“Matt and Mike’s Italian Market is the best place in South Philly! I love their Italian Specialty Hoagies on Sarcone’s Bread! I’ve been coming here since I was a child, picking up groceries with my grandmother. Now, I take my child there. My grandmother, Cathy, has been a loyal customer since the beginning. Matt and Mike have grown as a family and witnessed generations grow.
I see some reviews on here about “scams” or people’s “card number” being used, but these guys are real honest and solid people. I’ve never had any type of transaction fraud my whole life of knowing them. These are some good men who work hard to provide for their families. I highly recommend Matt & Mike’s Italian Market!!”

The seafood is priced reasonably and they have a variety of vegetables and wild meat like rabbit and deer meat. It's all frozen but fresh. “ALDI is my go-to supermarket. Their prices can't be beat. While you can't find EVERYTHING that you want there, you can get all your essentials and more for a fraction of the price. Their produce is sold in bulk (you can't buy a single lemon) but it's decent quality and you get a lot for the price. They also have a huge selection of nice cheese which is always handy for a party.”

There is one 12 mins from my house but I happily pass that one to goto the Deptford one because the store is always organized, clean, stocked and pricing is unbeatable. Parking is horrible, and this place is cash only. But if you are looking for indonesian food. This is the place. Emping, kacang medan, or even mi goreng in a cup (which I didn't remember seeing growing up) .”

“What a strange little amalgamation of a store! Hence my perhaps overly generous star rating, but it's just such a convenient oddity on a stretch of road lacking competition. Think part smoke shop with dollar store goods, small deli, a convenient yet unglamorous quick stop for staples with a chatty owner. It's endearingly run-down yet impeccably clean. In short, a stop I've never stopped at until I moved to the wooded borough of Wenonah from a slightly more urban hood! It's truly all relative.”
