“Recently went on a family vacation and rented a big suv from this airport location. When we arrived service was just ok, a machine could've done what they did. However, on our way back when we returned the vehicle, the difference in professionalism, kindness and just overall customer service was definitely felt. The gentleman that helped us was super nice, prefessional and kind. When we thanked him, all he said was, "of course its our pleasure. Let us know if when we can help you on you next rental need". This was a short statement but it felt honest, like he really care. Anyways, this was a simple transaction turned into a great experience. For parents traveling with 4 big bags, several backpacks and carseats, hi help made a huge difference.”
“They were super helpful. I had to change my plates but the screws in the back were rusted and wouldn't come off. I went to Hogan's without an appointment and they still helped me out. They had to force the screws out and drill new holes. Took about 10 minutes and they didn't even charge me anything.”
“Very easy rental process. The 16-passenger van is my favorite although there is no luggage space. We use duffle bags under the seats and small suitcases at least (2) 9x14x21 in the back. Family Road Trips.”

“I rented a RAV4 in May and had meant to write this review sooner—better late than never! I’ve always had a great experience renting from Enterprise, especially at the Route 35 Keyport, NJ branch. Everyone there is consistently helpful, courteous, and efficient.
During this visit, I was assisted by Nyla, who went above and beyond to accommodate my request. She really listened and worked hard to ensure I was satisfied with my rental. I also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Josie, who went out of her way to help me recover my Ray-Ban sunglasses that I accidentally left in the car. She was diligent in tracking them down from the next renter, and I’m incredibly grateful to have them back.

“The absolute best car rental service and I have used many for both business and personal travel. Dom and Cindy go out of their way to have the vehicles ready, CLEANED (Dom was fanatical about cleaning my rental of all visible pollen, disinfecting the interior, etc), and safe for use ahead of pickup. The check in and out process is extremely efficient, demonstrating their understanding that their customers have someplace to be. Highly recommend above all others! “I arrived in NJ from Florida and reserved a rental car from National at Newark airport. Unfortunately the cars they had for me to choose were too small and the largest one was a Jeep Renegade but the jeep had no running boards which would have made it impossible for my husband to get into the jeep. I went to speak with one of the agents in the parking area, his name was Steve. First let me say he was super nice and a pleasure to speak with. I told him my issue and asked if he could help. He said of course, let’s go see what we can find. He also asked my what vehicle would I be comfortable driving. I told him I own a Tahoe back home so he was like let’s see what we can find. So we walked around a bit and then he said I’ll have a look and told me to meet him back over where we first spoke. He then pulled up in a Jeep Wagoneer. He asked if the truck was good for me and I said yes. He then said he was upgrading it for me for free. I was so thankful for Steve and his assistance and kindness. He was such a pleasure to speak with and a true asset to National. He is what customer service is all about and should be! Thank you Steve from National Car Rental at Newark Airport. He made my trip back to my home state of NJ a true pleasure!!!”

In an attempt to correct the situation , Daniel even got on the phone with my agent to help them re-enter the reservation - all while juggling the phones, other customers, and questions from his coworkers with kindness and a smile. “Extremely happy with the car (really nice Nissan Altima), the staff (very friendly, courteous, accommodating, and I'm sorry I forgot your name), the location (walking distance from just about anywhere in Metuchen) and the rates (very reasonable), and I'd definitely recommend!
Just a couple of very minor caveats, nothing that would cost them a star:
1. Online reservation process is a little quirky. Pickup time had to be 10 AM or earlier, otherwise nothing was available. There was no problem with me picking up the car later than 10 when I asked, though.
2. You MUST have your own auto insurance with collision coverage, regardless of whether or not you select CDW.
