“Of the 3 hotels that I stayed at recently, this was my favorite. The locàation of the hotel is ideal for visiting my mom in Ozanam Nursing Home of Queens; the Q12 bus stop (Northern Blvd at 220 Pl) is right outside the hotel lobby doors. Bus fare is only $2.90 and the stop near nursing home is only 9 minutes away down Northern Blvd.; I get off bus at 202 St and walk 2 very short blocks to Ozanam. (Tip: Downloading MTA app is helpful). Right across street from front of hotel is a Wendy's and there is a Burger King, Popeye's and Dunkin' Donuts less than a block away. Location of hotel is safe and they have free parking. The great complimentary breakfast includes big fresh waffles (waffle maker) that come with choices of syrup and compote, plain scrabbled eggs, scrabbled eggs w/ veggies and cheese, and breakfast meat varies by day (bacon, turkey hash, breakfast sausage patties...). There are small breakfast pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt (including Chobani), cereal, breads, juices and coffee. In the lobby there is an awesome coffee machine that will make an espresso, vanilla latte and several other choices at the touch of a button. When we arrived, we were handed a bag that containeda 2 snack bags of assorted chips, a snack bar, bottled water and a voucher for a glass full of wine which was delicious. Staff was friendly and professional and I felt at home. There is a restaurant off the lobby where I enjoyed chicken parmigiana. My room window faced out the back of hotel (odd numbered units) and I enjoyed the view which included nice homes and a part of the bay beyond. The room contained 2 chairs which makes good sense if there are 2 occupants; other hotel units elsewhere often only have 1 chair. The sheets and bathroom were clean which is the MOST important! The room includes both a small fridge, a microwave and a pod-style coffee maker. I like that sink is outside the bathroom. There is a park about 5 blocks away called Oakland Park that had a pond with a walking path around it. The pond has two swans that are nesting, turtles (basking together in the sun) and ducks. Although the age of hotel may be the complaint of some reviewers, it did not deter from us returning to stay an additional 2 times. As a reward member (free) you can get a lower rate by prepaying and selecting a non-refundable advanced rate.
Thank you to all staff!”

“Fantastic gem of a beautiful boutique hotel! It is absolutely wonderful. Cindee and Steve are fantastic hosts - they have thought of everything! The views are phenomenal, and the spaces are beautifully decorated - the breakfast & snacks and welcome lounge space are a delightful add. I highly recommend The Fathoms Hotel.”

“Had some trouble booking online given cost and lmitations for needing one night with family of 4 (i.e. occupancy requirements per NY law)

Gat a chance to see the place in person while visiting family here at the beach. Beautiful location, great ambiance and looks like impressive food / service.

Hopefully will get a chance to stay in the near future perhaps when booking and schedule will allow it. Would recommend a visit to the grounds at the very least.”

“We have stayed here numerous times when visiting family. Prices have gone up but the suites are just perfect for our stays. The free Buffett has gotten so much better, better quality food, better display of the food, all due to Donisha Jordan. She is organized, professional yet very personable. So nice to have met and talk to here. We also would like to shout out the young lady who made our reservation ( sorry cannot remember her name). She worked with us to secure a room in a timely manner. Marisol Umanzor was also wonderful at the front desk. We would have given this hotel 5 stars but they no longer serve bar bites which is really needed, especially if you are drinking at the bar. Overall excellent stay and excellent staff. We miss Zoe Parker the former manager there.Rooms: SpaciousNearby activities: Neighborhood not that great! Potholes everywhere leading to hotel.Food & drinks: Bar service good but bar bites needed..BRING THIS BACK!Noteworthy details: Staff is wonderful!”

“My wife priscille and I had a 10 hour flight ✈️ to newyork and when we arrived Eric and Vicky from the front desk were absolute super stars.

They were extremely professional, respectful, and very helpful. They both went above and beyond.

My wife and I are greatful.

Thank you for everything.

Kris and Priscille.

Rooms: The beds were incredibly comfortable and gave us a marvelous sleep.

The room was clean and as former house person I know how hard the HK and HP team works in a hotel.

Never forget to give these people a massive thank you.

Food and drinks: The food was delicious and the mac cheese burger was epic.”

“It was one of the hotels offered to me through the Agoda application after a hotel 5 minutes away from Manhattan, New York was canceled. I chose it because it was close to the metro. The area is full of Korean, Chinese, Taiwanese and Thai style restaurants. It's totally a Chinatown. There is Mays's and a shopping mall nearby. It is very easy to reach Mangattan from the center with a metro ride of about 40 minutes. The same thing comes out for breakfast every day. We found something to fill our stomachs. Our room was cleaned every day. There is no problem other than being far from Manhattan

Nearby activities: In a neighborhood where Far Eastern cuisine dominates”

“Nice rooms in a great location close to downtown Flushing and a lot of great food places. Friendly, responsive staff. Rooms were clean and roomy. Nice large lobby for breakfast but also resting after a long day out. Convenient Airport Shuttle to LaGuardia. Ice on every other floor and a nice hot water machine in the lobby for Tea.

The complimentary breakfast is fantastic - they had typical American breakfast (eggs bacon French toast) but also congee. All of the food was cooked well and the fruit was fresh.

Gym has everything you need to get a quick workout in. Surprisingly had a Peleton which wasnt connected to the Internet but still usable. Even had fresh towels, a water machine, and a scale.

I had an issue with the HVAC in our room that kept us up the first night and left us with 4 hours of sleep. (This review is my post nap update). The night staff was responsive but there was a minor mixup with me being asked to move all of my belongings in the middle of the night. I was eventually able to switch rooms in the morning and their management did also reach out separately to apologize afterwards, which was nice and appreciated.

Regardless, this is a great option for a short or longer stay. Excellent value for the price, quality, and the area.”

“My family and I had a wonderful stay at Ramada by Wyndham Flushing Queens in July. The General Manager, Mr. JK, and his team members, Michelle and Mira, provided exceptional service that made our visit truly memorable. We stayed in a room on the 6th floor with a stunning view of the NYC skyline—absolutely breathtaking!

The hotel's location was perfect for us, with nearby halal food options, the Skyview Mall, various shops (mostly Chinese products), and easy access to the subway. The cleanliness of the hotel was top-notch, and the breakfast provided each morning was delicious and a great start to our day. The housekeeping and kitchen staff performed their duties professionally.

Overall, our experience was fantastic, and we would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting New York.”

“A good hotel. Unfortunately a bit noisy environment. New York (Queens) never sleeps. Public transport is not far away. The rooms are quite large by New York standards. There is a great, rich breakfast offer.”

“The stay was great, the rooms are toooo overpriced for the size but the amenities the hotel have and location is very good and made sense. Went to the restaurant and Candace was a WONDERFUL server. Ended up having her for dinner then breakfast and her service never wavered. My sister and I went out the night before to somewhere near by and the hotel had a 24 hr food area! Was great for late night snacks before bed and the guy that helped us then was just as great. I wish I saved the photos I took of the food. Overall it’s a very expensive stay and if I had the money I’d stay there multiple times a year other than that great experience.”

“Clean and organized hotel. The rooms and shared places were all very nice. Even though it’s expensive there is NOT complimentary WiFi. You either have to become a member or pay a fee.”

“We stayed at this hotel for my son's wedding weekend - had 35 rooms of friends and family. The Roslyn assisted with a dinner, for 70 people, the night before the wedding and did a phenomenal job. They also assisted with a breakfast, the day after the wedding, for 80 people, also did a phenomenal job. Food was excellent for both events and service was exceptional. They couldn't do enough for us and everything ran smoothly. We highly recommend this hotel and their staff.”

“Stayed during Spring Break with the family. We had a horrible experience at a hotel in Midtown Manhattan and I’m very grateful to have stayed here for the duration of our trip. The front desk & management were fantastic. They helped us with an array of needs from holding our bags until check in time, transportation & food suggestions, to arranging for a shuttle to the LIRR station (our situation was complex so I can’t be sure it’ll happen for you). Our room was clean and had plenty of the amenities expected at these hotels. Rooms were on the thinner side but we honestly didn’t care as we were beat from our daytimes and eventually slept like babies.A very important note: This location is half a block away from a discount store & grocery store/market with surprisingly nice selection of things you’d need during longer stays. Nice to save some $$. Great food within a reasonable distance as well. The continental breakfast is what you would expect but on the higher spectrum because the staff kept everything fully stocked and the coffee had a nice kick!!I’m staying here the next time I visit NYC and not looking to spend on fancy hotels.Noteworthy details: Public transportation worked like a charm to and from Manhattan and the rest of the tourist attractions. The bus line across the street and the connecting train lines were on time 95% of the time.”

“The service, from the shuttle driver to front desk to F&B to housekeeping/maintenance was phenomenal. The lobby was grand and welcoming but not intimidating. The rooms were clean and spacious for a New York hotel. I won’t be staying anywhere else on future trips to the city.”

“Had a nice stay at Marco hotel, nice breakfast at the Italian restaurant and wonderful tequila sunrise drinks. The staff was phenomenal, would most definitely stay at this hotel the next time I come to New York.

Rooms: Spacious, and very clean

Safety: The police station is across the street

Walkability: Walked pretty much to experience other places to eat.

Food and drinks: Love the Italian restaurant, have excellent tequila sunrises and omelettes.”

“The Rockville Centre Hotel is wonderful!Great staff, conveniently located to transportation into NYC, and close to a variety of shops and restaurants. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Rooms: Every room has a microwave and refrigerator.”

“Overall, it's a good hotel, but it's a bit disappointing that it takes a bit of time to get out of Manhattan. For your information, the quesadillas sold at the restaurant in the lobby are really delicious.”

“I never write reviews but was compelled to do so after Kevin, our Airport shuttle driver, saved our day by taking the time, unprompted to wait for us as we struggled to get our two small children out of the hotel. We thought for sure that we had missed the shuttle and were preparing to order an uber when the front desk called to follow up. Kevin then came up with a trolley and helped us get to the airport on time and was super pleasant about it.The rooms were clean and comfortable and very appropriate for the price.”

“Sometimes, you might have a little problem with something missing in the room, like the tv remote. That happened the last time we went there.

Rooms: You are able to watch movies in the rooms. There's also a microwave in the lobby to heat your food. They have snack and drink machine's in the lobby, but ice machine's on each floor.”

“This place was both less and more. Less in the fact that you'd call down to the desk and they say they didn't get a call. As a result, I had to lie there with a beeping fire alarm all night and still get up and go to work the next day. Less in that you'd go in to the desk at say, 230am because you have a long drive ahead of you and no amount of hellos or knocking can wake whoever is taking a nap in the office. I had to ask the security guard to get the night person.

It was More in the fact that the staff even tho they didn't have much English, were very nice and helpful ppl. When I returned from work the day after the beeping fire alarm, I saw one of the you ladies and explained to her what I need and within 5 mins, a man was there to fix it for me. I had stopped by the reception desk and told the guy who was working there but when I opened the door after work, the beeping greeted me which means he forgot to do his job and have it fixed when I was gone all day.
It was More in the sense that when I had an issue with the washing machine the same young man rushed to my assistance and took it apart and got it fixed for me so I could wash my clothing. Real nice staff, those people.

Food & drinks: About 40 restaurants within walking distance of the hotel I was told when I enquired.”

“I'm a New Yorker born and bred, so when I tell you New York has changed boy I'm not kidding! This is the first time I had to pay to stay at a hotel. Surprisingly with the city bring over crowded we had a difficult time locating a room ourselves. So we got a booking agent. She got a nice room at Best Western on Van Wyck. Room was clean and nice. Especially the bathroom. The receptionist was knowledgeable and pleasant. My only negative experience was the breakfast. It was unappealing and their wasn't good choices. Being this hotel is consider to be choice. I expect more. There was cereal, yogurt. Just Blah! Best Western needs to do a better job.”

“A lot more pleasant staff than you would expect in a JFK airport hotel. Rooms are up to standard, the restaurant was pretty good with one friendly and extremely overworked guy (and maybe someone in the back, but for all I know he cooked the meals too), and the neighborhood is actually pretty nice to walk around. Parking is $40 a day but that's NYC for you.”
