Duane Reade is a New York pharmacy with convenient locations for prescriptions, photo services, and day-to-day health, wellness, and beauty needs. The staff are incredible, awesome, top notch, and consistently great. They are pleasant, calm, professional, and show empathy, even when dealing with difficult customer interactions or tough circumstances. Employees are helpful and go out of their way to assist, such as resolving insurance issues, offering clear explanations, and providing suggestions. The photo service is efficient, with passport photos finished quickly, and staff may assist with editing or printing documents. The store is very busy and can feel understaffed, but the experienced pharmacy staff work hard to keep customers satisfied. They handle time-sensitive medications and vaccinations efficiently, allowing customers to be in and out when they show up on time. Despite the pressure and high traffic, the pharmacy provides many years of excellent customer service.
The level of incompetence is extraordinary. Prescriptions take 40+ minutes to fill after you’re told it takes 10-15mn. 90% of the products are behind plexiglass requiring staff to access it. Avoid this store & pharmacy.

My husband had his passport pictures taken here recently. The process was fairly quick (about 10-15 minutes). A staff member took his picture and had it printed. Total cost $20. They are quite understaffed, which is an issue at most of these corporate pharmacies. As such, the lines can be long. Go during off peak hours... read full comment

Absolute trash. Pharmacy says there's a problem with my (urgent) prescription, doesn't say what the problem is but that I have to call the pharmacy, and then no one picks up the phone!!! I was on hold for an hour and gave up. Never again!!!
