“This was our 4th stay and always find that the staff are Very friendly and we love the Old West feel. We would encourage a stay if you love rustic and old Hollywood film. The bathroom is a little tight but functional.”

“Has microwave, refrigerator, iron, hair dryer. Breakfast (waffles) was advertised online. No waffles. The staff are nonenglish speaking. Not expecting good hospitality for a cheap room. Very pleasant. Has oversize parking, ice. Very comfortable bed. Front staff walk out barefoot & in pajamas. Housekeeper "take your time". Better than most Route 66 stays. A Better stay here than motel that was about $5-10 more the night before. Thank You!!! Well worth the money.”

“I would recommend Microtel. The owners are so nice and polite. Had vehicle problems and nobody couldn't come out to help and the owners let stay inside to stay warm. They turn the heater on and kept asking if I was gonna be okay. Once help arrived we didn't know if my vehicle could get fix and being that it was in their business area I told them. They said I could keep my ride there for couple of days til I figure out something. Usually at other Hotels and Motels would have your ride towed away. But not these guys. So if I were you and your looking for a warm welcoming with great customer service go check out the Microtel Inn & Suites in Gallup NM.”

“We've stayed 3 times now with our 10 lb dog and thoroughly pleased with the room, furnishings, staff and amenities. Adjacent to an excellent Denny's that offers a VA discount on meals. Tip: do not leave your dog alone in the room, as it may bark, which ours did. It's better to put it in your car and drive to Denny's where you can park and watch the car, even if it's right next door.”

“Great Stay. Stayed here Feb 2024* on a long road trip. Conveniently just off the highway. The good reviews are in-line with the experience I had. Clean, nice, quiet, safe… everything worked and the staff was very nice. Breakfast was varied and well stocked. Had dinner across the street at El Rancho, the place was hoppin but got in right way and had a nice dinner. All in all a great stop.”

“The staff were very friendly and the room was fine. Everything was clean and the hotel was quiet. The guy at the desk told me he gave me a room away from the elevator so it would be extra quiet, but he actually gave us the second room from the elevator. We paid extra to include breakfast and I'm glad we did. The breakfast was good and worth the extra $11 for 4 of us to eat. One complaint I have is that they had 1 server for the entire breakfast hall. She had to take orders, deliver food and drinks, seat customers, check out orders, and bus tables all by herself. It slowed everything down terribly. Do better Hilton!”

“The absolute best hotel staff I've ever met. Heather, Ken, John, and so many other wonderful people took such great care of us during our 10 day stay. The rooms are clean and spacious, the gym is solid, the laundry room is nice, and it's all very pet friendly. The only ding is the breakfast is subpar, but that's a fault of Marriott corporate I'm guessing, since their cook and team want to add more options. But again, what makes this hotel terrific is the staff. The manager Heather even has a project called Hez' Hounds to rescue and rehome stray and abandoned dogs in Gallups. Beautiful people!!!”

“5 stars for this fabulous little hotel. I was really surprised by my experience, considering that it's a budget place. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the room was renovated and clean as a whistle. Bed - comfy. Linens - soft and fresh. Bath - clean, with a spacious shower. Pet friendly establishment, but quiet throughout the night of my stay. They even have an indoor pool and jacuzzi. Bonus - dog park, too. Plenty of parking, close to restaurants and other shopping. Absolutely would stay here again.”

“Excellent service (Jeremy) and an excellent "diner" meal. Most truck stops have gone to fast food chains. This was a treat to get a nice sit down meal for a change.Parking: Lots of parking at TA and Loves.”

“The rooms are a bit dated but nice enough for a good nights sleep. The service was good. The lady at check-in was super nice. Breakfast was pretty good for hotel food. I liked that I was able to park right in front of my door.”

“Enjoyed our stay. Looked very busy but had room available. Big room and pet friendly was perfect for our overnight stay after being on the road for 48 hours.Rooms: Room was roomy and clean. Just a bit hot and had the air on and it didn’t cool much. Bed was big and smelled clean. Loved the shower, fit me and my husband comfortably and the soaps available were perfect.Food & drinks: Great selection of food and coffee is still as good as I remember (used to work at an IHG in Kentucky) Egg and cheese omelets were good but the biscuits and gravy was cold.”

“Contrary to some of the reviews we found this place to be exceptionally clean. The room was very nice. It is older and in need of some TLC but not horrendous. The breakfast was decent and fresh. This Hampton does fall a little bit short of Hilton expectations. Did not have the amenities you are used to..no conditioner or lotion. The staff was nice and very honest. The price was fine in comparison to others in the area. The biggest issue is the crime rate in the area and quite alot of homeless in the parking lots all around.”

“A little older, central air, running water somewhere kept us awake all night. Close to train tracks at a rail yard so noisy that way as well. Friendly enough staff, free breakfast was ok. Really cool steel sculptures throughout.Rooms: Clean but somewhat out of date.”
