“This is my go-to neighborhood spot. Their breakfast and lunch sandwiches are delicious and ENORMOUS. I especially love the All The Way, their lox bagel sandwich. It's always enough for two meals for me. I follow them on instagram for their weekly specials; they're always so creative! They have a huge variety of beers, wines, pre-mixed cocktails, etc. Every time I'm hosting, I stop by to pick up drinks and snacks. Everyone on the staff is so welcoming and the patio is a comfortable place to relax on a beautiful day.”

“Always accommodating, friendly and polite. A couple Times I left my ATM card at home and was given credit. Not sure about the other reviews hard to fathom but circumstances differ depending on who's there and who's not which I've seem frequently that the staff is different. Hard to give less than 5 starts considering lost people spend less than 90 seconds in there LOL but some people are just mad at the world today and it's become my very coming god forbid you don't bend over backwards and massage someone's ego, race, gender, Ethnicity etc....”

“This store is just one block away from my home. It is currently under new management. With the new management, there have been several changes that have made the store spectacular.Everything is kept super clean and they are always fully stocked with the latest and greatest spirits. If they don't carry something that you want, you can ask them and they will get it in stock for you.The gentleman that work there and own the establishment are super friendly and gracious. They are helpful and attentive. The owners are up to date on new releases and always offer up new suggestions if you're looking for a particular item and unsure of what to get. All types of wine and beer!They also just added a new delivery option. “I moved from New York to Weehawken a year and a half ago. And in all my years I’ve never seen a more friendly family based neighborhood store. They are there whenever you need them. When we are unable to get to the store they deliver within minutes. Very friendly and the best prices in the neighborhood.”

I decided to do a quick Yelp search and found that Discount Wine & Spirits delivers in the Weehawken area too! My order was correct and they delivered my wine in less than an hour! “Hands down the best tabbouleh and hummus in the area! Yes, this is a small mom & pop operation and no it's not fancy like a whole foods - BUT there is something at S & J that I feel so fortunate to have happened upon. I was visiting from California where it is safe to say that we have some of the best food with the freshest ingredients in the United States. My friend and I stayed at an airbnb less than a block from this liquor store and there was a blizzard coming the next day. So I randomly went in to see what kind of nibbles that I could stock up on. I purchased the tabbouleh salad and hummus dip. The son said his mother makes it from scratch and it was the best around. He was not kidding. I did not expect it to be so fresh and delicious. I also had some of the grilled chicken breast which was also very flavorful! I made a point to go in and say hello to the mom and purchase more tabbouleh and hummus before the end of my stay. The mom was such a joy and told me all about her passion for preparing food. She told me her granddaughter LOVED her tabbouleh and I had to commend her for it. It must be THAT GOOD if a 2 year old child asks to eat a SALAD that's green (with parsley, tomatoes and bulgar). Right? I couldn't eat tomatoes by themselves without gagging until I was twenty. I wish this deli was on my block because I'd get their tabbouleh and hummus all the time!”
