“A hidden gem in the heart of Mineola! Seriously if y’all need anything TCG or cards related please head to Major. They are professional, kind, & honest; stuff you don’t see no more nowadays. Thanks for taking care of us as you do and looking forward to my many next visits back!!”
“By far the best hobby shop around NYC, has been for ages, not many left. Amazing selection of rc cars, planes, boats, model trains and loads of diecast cars of all makes, models and sizes.
Worth the trip, staff are also super friendly and helpful.”
“Eric Cincotta of American coin and stamp of Merrick, NY is an expert in his field. I have great appreciation for Eric Cincotta’s patience and expertise. I highly recommend American coin and stamp.”
“Jeff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Spent hours with me going over the coins I brought in. Explaining why certain ones were priced the way they were. He gave me a great, fair price.”
“I was over by Blick and had to stop in because you can always find something useful. This time was no exception (one can always use a few more different colored pencils, right?). The store is always well stocked with great quality items, it's clean and the staff is always helpful. Thank you again”
“Def gonna come back again, they have a wide variety of books and it’s all organized unlike most comic book stores I’ve been too. Also looks really nice inside”
“This is my favorite comic store. Peter, the owner is incredibly knowledgeable and ready to recommend new reads as well as classic comics of all genres.
If you’re looking to start a weekly subscription, or add that special book you’ve always wanted, Phoenix Comics should be your first stop!
Thank you for a continually wonderful experience, Peter!”
“Paul is the man!!! Full of knowledge on all sports, and every item he has in the store. Have been a frequent customer for a few months now, and refuse to go anywhere else for memorabilia. Very wide selection of sports cards. Will be returning ASAP!”
“I’m the kind of person to read reviews, and this was my first visit to Eastern Numismatists. I felt comfortable and right at home. My dad left me coins I knew nothing about, the value, the age, the significance or history. Joe sat down with me in a comfortable office and gave me a history lesson…a timeline of sorts, which related to world events as it related to the production of coins, the silver and gold content, the weight, and the age, and I witnessed an incredible machine which miraculously determined the percentage of metal in each coin. I was learning. I had also had fun. The coin values were explained, the profit margins, melt value, rarity.. and time invested to sell a coin, made me fully appreciate how much this family business meant to Joe. He was honest in his assessment. I’ll be back. with additional jars of coins to go through, but will see them in them in the concept of history.”

“Conveniently located arts & crafts store with decor items as well. In my opinion it’s a little pricey. They offer picture matting and framing services and a large selection of DIY framing products. It’s convenient and well stocked.”

“If you've never visited Markest Stamp Company, then I HIGHLY encourage you to visit and see what they have to offer! Because:
1. Sharon and Mark are the most easy-going and knowledgeable people I've met. Their familiarity with stamps is a cornerstone to me as I embark on the hobby of stamp collecting.
2. Sharon....oh my, where do I begin? Sharon has ALWAYS been very kind and professional with me. I often stumble in my attempt to explain what I'm after as a beginner, but she is a fountain of experience and know-how ... and nonstop patience (thank you, Sharon!).
3. And let's not forget an essential part that's vital to the beginning hobbyist: PRICE. Markest Stamp Company has the very fairest prices in the stamp market.
4. They're simply unmatched! Whether you're a beginner or seasoned collector, I recommend them above all others!
God bless ~
Mark”

“Amazing place. I go there to buy pokemon and the people who work and hang out there are nice and fun to be around. It's my favorite store in Lynbrook for sure.”
“Certain of the items seemed understocked, but that could be due to the Christmas holiday. Overall, it was a nice shopping experience. I went late Christmas eve so no crowds. And, I was able to get what I was looking for.”
“My fiancé and I recently stopped by this card shop while visiting Long Island, and I can honestly say it completely exceeded our expectations. I’ve recently gotten back into collecting Pokémon cards, and it’s become harder and harder to find truly good card shops — this place is exactly what I’ve been looking for.
The shop itself is incredibly well organized, with a wide variety of cards ranging from Pokémon to other anime and sports cards. The atmosphere immediately stood out — welcoming, relaxed, and genuinely enjoyable. The staff made us feel comfortable right away and gave us plenty of space to browse at our own pace with absolutely no pressure to buy anything.
One thing that really impressed us was that they even offered us the option to sit in a separate room with couches, tables, and big-screen TVs playing sports while we looked through single cards. That kind of thoughtfulness and customer experience is rare and truly appreciated. The staff was also extremely knowledgeable and even offers grading services, which is a huge plus.
I especially want to give a big shoutout to Derek (hope I’m spelling his name correctly!) for his outstanding customer service. He was friendly, patient, and genuinely passionate about the hobby, which made the experience even better.
Overall, this shop has an amazing vibe, top-tier customer service, and a great selection. Whether you’re a serious collector or just browsing, this is a must-visit spot. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone in the area.”
