“Everything is perfect and immaculate except that the carpet inside the rooms need shampooing or replacing. I always bring my own antibacterial spray cleaner for All hotel stays because most hotels that have non-carpeting also have dirty floors. You can spray the floors, wet 2 wash cloths then clean the floors, and they're always dirty. Carpets in any hotel are rarely sanitized, so unless you are paying top dollar, I don't believe anything less than a 5-star rating is fair for this location. It's beautiful, and almost everything is immaculate And updated. Pet friendly. No pool though.”

“I go here quite often and the staff is so friendly . It’s the first hotel I’ve stayed at that I see the staff clean most of the day . Not only the rooms but everything . You walk in and it smells clean . They also have a restaurant attached that also has good food . The location is near the expressway for quick access for travel. Close by are eatery’s and stores (groceries as well as clothing stores ) . I can’t wait to stay there again”

“Lands end is a classic Motel. The location on the water is fantastic and my room was modern and clean. Enjoyed several self catered meals at the outdoor seating area in the hedged yard in front of the rooms. Staff was helpful and informative. Neighborhood is very walkable and a mix of active commercial waterfront, residential homes and a county park. Will stay there again!”

“I booked this hotel very last minute for a getaway with my two boys and it was absolutely spectacular. We had never been to Fire Island before, and the staff at The Palms ensured we had the most wonderful stay. They had warm chocolate chip cookies upon arrival, which made us feel so welcomed. Our room was the perfect location with a playground across the way with beautiful views. To boot, the hotel provides bikes and has a private beach on the bay with toys and kayaks. We will most definitely be back!! Huge thanks to the everyone at the hotel for making our little getaway super special. “What a great stay. I felt like i was in Europe. Great staff. Clean rooms. Beautifully decorated. Unfortunately the weather didnt help but def relaxed a lot in bed. Perhaps what I need it.
Wish the breakfast was better given the cost of the rooms. Also, wish they would put some money to the play room. Otjer than that def would love to sty here again and perhaps experience more of its action.”

“Of my last seven or eight hotel stays, which were mainly Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton Inn by Hilton and Hyatt Place this hotel was head and shoulders superior. It’s a very large and spacious property. The service is fantastic. Very friendly staff. They keep the place in impeccable and again I was really pleasantly surprised. I would’ve thought a Holiday Inn would not be as nice as the affirmation chains when in fact it was far nicer. The room’s better the linens better the breakfast better and the staff better trained friendly happy to be there. Happy to help.”

“My group and I really enjoyed our stay at the condo rentals! We had a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment. There were foldout cots so we could sleep up to 6 people completely fine. The living room space was large and had a huge TV which was perfect for hanging out and watching movies and shows. The kitchen area was great and very convenient to use for prepping food and eating together as a large group. The shower was a little cramped, and it would be helpful if a shelf or something could be added to place shampoo bottles instead of having to put them on the floor while showering. The bathroom floor got rather wet easily and there was only one small floor mat provided. The cots were old and didn’t have good support in the middle of the mattress/collapsed down a lot in the middle when you slept on it. Noise-proofing was solid as we barely heard any sounds from our neighboring units around and from upstairs. The patio was a great amenity! We didn’t use the grills but there were several, we used the picnic benches and chairs to eat outside, and the outdoor spigot was good for rinsing off feet after the beach. Location of the Bay House condo apartments building and the main Blue Waters Hotel were all very convenient. The area felt very safe and night, was well lit, and our unit was behind the gate and at the back of the house so it felt much more secluded and private. The windows all had curtains that could be drawn for privacy, except for the front door window cutout which had no covering.

The best part of the stay was the service! Elaine and her team were so helpful and friendly to our group, answering all of our questions about the town and accommodating our requests without fail. Being able to rent bikes for 2 hour blocks and borrowing beach towels, beach chairs, and beach umbrellas were really fantastic services that benefited us greatly. Shoutout to the workers at the Blue Waters Hotel!

Lastly, one very important thing to note is to bring the remainder of payment in cash or CERTIFIED check. We messed up on the certified part and only brought a regular check, so we had to use an ATM to withdraw cash to make payment there.”

“Ben you are the man! It was an absolute pleasure to have met you. The ladies at the desk and the entire staff were awesome. The entire hotel inside and out was clean and well maintained cleaned. The breakfast was great and the ice water by the elevators was always available. Not only will I be back to this Hampton every time I'm in the area but I will try other Hamptons in the hope of the same experience. You all need a raise $$ amazing customer service! It looks like you may be seeing me around from time to time so until then be well my friend.

“This is a very clean and nice hotel. There was a welcome package with goodies and extra gift miles, which was a nice touch. The complementary breakfast is a bonus, but parking price is a bit odd given that there are plenty of free lots nearby. There is not much to do nearby, but it is a convenient stay for a visit to central LI.”

“Travel for business and stayed 1 night. Parking was a nightmare as the lot was packed and along the entrance curb and even out on street. Staff was very courteous and friendly. Check in was quick and simple. 1 elevator was operating. Room was clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable along with pillows. Bathroom was clean. Microwave and refrigerator in room. Many many stores near by and other things to do. High traffic area. Breakfast was provided.”

“FIBH was so convenient staff picks up your baggage from ferry and will hold so you can enjoy amenities pool, beach , bar etc until room is ready and the same the day u check out also !Jeanie , Alexa and Bellmen Jose and Edwin made our trip stress free and felt all the staff went out of their way for us !Rooms and pool were clean and updated see you next summer!”

“I was respectfully greeded when I approached to reserve a room. The environment was very calm and clean. The plants that surrounded me as I was conversating with the employee to reserve my room....... were all wonderfully "real" and watered to a healthy perfection. When I opened the door to my room...... I was once again very pleased...... because everything was to the standards and clean. The carpet was vacuumed and clean and the bed was neatly prepped with clean covers (also checked the sheets because why not) and...... once again pleasingly clean with a pleasant fragrance of cleanliness. Thank you. For a truly comfortable, peaceful and affordable stay. I was facing a very challenging presentation the next day and I am actually being honest and thankful for my stay at the MacArthur inn...... I am a hard working mother who has three wonderful children and my job unfortunately requires me to travel and sometimes on my own dime and I genuinely always wish there would be a genuine, honest and clean, affordable stay inn's and this was exactly what I imagine. The next day on my presentation I truly aced my goals! All because all the expenses and frustrations were swift away with the honesty of MacArthur inn!Thank you..... sincerely E.S”

“Very big, comfortable rooms. The breakfast is excellent. My only real complaint is that it is impossible to take a shower and not get the floor wet which wouldn't be a big deal but the maid never made up our room for the 5 days we were there.”

The rooms were clean and fresh.

The beds were OK, but not the greatest or best I have been on. Well loved is a nice way to say it.

The staff were very friendly.

Our last two days only one of the two elevators were operational.

The paid breakfast is no better than any “free” breakfast anywhere similar.

Three location was perfect for my needs.

Prices are crazy, but understandable for the area.”

“Very basic but you get what you pay for. It definitely is better than the reviews. I was worried based on the reviews staying for two nights being a solo female traveler but it wasn’t as bad as the reviews say. It’s definitely very basic and your typical drive up motel but it got the job done. I had a king, non-smoking room but still had a faint smell of smoke. The bed was decent and the pillows were extremely comfortable. Room was very small but fine as I was solo. Bathroom was barely elbow width apart but was clean. Honestly, can’t complain based on the price. Also, was very well lit outside. I was worried about it being too dark at night getting back late but was very well lit.”

“Went to cash in a lottery ticket and awed with the place. Great security at the door. The people were all professional and courteous. The environment was a bit loud for me.
Parking lot was crazy trying to find a spot. Valet Parking is available for the guests. I don't know if there is a fee. Sometimes there is.”
