Also... their plant collection is amazing!

Three Dog Bakery Albuquerque
9821 Montgomery Blvd NE STE B, AlbuquerqueGreat little dog boutique and bakery located in the northeast heights. They have a large variety of homemade dog treats that are absolutely adorable, so it is hard to choose. We ended up choosing a personalized bone for Blu and a cute hot dog. She really enjoyed them both!! No crumbs were left behind. Three dog also sells other packaged treats that are of good quality, (our dog loves the beef trachea) and also dog accessories.

Pet Vet Market
11200 Montgomery Blvd NE # 1, AlbuquerqueI've had 2 experiences thus far with Pet Vet Market & both have been really great. My first experience was visiting for the shot clinic. I'll start by saying this offering is incredibly admirable. The clinic is adorable and doesn't require reservations. I stopped by with my 2 pups and the experience was pretty stressful and long. I waited for ~1.5 hours outside in the summer and it wasn't comfortable. During the wait there was a dog that joined the wait whom was pretty aggressively barking- which set off heaps of dogs. But again I want to reiterate that they are doing great things with having this clinics & with it being open, of course it's to be expected that there will be a long wait and a few potentially uncomfortable situations. Today was my 2nd time heading in & it was to try the self dog wash area. It was my first time trying this VS heading to the groomers & the experience was great! There grooming products provided worked well & both the cleaning/drying stations were clean and safe. I called day of to see if an appt was available and they squeezed me in. Today happened to also be another shot clinic & this one looked a lot more enjoyable. Folks were allowed to wait inside and no dogs seemed to be barking at one another. So I'd say it's worth trying out & if the line is around the building/it's stressful; try to attend a different day. I'll be back to clean my pups on a regular basis!

Groomingdale's Pet Spa @ San Antonio
7321 San Antonio Dr NE Suite D, AlbuquerqueI have been going to Groomingdale's Pet Spa (San Antonio Location) for about 3 years now. They are amazing! When I return for pick up, my pet, Khona, always looks good and is well groomed. Outstanding job every time! Finally, I want to mention that I can absolutely trust Groomingdale's to take good care of my pet. Candidly, at Groomingdale's, I am not worried about any abuse or "rough handling" of Khona when left alone with them. In the past, I have heard "horror stories" at other pet care places about how pets are treated while being left alone with the groomer. This is not the case at Groomingdale's, which is why, along with their outstanding pet grooming services, I continue to be a loyal customer.

Manzano Animal Clinic
1041 Juan Tabo Blvd NE, AlbuquerqueWe've taken our cats to several clinics in ABQ and this is our favorite by a mile. Personable, professional, caring people who provide excellent care. Our experiences with Dr. Martin, Adam, Laura, Marissa, Timara, and Andrew have been top-notch and consistently so. Handling of our senior cat has been especially gentle and Dr. Martin is knowledgeable and current, has outstanding bedside manner, and is especially understanding and accommodating of our concerns (we had a very very bad vet tech and vet doctor experience at a clinic in Denver, and an awful front desk experience at another clinic here in town, so are a little bruised and anxious about how our cats are treated, and need open and honest communications too). The communication here is clear and kind. The clinic itself is clean and calm. We're grateful they're here.Recommend wholeheartedly!

Eye Care for Animals - Albuquerque
8724 Alameda Park Dr NE # C, AlbuquerqueMy dog has an eye growth that came back after cryo removal 18 months ago at a vet in Massachusetts, but he is also very old dog so I wanted to make sure another procedure was the right thing. The vet was incredibly knowledgeable, very kind, communicated well, and really helped me assess my options. We even found things with his eye we did not expect and she presented realistic tests and options for it. My dog is pretty growly and he calmed right down with the vet tech. We have not done the procedure yet but I have no doubt that will also be a positive experience. Also, the reason we have not done the procedure is because they did not pressure me to it, they actually advised waiting to see what happens, which I know is not money in their pocket so I appreciate that I did not have to fight for that option.

My dog had somehow broke her dew claw nail, exposing the soft tissue underneath—clearly very painful for her (it’s like if one of us humans ripped off a nail, and the nail bed were exposed). We had been seen only once at this clinic before, and the doc decided to squeeze us in same-day, within a couple hours of this accident!Unheard of with any other vet clinic I’ve experienced with other pets! They got her mended and didn’t do extra unnecessary services, like I’ve had happen at other vets. They even exchanged the cone given last time for an updated one for free! She will be back to her joyful, exuberant self in no time, in spite of having to wear the cone of shame for a few days.

From Wags To Whiskers-Best Pet Sitter/Dog Walker in Abq
214 Edith Blvd SE, AlbuquerqueTo be clear, due to my cat having a medical emergency we did not end up hiring them in the end, but in speaking to the owner I was very excited to see how knowledgeable and passionate she is about the care of cats. My cat has a urinary condition that requires quick action should he have an episode, and where other less-professional sitters would blindly agree to watch, she made sure to understand every detail of his condition and prepare me should a flareup occur while I was out of town. She was very cautious in warning me of the risk, alerting me that her visits would not necessarily be adequate confirmation of his health, and was very thorough in explaining details of medications and making suggestions even after I ended up canceling.I cannot speak to the quality of the service itself, but I would certainly come here before a petsitting board.

Matt, Josh, Steve and everyone else that works there I've met are all very friendly and kind people. They have a humble and service oriented attitude shown through how they carry themselves and their actions. I believe they have been able to create a great community space centered around coffee where everyone feels welcome. Coffee is among the best in the city. Bombs Away Beer Company
9801 Acoma Rd SE, AlbuquerqueThere are a lot of craft breweries in Albuquerque, enough to call this the Asheville of the west. And of these, there are some amazing exemplars of how beer should be brewed. But it is a select few that I consider my go-to breweries, places I return to over and over because their beer is so good, their atmosphere and vibe so attractive, their mission so compelling.Bombs Away Beer Company is one of those select few. Located on the City’s east side and a couple of blocks off Route 66, it is veteran-owned, which automatically earns my high respect. The name and theme are derivative of that fact, and played well.My most recent visit was for a breweriana swap meet one Saturday, which was held outdoors in the beer garden. Naturally, we all had to come inside to grab a few. My two pints were the BABC IPA (6.1% ABV; 91 IBU) and Operation Single Hop Pale Ale (5.3% ABV; 55 IBU). Both were very approachable, even the BABC with its high IBU.There’s no reason for that twisted beer face you sometimes give when the hops are overpowering. These were both pleasing the palate, and easy to drink. The mid-range ABV is also laudable, because too many IPAs seem to be duking it out for which one can get people tipsy the fasted. On other visits I have had their Actuator IPA (6.4% ABV; 100 IBU), Hazy Chain DIPA (8% ABV; 76 IBU), MK2 Pale Ale (5.9% ABV; 55 IBU), and Anniversary IPA (7% ABV; 87 IBU). I can vouch for each of these as well. And for fans keeping score at home, that’s four IPAs and two Pale Ales, which should pigeon-hole me on the beer fan scale.Given the theme, Bombs Away attracts veterans and a primarily blue-collar clientele, not the hipsters and YUPPIES you would find at other craft breweries. Each has their place, but I am a fan of all breweries, comfortable in any environment as long as the beer is good. And it is damn good at Bombs Away. I salute you.
