“I had a great experience with American Coin & Stamp Company in Clifton. I spoke with Charlie on the phone beforehand, and he was incredibly warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable right from the start.
I brought in some old coins, including a few Indian Head dollars, and the exchange was very fair and informative. Another gentleman took the time to explain things clearly, which made the whole process feel comfortable and trustworthy.
What really stood out was the kindness and personal touch. My girlfriend is of Dominican heritage, and the gentleman even shared an old Dominican dollar bill with her, which meant a lot and really summed up how thoughtful and genuine the experience was.

“Lanoba has the most well-refurbished and special pieces the city has to offer in a SPRAWLING warehouse. The worst part about going to Lanoba is DECIDING which piece(s) to bring home. Additionally, Lars & David are so knowledgeable and have timely, excellent customer service. We had our pieces delivered within 48 hours of purchase, AND, when we accidentally marked a piece of our furniture we were connected with a mastermind expert who fixed the problem within days. I truly not recommend Lanoba more!”
“What a beautiful shop, full of rich history and guided by people who move through the world with deep passion and love for their community. Even before stepping inside Wing On Wo & Co, it was a delight to see the mural across Mosco Street, “In the Future Our Asian Community is Safe” created by multiple generations of community members and project spearheaded by the W.O.W. Project. The building itself is crowned with custom terrazzo parapet tiles at the top, blended with broken pieces of porcelain as a tribute to its recent centennial celebrations.
The family behind Wing On Wo & Co—Gary, Lorraine, Mei, and their staff—are such kind and welcoming people that being there truly feels like being at home. I picked up a necklace, charming chopstick rests, and beautiful postcards—this shop is the perfect place to find thoughtful souvenirs! My favourite piece from here however, is the purple fish vase that I love to keep my dried roses in :)

“I came to Gray & Davis in search for a vintage/antique wedding ring. I was received warmly by Ali, Rick and Laura. I saw a GORGEOUS regal Victorian ring from their collection, and it was wonderful to learn of its history. Let me say: that ring sang to me! Its essence is sophisticated, its form is beautiful, its history and legacy very humbling. To have survived almost 200 years, its survived hardness, yet, it’s here, still beautiful, still humble.
I returned a few days later to purchase. Laura walked me through the transaction, and while my husband and child waited, Ali was so sweet to let my baby girl hold a precious amethyst stone. The whole experience was warm, inviting and kind. I appreciate everyone so much for such an important purchase. I know the ring will be cherished for everything it has come to signify, including this experience.

“Biggie's is great! The owners are super lovely and run it themselves. Their dog, Biggie, is super cute. Often there's people playing chess outside- it's pretty rad.
Inside is a vintage lovers paradise, or more specifically, a vintage smokers dream. They specialize in refurbishing old lighters, ash trays, and smoking sets. Trust me, they're awesome. If you're not a smoker, they have old magazines, game sets, and old-style soda. If you'd like to become a smoker but are scared, they have candy cigarettes. Sick!
Anyway, I like to pop by whenever I'm in the neighborhood. You should pop in, too.”
