“I had an excellent experience bringing my car here for the first time. I live in north Jersey and I was told that my serpentine belt was badly cracked and it needed repaired immediately when I brought my car to get new windshield wipers . I could not find a local mechanic with availability to fix my car asap, but I was going to be in the south Jersey area later that day to visit family. I called Lou’s Automotive Center and I was told to bring my car in whenever I could. I immediately could tell that Lou was an honest mechanic who only does what is necessary. My serpentine belt got fixed and my car was ready within 3-4 hours. I cannot say how much I appreciate a mechanic who I’ve never been to before so willingly having the time to fix my car on such short notice. Whenever I am in the area and need work done on my car I’ll be sure to take it to Lou’s!”

“Came in on a whim because my car was out of windshield wiper fluid. The front desk worker cleaned the front of my car that was clogging my windshield wiper drain and filled it to the top! Anyone in the area should service their car here!”
“I was traveling from NY to DC to take my daughter to a concert. The dealership replaced my transmission recently but it started to overheat…I pulled over to get one of those free code checks at an AutoZone and a guy in there suggested I call Anthony and ask him what my issue was. After spending time on the phone with me, he said I can come down….. I still had to get to DC that night so I couldn’t actually get anything fixed so it’s not like Anthony was getting a job out of this call. He knew that and still told me to come by.
He came out, spent 20 minutes or so with me. He ran the codes, and even got under the car to look and tell me what to tell my dealership back home (they didn’t fix my issue the second time).
I offered him a few bucks to at least buy him lunch or something. He refused and just told me to drive safe and have fun at the show.
He didn’t have to do anything really. If I was an Eskimo and Anthony sold ice- I’d buy it from him. He explained more about transmission to me in 5 minutes than my dealership could figure out after 2 full service appointments.
I’m only bummed I don’t live anywhere near AC Transmissions because I’d go there for anything.
If you own a business, do yourself a favor and be like Anthony. My daughter even said when we pulled away, “he was nice”.

Gave them a call and they had an opening. They checked out the car and it needed a new battery.Got it all done same day. Friendly owners. Honestly the price of the new battery was surprising but checked around and it’s about right. Damn Covid! Very pleased. Will go back to them soon.My girlfriend said that her dad was an auto mechanic and own his own business, and he would not charge a diagnostic fee on top of a service. That’s why the bill was higher than we expected.Next service was my Jeep- oil change, right rear light replace, check brakes, tire rotation- bring rear to front -My son is a certified auto mechanic, and he decided to do the brakes for me when he looked at my brakes he said that I was at a six not a four as the man said, so I technically did not need brakes done, but I had them done anyways as the rotors were in need of replacing.Would I use them again? Yes! Why? I felt honesty from him and I felt he did a good job with great customer service.”

“When i had my old dodge caravan i had taken it to a trans specialist up on the black horse pike in turnersville/williamstown area and the guy lied to me and told me i needed an $1800 rebuilt trans. I took it to Gerre's and he says no you just need a pump.”

“Recently, my 2016 jeep grand Cherokee front driver headlight needed replacing. Bought bulbs from AutoZone and representive was kind enough to replace it. Extremely nice since the air filter ox needed to be removed. Bought another to replace passenger side next day. After several attempts by me, this was extremely difficult. Took the jeep to Mat Auto repair and guys were kind enough to get me in immediately. After checking, the bulb I bought from AutoZone came from Germany and was not the same as the day before bulb , which came from china. Had to order new bulb and with this replacement, front bumper had to be removed to get this bulb replaced. It was extremely difficult replace if not for removing the bumper, which Mats Auto did with ease and not difficult at all. New bulb arrived, replaced and bumper was installed without any issues within an about 20 minutes. Extremely knowledgeable representative, excellent customer service and extremely reasonable price, I will not say the amount but it was excellent, less then $180 for what was done and needed to be. I’ve watched several Ytube videos of this replacement and most all have to remove bumper to replace this bulb. Dealer wanted over $300 plus. I live less then 2 miles away from this shop for the past 15 years and never thought about going here. I’m so glad I met Mat Automotive representatives, y new repair shop. AAA +”
