, 2026. Very disappointed.”
“You couldn’t ask for a better health food store in your neighborhood. From the day it opened, it has been a mainstay for us. The staff is top notch, food delicious and the ambience full of good energy.”
“Marique was so helpful on my visit to ShopRite. He went out of his way to help you get my favorite flavor of a drink that was only in the back of the store. Nice guy and a hard worker.”

“This is my go-to spot for Indian groceries. They have an incredible selection of spices, lentils, and hard-to-find flours that you just can't get at regular supermarkets. The store is clean, well-organized, and the staff is always welcoming and helpful if you need help finding something. Highly recommend!”
“Nice guy at register named Louis. Looks like he has not found his purpose in life. I hope he does soon. Interesting hot peppers. Great honey dew. Be fun to hike the lake near by. No, I did not try them, but maybe you should. Places I would have gone are shown in pics.”
“Most grocery stores are incredibly mediocre. This is what I look for when I want to go to a grocery store, unfortunately only certain areas have them. I was in and out quickly but healthy food seemed readily available.”
“Very nice place! Its tiny, but it has a lot of latino foods and snacks -plus! It's just off the train station. One time it was raining heavily and I went there trying my luck searching for an umbrella... and guess what? They had umbrellas which saved the heck outta me 🥰”
“The meat is always fresh, clean, and high quality. You can tell they take pride in how they prepare and handle everything. The cuts are perfect, whether you’re buying chicken, goat, lamb, or beef.
Staff is friendly and accommodates special requests, special shout out for Ahmed.”
“I would just like to give a huge Thank You to a girl named Ash that was working the self checkout this evening. I had an emergency and had to run out of the store. I asked if I could leave my cart at the front and would be back. She took the time to take my cold items and place them in the fridge without me even asking. Great customer service!”
“ACME is fine. They have a couple of items my regular supermarket doesn't carry. I do find them more expensive for the things I normally get at Shop Rite, but for the one offs it is great and they are opened later.”
“It's a ShopRite. One stop grocery shopping. Avoid on Friday afternoons...Very crowded. Check your receipts. A $6 clipped coupon was not applied today and we had to go to customer service for a refund.”
“All your African needs and wants are available at this store. Love shopping here. The shop owner will direct you straight to the location of all you seeking to buy.”
“If you are looking for everything African, including foods, clothes and even local drinks from West Africa then Maple Tree is the place to go. The owners are super friendly and nice. I recommend the owners and the shop to anyone looking to get some great kenkey and everything African. If it is not here, they will find you one.”
“Pleasant experience. A ready-to-eat filipino restaurant, you only need to point the dish you want to eat. They have a combo of 2 viands with rice. With a mini filipino grocery inside. Limited seating and parking space. Filipino hospitality is felt here. Accepts credit/debit cards. No highchair seen. No restroom for customers. See images for reference”
