“Lands end is a classic Motel. The location on the water is fantastic and my room was modern and clean. Enjoyed several self catered meals at the outdoor seating area in the hedged yard in front of the rooms. Staff was helpful and informative. Neighborhood is very walkable and a mix of active commercial waterfront, residential homes and a county park. Will stay there again!”

“Stayed overnight while I had some construction going on at my house since I’m local and only live about 5 minutes away. From the start, Alexis at the front desk was incredibly helpful and so kind. She provided great customer service and is definitely an asset to the hotel. Ryan from the morning crew was also great and very helpful. The breakfast made the stay even better. There were tons of choices, including eggs, waffles, fresh pancakes, yogurts, cereals, and plenty more. The coffee was great too! The room was very clean, and the bedding was comfortable. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely stay here again in the future if I ever needed to.”

“I booked this hotel very last minute for a getaway with my two boys and it was absolutely spectacular. We had never been to Fire Island before, and the staff at The Palms ensured we had the most wonderful stay. They had warm chocolate chip cookies upon arrival, which made us feel so welcomed. Our room was the perfect location with a playground across the way with beautiful views. To boot, the hotel provides bikes and has a private beach on the bay with toys and kayaks. We will most definitely be back!! Huge thanks to the everyone at the hotel for making our little getaway super special. Photo taken outside our room of a deer just walking down the strip like no big deal!”

“What a great stay. I felt like i was in Europe. Great staff. Clean rooms. Beautifully decorated. Unfortunately the weather didnt help but def relaxed a lot in bed. Perhaps what I need it. Wish the breakfast was better given the cost of the rooms. Also, wish they would put some money to the play room. Otjer than that def would love to sty here again and perhaps experience more of its action.”

From the moment I arrived, the hospitality was top-notch, but two team members made my visit truly memorable: Justin Sanchez and Ebinoseta. Justin was incredibly professional, welcoming, and attentive. He made sure the check-in process was seamless and went out of his way to answer my questions and ensure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Ebinoseta provided warm, efficient, and thoughtful service that made me feel right at home. It’s rare to find staff who care so genuinely about the guest experience, and both Justin and Ebinoseta truly embody the standard of excellence Marriott is known for. The property itself was spotless, quiet, and well-maintained, with spacious suite accommodations and convenient amenities. Between the clean facilities and the exceptional service, this hotel exceeded my expectations. “My group and I really enjoyed our stay at the condo rentals! We had a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment. There were foldout cots so we could sleep up to 6 people completely fine. The living room space was large and had a huge TV which was perfect for hanging out and watching movies and shows. The kitchen area was great and very convenient to use for prepping food and eating together as a large group. The shower was a little cramped, and it would be helpful if a shelf or something could be added to place shampoo bottles instead of having to put them on the floor while showering. The bathroom floor got rather wet easily and there was only one small floor mat provided. The cots were old and didn’t have good support in the middle of the mattress/collapsed down a lot in the middle when you slept on it. Noise-proofing was solid as we barely heard any sounds from our neighboring units around and from upstairs. The patio was a great amenity! We didn’t use the grills but there were several, we used the picnic benches and chairs to eat outside, and the outdoor spigot was good for rinsing off feet after the beach. Location of the Bay House condo apartments building and the main Blue Waters Hotel were all very convenient. The area felt very safe and night, was well lit, and our unit was behind the gate and at the back of the house so it felt much more secluded and private. The windows all had curtains that could be drawn for privacy, except for the front door window cutout which had no covering. The best part of the stay was the service! Elaine and her team were so helpful and friendly to our group, answering all of our questions about the town and accommodating our requests without fail. Being able to rent bikes for 2 hour blocks and borrowing beach towels, beach chairs, and beach umbrellas were really fantastic services that benefited us greatly. Shoutout to the workers at the Blue Waters Hotel! Lastly, one very important thing to note is to bring the remainder of payment in cash or CERTIFIED check. We messed up on the certified part and only brought a regular check, so we had to use an ATM to withdraw cash to make payment there.”

“Travel for business and stayed 1 night. Parking was a nightmare as the lot was packed and along the entrance curb and even out on street. Staff was very courteous and friendly. Check in was quick and simple. 1 elevator was operating. Room was clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable along with pillows. Bathroom was clean. Microwave and refrigerator in room. Many many stores near by and other things to do. High traffic area. Breakfast was provided.”

“Ben you are the man! It was an absolute pleasure to have met you. The ladies at the desk and the entire staff were awesome. The entire hotel inside and out was clean and well maintained cleaned. The breakfast was great and the ice water by the elevators was always available. Not only will I be back to this Hampton every time I'm in the area but I will try other Hamptons in the hope of the same experience. You all need a raise $$ amazing customer service! “I will say that the location mostly makes up for the deficits regarding the Fire Island Hotel & Bungalows. I should preface this by saying I have only stayed in the bungalows with 2 bed and 1 bath. I have no experience with the hotel rooms. We have mostly positive to say about the two bedroom one bathroom bungalow with large deck and outdoor shower. We loved the outdoor shower/cabana. My Husband wants me to add that the outlets are in serious disrepair causing electrical hazards. The bathroom offers no privacy. It’s dirty at best with a layer of sand covering everything. No housekeeping service FYI- something to consider… The floors are completely worn & look like they have never been waxed or anything like that. There is a layer of sand everywhere. Absolutely zero upkeep… it was seven grand plus for the week - actually one day less than a week. I don’t think there is any housekeeping service. It is basically an Airbnb type of experience… you are completely paying for the location. If you don’t mind - which we didn’t - you will enjoy it here. Upon arrival, we walked in & found the bungalow was stuffy and hot. I found a cockroach. The AC unit in the bedroom spit ice at My Husband when he tried to turn it on. The hotel had stuffed towels under the unit in anticipation of it leaking, I suppose. One night we both were uncomfortable because of the tiny size of the room. There is absolutely nothing on the walls and it can be claustrophobic as a note to those who need a larger space. Thankfully, the main area has vaulted ceiling with a non-operational skylight. The ceiling fan in the main area was covered in dust, which flies around when you turn on the ceiling fan. The pullout couch should not be absolutely not be considered as an option. It is small and old and worn. The temperature was very difficult to control. It was either freezing or hot. I wish they were ceiling fans in the bedrooms but the bedrooms are so small and the ceilings are so low it could not be possible. There is overall very little privacy, so it would only be appropriate for parents traveling with small children, possibly. My Husband and I stayed in one room and I were Daughter and her boyfriend and the other. I really don’t think they renovated much since Hurricane Sandy, but the location cannot be beat. We love Ocean Bay Park and if you also love it, there’s nothing better. We sometimes stay in Ocean Beach at the Palms, which has better amenities and probably more high-end rooms but it’s a busy part of town, which is a blessing and Curse. Personally, I like the piece, but My Husband prefers the poems since not only do you have use of the hotel you are staying in, but you can also use their location on the bay which has kayaks and stand-up paddles. It’s a further walk to the beach from Palms. I love the location of the bungalow at the fire Island Beach House. I would recommend this location if you prefer the pristine nature and wildlife and neighborhood of Ocean Bay Park. This is a very laid-back spot and the staff is friendly They also will hold your luggage so you can enjoy fire Island after you check out. They even take your luggage from the ferry to the hotel and from the hotel to the ferry when you leave. The service was not offered at the Palms.”

The ladies who worked the breakfast were nice, smiling and personable. We encountered the ladies with housekeeping and they always looked up smiled and said hello. The room was nice and as pictures indicated. This property overall was nice, clean with a very engaging team. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable!”

“Very basic but you get what you pay for. It definitely is better than the reviews. I was worried based on the reviews staying for two nights being a solo female traveler but it wasn’t as bad as the reviews say. It’s definitely very basic and your typical drive up motel but it got the job done. I had a king, non-smoking room but still had a faint smell of smoke. The bed was decent and the pillows were extremely comfortable. Room was very small but fine as I was solo. Bathroom was barely elbow width apart but was clean. Honestly, can’t complain based on the price. Also, was very well lit outside. I was worried about it being too dark at night getting back late but was very well lit.”

“I have to give it to Taylor! She has been incredible throughout this entire journey. We have quite a large wedding with quite a few parts especially with the hotel and she is on top of it all. She is super responsive via email and unbelievably helpful. I can't thank her enough for all she's done thus far and continues to do. She has made the incredibly stressful process of having a wedding a little less stressful. I would recommend any brides to work with her! I can't say how it all goes as my wedding hasn't happened yet. But I appreciate her to no end. Just to add to what an ama,ing experience the hilton was. The front deak was polite and super helpful, Jack was the MVP of the day getting our bridal party whatever they needed. He was the best. Rooms were clean. Thank you to everyone at the Hilton for helping make my weekend so special”

“I was respectfully greeded when I approached to reserve a room. The environment was very calm and clean. The plants that surrounded me as I was conversating with the employee to reserve my room....... were all wonderfully "real" and watered to a healthy perfection. When I opened the door to my room...... I was once again very pleased...... because everything was to the standards and clean. The carpet was vacuumed and clean and the bed was neatly prepped with clean covers (also checked the sheets because why not) and...... once again pleasingly clean with a pleasant fragrance of cleanliness. Thank you. For a truly comfortable, peaceful and affordable stay. I was facing a very challenging presentation the next day and I am actually being honest and thankful for my stay at the MacArthur inn...... I am a hard working mother who has three wonderful children and my job unfortunately requires me to travel and sometimes on my own dime and I genuinely always wish there would be a genuine, honest and clean, affordable stay inn's and this was exactly what I imagine. The next day on my presentation I truly aced my goals! All because all the expenses and frustrations were swift away with the honesty of MacArthur inn!Thank you..... sincerely E.S”
