βMy husband and I purchased a shower door several years ago and it still looks brand new. I love having a glassed-in shower, it creates a beautiful space. The employees are so helpful and knowledgeable. Iβm always met with a smile. Going to a family owned Buisness is on a whole different level, the attention to detail and care they take in the customer just doesnβt compare to Loweβs or Home Depot.β
βThese guys are great. Always have the tools I need and if there is the slight chance they don’t have it, they order and ship to the store or direct me to where I can get it. Outstanding customer service and the personal feel of a mom and pop family store operating under a name brand (Ace) platform. I strongly recommend!β
βI am a single older woman and like to do things myself. Every time I go to this Ace in Island Park there is always someone to help. When an associate asks if I need help they go out of their way to make you feel good and get what you need. If they canβt help you they find someone who can. βI went in on Thursday 9/11/25 . would like to thank the young gentleman that helped me remake an A/C hose for my 1984 318 i BMW . I have to apologize. I asked him his name at least 3 times . Canβt remember his name . He professionally and courteously helped me rebuild a 40 yr old plus a/c hose . The challenge wasnβt the rebuild . The challenge was your staff member trying to decipher my lack of knowledge. He spent an inordinate amount of time with me to figure out what I needed and manufactured a custom hose for my 1984 318i BMW . Great job ! Great professional courteous service. Also , they made it for me while I waited !!β
βRain dew is a great local store that remind you of the old-time Woolworths. They seem to have a little bit of everything you can get candy, hardware, yarn, toys.. they have it all. Prices are great for a small local store. They even have a pharmacy. Itβs great to shop local and support business in the area.β
βVery large local hardware store. Big parking lot. Store is fairly well merchandised but due to its size it seems kind of empty when you walk through it. One cashier, which was sufficient. A few employees on the floor to help find items. Large displays and case-cuts throughout. Very clean, well lighted space.β
βI'm all over the place when I shop no matter what Harbor Freight I go into the people are very good they're very helpful very thoughtful good people from Suffolk,Nassau,to the city.

βWent in to get to get a toilet but hubby hadn't used is card for over a year so it was expired. Self check out only but Susan was so helpful she walked us through step-by-step through the sign in online process. She was very patient for my hubby had a older model phone. I have an iPhone 13. Should have done it with my iPhone to start with. Lol. Karla was also near by but Even though she was making sure and helping other customers with try check out she also was very pleasant. Will def go back again and again and again. Customer service was an A+.β
βWe went here looking for a set of three bypass doors and track hardware and were extremely pleased with the level of service and the selection of products they have. From the young woman at the entrance desk to the service desk staff, everybody was helpful to us. Billy A. is a terrific asset for the inside sales team. We were treated with kindness, respect and dignity, something you don't usually get anymore. Highly recommend Centre Millwork for your project supplies.β

βThe five stars is actually going out to a worker, I think he said his name is Isaiah. Very tall slim guy. He brought the giant garbage can I bought out to my car in the freezing cold today and stayed out there for 10 minutes while trying to get it to fit in my car. I would have been completely stuck without him! Thanks, dude! You deserve the accolades!***It's now April of 2024 and I find myself leaving another rave review for this Ace Hardware. This time it's because I bought something online that the house REALLY needed, but couldn't leave my house because my mother is bed ridden, not well, and for over a week I couldn't find someone appropriate to safely watch her so I could go pick it up. When Ace called me because they wanted to remind me that I had a product waiting, I explained my situation and asked if they could please just hold it a little longer. The next day, my doorbell rang and an Ace employee had their hand outreached to me with the product and a smile. I was and am floored. This is the old timey kind of customer service from my youth and not usually seen anymore. Thank you to whichever employees were involved in that whole resolution. :)β
βI have been going to Millers for 37+ years. Obviously, that alone, says something. Stuart & his son Michael, and the rest of the long time staff, are all wonderful. Pretty much whatever you need is there. Old time " service with a smile" AND they actually appreciate your business, unlike the big box stores. If you haven't discovered Millers it's time you did & if you know about them,,,support them with your business. You will not be sorry!! A great local merchant.β

βWhat a wonderful place. I called to see if they carried brown mulch, spoke to Mark and said they had plenty..I needed 18 bags. When I finally got there, Mark was so very polite and courteous and took care of me right away. Drove to the back of the store, and this young woman, Katelyn was all set to load the car . All 18 bags..I felt so bad that a young woman had to do this..Let me tell you what an amazing, awsome young woman she is..She picked up each bag, put it in the car, made sure there was room for all of them. She worked so fast and was so sweet about it..not a complaint out of her. Katelyn is a true asset to Ace and I truly hope she is acknowledged for being such an amazing employee there..Very satisfied customer here..Thank you Katelyn and Markβ
βI wish I remembered the guys name,but got me the right valve stem for a diverter they don't make anymore. Took his time and found the right one, perfect since I live far and didn't want to have to go back. They are also very patient with the customers that don't have plumbing experience.β

βBruce (owner) always goes above and beyond to help a customer. He has been in Queens Village for over four decades.Yesterday out of curiosity, I went to a distributor in Maspeth to get price on 4 ea. of a hex head cap screw and a flange nut. Come to find out the distributor sells by the pack. Screws were $23 / pack of 50 ea. Nuts were $20 / pack of 100 ea. Bruce sold me the four I needed for $2.It never fails to support small businesses in the neighborhood. I am and will always be a customer for life.Thank you!β
βI had an outstanding experience in this store. I brought my daughter there to purchase supplies for a science project she was building. The owner overheard us talking, and helped my daughter find all of the materials she needed. He went above and beyond to help us, and even cut custom wood pieces to make her project work. He didn’t charge us for his work, and gave us the lumbar for free. If you live locally, or are passing through the area, I highly recommend supporting this wonderful small business. They have earned my family’s business forever, and my daughter will always remember this man’s kindness.β
