The crew do what they can under the capitalistic purvue that is local animal care and supplies.Honestly the crew here is better than the cottonwood location, but the whole place always smells faintly. You know the smell, earthy yet full of chemicals. It's something you get used to if you are in there too long. Pretty quiet when we go, if they play music I don't hear it, but I prefer it quiet.
The adoption center has a good rotation of pets, hopefully being adopted. Things are clean mostly, but I would avoid the large crowds on weekends.
Good staff. They are basically the only string keeping that place together.

Despite his overwhelming anxiety and discomfort with having his feet touched or nails trimmed, I found hope. After dropping him off, I always worried about his behavior. However, our groomer Alexia made a lasting impression from our very first visit. She thoughtfully sent texts with updates throughout his time there and called to let me know he was ready. Her positive and encouraging reports on his behavior were uplifting. After four appointments with Alexia, we are rewarded with a clean, happy, and handsome Shih Tzu, showcasing the remarkable transformation that care and understanding can achieve. Coronado Pet Hospital: Smith Jennifer DVM

The staff and the doctors are so kind, gentle, knowledgeable, friendly and thorough. My boxer is 10 years old and has been coming here since he was a little puppy! When we walk in he goes straight to the scale and sits right down so I can call out his weight for the check in process.

373 Unser Blvd SE, Rio RanchoThis review is very overdue. It's now the one year anniversary of when Dr. Trujillo and Dr. Hale diagnosed a dog that I had been desperately trying to save. I had picked him up in Alabama, literally starving to death. He unfortunately wasn't my first starvation case, but sadly his condition was far more complicated than that. Other veterinarians ran multiple tests and gave iffy answers, they tried different diets and medications; one even wanted to do exploratory surgery to see why he couldn't keep food down. This upset me greatly because I doubt he would have survived that. Dr. Trujillo and Dr. Hale ran some labs, asked a lot of questions, and came back with some idea of what was going on. He had an obstruction of the duodenum. They got us scheduled shortly thereafter for emergency surgery at Roadrunner. I was so elated to have an answer. We were all hoping that he had eaten something he shouldn't have while scavenging and that removing it would save him. Just to finish out the story, Oreo did not live. But these vets were correct about where the problem started. Unfortunately, it was tumors all the way down and there was no way to save him. But they were so compassionate and tried so hard for my Oreo. I couldn't have asked for more. Also, Dr. Trujillo made time to put one of our elderly cats to sleep when he took a downturn. I appreciate her greatly for not making him wait days to pass peacefully. Another doctor we love is Dr. Moulton. She has taken great care of several of our cats. Tooth extractions, bladder stones - you name it. She also takes great care of Bear, the dog we adopted after Oreo passed. Bear is a unique fella. He had knee surgery at Roadrunner, and Dr. Moulton keeps him pain-free with arthritis meds and keeps his seizures at bay. She also did great aftercare on our dog, Cubba, after he was attacked at a dog park (Roadrunner stitched him up since it happened on a weekend). He had several sites with stitches and Dr. Moulton was there for us anytime we had questions or concerns. We love all of the staff at Zia. They know our pets, they know us, and they are there for us when we need them. I couldn't recommend this veterinary office more!

The moment we walked in, we were greeted with a friendly smile.Then taken to treatment room and immediately were treated right on time. I highly recommend them. The medication and shampoo that they Prescribed for my dog, Melo was so helpful after many years of him having skin problems. He looks so much better after just one use. I am so thankful that we found Dr. Hall and his team. I will be taking the rest of my fur babies there. I gave them five stars ⭐️ but they definitely deserve way more!! Thanks again for the wonderful service! ?

Small business and excellent Dr. will soon retire which explains less hours that are available. They have offered for our pup good wellness care, and shots plus routine heartworm med. were affordable. Front desk help is so informative with issues that were resolved often over the phone. FYI- though for emergencies, you will be referred elsewhere.

Good Buddy Dog Training

It is HUGE, the staff are super super kind and attentive and they had the cutest holiday decor everywhere. We arrived 30 minutes after opening and everyone was super cheery and welcoming. My food was bomb, if you have seen my other reviews you'll know I'm a big benny girl and there's hits it out of the park. The load you up with hashbrowns too, far to many for me to finish!
