“I was prepared to hate this place when they took over my First Niagara branch. I was upset about First Niagara being sold and then I was surprised to learn that not all the branches would become Key Bank. I had never heard of this regional bank from northwest Pennsylvania. I marched in shortly after they opened planning to take all my money out and put it with a local bank like Evans or a credit union. I was greeted my friendly and knowledgeable employees, many who seemed familiar from the First Niagara days. I asked them why new customers were getting $200 for new accounts and I got nothing for the switch over in which I had no choice. They explained I had been grandfathered in to an excellent checking account with perks NWSB does not otherwise offer which includes free unlimited ATM withdrawals from an US ATM. I use online banking and the app quite frequently, but every once in awhile you need to pop into an actual branch. I'm lucky this is my local branch and glad that a bank would stay invested in this transitioning neighborhood where not too long ago, thus census tract had a median household income of about $27,000. A bank I can walk to where everyone is friendly and happy to see you. The security guard might actually be the nicest person in there, and he's certainly got stiff competition. What more could I want?”

“This has been my bank of choice for about 10 years now. Some of the tellers know me by name, it feels really good to walk into a bank and have a sincere conversation with tellers who know and remember you. Michelle is the best employee and it makes my day to see her. I feel safe keeping my money with them, that they won't nickle and dime me, I have never had to argue with a service rep about an overdraft fee. They have even moved money from my savings to my checking when I was about to overdraft to cover my butt. I am writing this review because they just called me to tell me that they found someone attempting fraud on one of my accounts. That is how much attention they pay to protecting their customers. As long as i live in buffalo, i will bank with BSCU.”

“The WNYFCU is an excellent and friendly place to do business. Everyone knows me there and its always an excellent transaction. I have several accounts at this location and have never had any problems. And the fraud protection unit really works to keep your debit cards safe. It has worked for me in the past. “This place is a hidden gem. I was looking for a local bank to open an account with and noticed that Lake Shore had one of the best CD rates around. I then did some research and saw they were rated highly as far as their bank health (B+).... so I decided to give them a shot. What a great decision this was. I am in my 60's and this was the best banking experience I have ever had. I was politely greeted by the tellers who then routed me to the branch manager (Anthony Verhagen). Anthony was simply fabulous to deal with. He was very organized, knowledgeable, and personable. Really good people skills and to me seems like a really good and honest person. It was a breeze opening my account. I even found the paperwork I was given was clear and straightforward. If you are looking for a place for your banking needs, do yourself a favor and consider this bank/branch.”
“I've been with this branch since it was HSBC, before it moved locations. They always have a great, helpful, friendly staff. I'm on a first name basis with most of them now. The staff is great and there's not much turnover that I can see, so you get a great customer service experience pretty consistently here.”

“Normally I dread going into this bank branch but today I can say for the first time I left feeling good. The 5 star rating is strictly for Jada the teller who was hands down the best teller I’ve ever dealt with in this branch! Every other teller treats me like I’m a waist of their time or an inconvenience, never greeted and no small talk just stone cold typing that seems like attitude. It’s a miserable environment but Jada was happy and polite, she made small talk, she smiled, she told me to have a great day, all around wonderful human who made me feel like I was a person not a transaction! The rest of the tellers could take notes from her instead of being so cold, manager included! If I see her working from now on I won’t have the dread of walking in!”

“I have done 99% of my banking at this specific French/Transit Rds. Depew branch since it first opened years ago. I cannot think of a single time that I was ever upset or unhappy with the service I received. Every employee was helpful in every transaction or personal business dealing we brought. If someone was unsure about a process to complete our transaction, they asked an M&T team member for assistance to get the job done. Great customer service!”
