“We have had such a wonderful experience with Riverside Veterinary Care on Columbus Avenue, especially during West’s first couple of visits. From the moment we walked in, everyone has been incredibly sweet, kind, patient, and genuinely caring.

West is a very young puppy and, as you can imagine, she can be quite a handful! The entire team has been so patient with her and has made every visit feel comfortable and positive. They take their time, handle her gently, answer all of our questions, and never make us feel rushed.

What has stood out to us most is how genuinely caring the staff has been toward West. You can tell they truly love animals and want both the pets and their owners to feel comfortable. As new puppy parents, having a veterinary team we can trust means so much to us.

The first time I took my cat here, we came to the awful conclusion that we would have to put him down, and despite being a first time patient, they treated him and me as if we had been a part of the Symphony family for years. “We’ve now had our third visit to this office and can only say that add Catalina and the entire staff are compassionate, courteous, high knowledgeable and caring. Two weeks ago our Dutch bunny was acting “off” and being now 10 years young - that’s like 2 million in bunny years- we called the clinic for a check up. Although Dr Cataldis schedule was packed, he made accommodation to fit us in. What a lucky break. Had we not made the appointment we’d be having a different conversation. Turns out our bunny had a nasty gash on his privates which had gotten infected, was inflamed and obviously extremely painful. The Dr and staff cleaned , disinfected and treated the nasty wound with prescient great care. We left with the needed meds and supplies to maintain a regimen and within 24 hours our bunny was back in business.
Long review- yes, but needed to explain how even went above and beyond to accommodate us and help heals our small family member. The cost was very reasonable and since then we’ve had one follow up and have another scheduled soon for a final check.

“I had an emergency with my handful of Bengal cat lol. A friend recommended Riverside Animal Hospital. First, very convenient- two blocks from my apartment, big plus. Second, everyone is so welcoming and nice. From the front desk to the vet staff and doctor. I saw Doctor Kaela Toback, very knowledgeable and caring, which is a BIG plus for any animal parent. I highly recommend this facility. And unfortunately, fortunately, I will be returning soon; I'm SURE.”

“We had such a wonderful experience with Dr. Chan and his team. From the moment he met Giggio, Dr. Chan was incredibly caring, patient, and professional. Since this was our first visit to the clinic and Giggio has several health issues, he took his time to listen carefully, understand his medical history, and really look at the bigger picture of what could be contributing to his health concerns. We never felt rushed, and it was clear that he genuinely cared about understanding Giggio as a whole.

The nurse was also extremely caring, gentle, and attentive with Giggio. What really stood out to me was how comfortable he seemed there. Giggio is usually very nervous at the vet, but surprisingly, he wasn’t nervous during this visit, which meant a lot to me and says so much about the calm and caring environment they created for him.

This clinic was recommended to us, and we are so happy we found it. I would highly recommend Dr. Chan and his team to anyone looking for compassionate, thorough, and professional veterinary care. We are truly grateful for the way they cared for Giggio. ❤”

“Right before Memorial Day weekend, my cat came down with a high fever, lethargy, and was not eating. My cat's primary vet at the time, would not see her until the following day, and Steinway Court Vet managed to see her as a new patient in such short amount of time, same day. Dr. Ordas was incredibly patient and kind. My cat's case was mysterious and required a bit of testing over a couple weeks to get to where we are now. While not every test was performed here, Dr. Ordas recommended and guided me every step of the way. At one point, the Vet called me after hours to check in and recommend treatment. Always checking in. The staff as well! Can't recommend this vet enough!

We're a couple weeks into her new treatment and I'm excited to say she's doing so well. We've returned to a sense of normalcy and I am a customer here for life.”

“I recently visited Lincoln Square Veterinary Hospital and wanted to provide a positive review of my experiences! The front desk was friendly, professional, and helpful. My new rescue, Moose, received a new patient exam and received his first month of flea and tick medication for free. Later that week he stayed overnight for medical boarding after his neuter surgery. When I picked him up he was happy and I could tell was very well taken care of! It gave me such peace of mind knowing he was well taken care of while I had to leave town. It’s hard to find a vet that feels local in NYC (especially with so many chains popping up), but Westside is an exception. They really do care about their patients.

Dr Chang is incredibly knowledgeable, she always takes the time to explain/answer questions (even when you have many)!

Dr Chang and Westside also helped our family navigate the hardest part of pet ownership- emergency hospitalization and eventually end of life care. The team was gentle throughout, it was clear they genuinely cared about our cat and helping us make the best decisions possible. It made a really horrible moment slightly better, which we will always appreciate.”

“I have a French Bulldog. French Bulldogs are kind of like the Range Rover of the dog world—they’re something of a status symbol despite a reputation of having a design that is not terribly robust. They are overpriced, high maintenance, and expensive to fix. If you were to add up the number of vets, specialists, and surgeons my 6.5 year-old Frenchie has seen, the number would be in the double digits, including a Bulldog breed specialist in Orange County, CA. I offer this to you as context; when I say Dr. Glennon at New Bridge Veterinary Practice sets the standard for veterinary care, it is not without numerous relative comparisons. Dr. Glennon has provided better dermatological care than the board certified dermatologist with the fancy office who charges 3 times as much. She’s handled post operative care for complications from a surgery that she did not perform. She’s cleaned teeth, performed skin biopsies and called in prescriptions on holidays. I’ve left her office after an extensive visit, and she’s called me later that night (after hours) with another treatment option she had thought of since we had left. I could talk ad nauseam about her experience and technical proficiency (both of which are vast), but what really sets Dr. Glennon apart from other vets is how much she cares. I truly get the feeling that she treats my dog the way she would one of her own. And for what its worth, she provided the same care for my wife’s family dog, who was not a cute, friendly French Bulldog, but a monster of a Shiba Inu who never met a vet he didn’t want to bite. She showed him a level of compassion, patience and understanding that quite frankly he did not deserve. That’s just who Dr. Glennon is. One time she got on the ground, grabbed the sides of my dog's face, and kissed him right on the mouth, for no particular reason. In summation, if you’ve made it this far into my rambling review and you still have reservations—don’t… you can’t go wrong with Dr. G. I plan on having dogs until the day I die, and I know they will be in the best hands possible, until the day that she retires.”
