I get so happy and slightly envious every time I pick up my prescriptions from them (LOL). The environment is incredibly welcoming and free of shame, and the pharmacy team is always clear and willing to answer any questions! The service you receive here demonstrates the strength that independently owned pharmacies have on their patients and why we should advocate for better insurance reimbursements and choose independent pharmacies over chain pharmacies that jade their staff over time and undermine the trust the general public has in pharmacy staff! Their hours are super great, their staff super friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. They are kind, always willing to lend an ear, help in emergencies or answer any questions you may have. My mom found them and told me when Rite Aid closed and moved her medication to Walgreens. As a senior she could not the long wait lines. She was also delighted to have her old Pharmacist back ! What I ended up finding was a neighborhood Gem @ 95th Street Pharmacy.”

“I am taking the time to write this review even though I am NOT a customer of the store - yet I wanted to find a nearby pharmacy and being right near the train, Modern Chemist was perfect. I even have a semi unusual prescription, Modern Chemist ordered t the day they received it and had it ready and waiting for me , Unfortunately, they were not in Network with my insurance (i have little to no co-pay) and I will have to go back to CVS. I wad even willing to pay the Good RX discount and do a cash purchase to support them, but it still would have been almost double what I have paid in the past But for the 10 minutes I spent in their adorable store, the owner and his assistant could not have been any nicer to me - the owner gave me a full explanation on why they were not in Network, gave me a few local options to have it filled, and also verified the State of NY Pharmacy rules that CVS somehow doesnt follow. I bought my Citibike into the store, and upon leaving, the owner had his assistant open the door for me, since I clearly struggled getting in the door. I love to support small local business, and this is EXACTLY the kind of store we should all be supporting. I will def be returning again as a customer”
