The vet could never unless they knocked her out (very scary to witness tbh, and you’re always afraid something will go wrong). But not these Ladies at Barones. Sue cut her nails just fine when we took her to get groomed - said she just did it while she was in the tub. And then today Kim was also able to swiftly get her nails cut; she didn’t use the tub like Sue, just had us hold her and went quickly while cutting (not so fast as to make her bleed either) and gave my dog any pauses she needed to calm down. Got through her nails in like 10 minutes!
They’re good, seriously.
Their grooming is also excellent, both dogs come back clean, soft, and fluffy.

Both On the phone and in person everyone there was a pleasure to deal with. Our little pup has had some issues in the past getting groomed so he is a tough one, but they handled him like professionals. Even the owner came over and introduced herself. We got them back and they looked absolutely amazing. Couldn't have had a better overall experience. So happy we found them and will for sure be using them in the future for all our pet needs. You can instantly tell she loves her job. Over the years my dogs never reacted the way they do with her. She doesn't a fantastic job grooing them and she remembers every detail big or little about them. I never have to remind her. It was their very first grooming appointment—my 11-week-old mini Bernedoodles, Milo and Theo—and I was a little nervous going in, but the team made the entire experience amazing.
They treated my pups with so much love and patience, and you could truly tell they were in great hands. When I picked them up, they looked incredible and, more importantly, they were happy, calm, and not scared at all. Honestly, they didn’t even want to leave!
I feel so lucky to have found this groomer. We’ll definitely be back for our next appointment in six weeks. Thank you so much, Salty Dog, for taking such wonderful care of Milo and Theo! ??

My cat is almost 12 years old and has some GI issues that unfortunately can get worse in a matter of hours with little warning. With that said, I sometimes need her seen ASAP. Last week being one of those incidents.. I was up all night with zero sleep with a sick cat. Next morning I called and they were able to get me a late afternoon appointment. Staff is helpful and Dr DiLorenzo is so kind, gentle and reassuring. Listens and explains everything to you. Grateful to know I have this wonderful place I know I can rely on to keep my baby healthy and alive!

In no way is he perfect but what dog or human is perfect? But the overwhelming difference has allowed me to walk Trey with little issues. He stays by my side. If he strays, as dogs will… I was given the tools to rein him in. Both Trey and his mom could not be more pleased with the results. Also, the team kept me in the loop and posted pictures throughout his stay. This was most appreciated by his mom ????

The original Rich's Ice Cream
1801 NJ-37 E, Toms RiverStopped by The Original Rich’s for an evening ice cream snack, and it easily lived up to the hype. This might honestly be one of the best ice cream spots in town!
My father went with a cherry and vanilla ice cream topped with hot fudge. It looked incredible, especially with real half cherries loaded throughout the ice cream rather than just an artificial flavor.
I opted for a Tropical Sundae. It was a fantastic combination of vanilla ice cream, coconut, toasted coconut, bananas, and pineapple. It was absolutely amazing! The tropical flavor combination and texture from the toasted coconut were spot on.
The portion sizes are huge. I left more than stuffed! I'm already looking forward to going back for two scoops so I can sample a few more of their flavors. I also spotted the Fluffernutter Sundae on the menu while we were there, and that is definitely at the top of my list for our next visit to bring back childhood memories of eating that kind of a sandwich.
