“I have had at checking account here for 13 years or so. I went into this branch to open a savings account on Thursday July 25th around 2:15pm. I’ve heard an appointment is needed to do this and I did not have one scheduled. I went up to the desk and explained I didn’t have an appt and the man behind the desk said I could still be helped.
I was helped by a personal banker named Joel Elsemore. Joel was pleasant and made me feel at ease the entire visit. when I walked into the bank I thought my financial situation & anxieties would make for an uncomfortable experience. Great experience here for me that day.

“I find the staff very helpful whenever I go there. Mostly at the drive thru window but also when I go inside. They could use some more staff and try to make an appointment when you need to speak with a staff person. However, I recently moved almost all of my money market out due to pathetic interest rates. I still use them for my checking and a CD account.”

“In general compared to two other largest banks where we have accounts I've found BOA staff to be more helpful and pleasant, and BOA offers more perks like free cashier checks and notarization to their customers. Specifically about this Clifton Park branch I've invariably had positive experiences during my visits here, but they really exceeded expectations in our visit yesterday in this post Covid-19 era. Both my wife and I wanted our health proxy statements (living wills) witnessed and notarized. Not only did this branch's folks do that graciously and for free, but they even provided their own colleagues as witnesses since these are required to sign at time and place of notarization, This was really helpful as we didn't want to burden any of our friends or neighbors to act as witnesses and have to travel anywhere with us for this task. And yes, they had a touchless sanitizer dispenser at their entrance and 6 feet distancing requirements in their branch as we'd expect in a reputed establishment these days. Thank you, and keep it up!”

“Just stopped in this location for the first time. Reviews were concerning, but I had a smooth experience. Easy parking. Greeted by guy sitting at the round entry way reception. Got in line, withdrew cash. Showed teller my id. She looked up my account using id. I gave clear instruction as to which account to withdraw money from and what denominations I wanted. She did so, repeating back what I asked to ensure it was accurate, it was. Counted the money out by hand, which is a bit surprising, since I normal branch has a machine that doe that...but it was done clearly and accurately. The whole transaction was pleasant and professional. Just thought I add this review so it isn't all doom and gloom. This is a convenient location for me in addition to my normal Latham/Cohoes branch.”

“I have been banking with Trustco for 30+ years and the one on Crescent Rd for about 15. A few years ago I had several issues with the way the staff responded and assisted so I haven’t gone inside for at least 2 years. Yesterday I had a transaction that required me to go in person and I was very pleasantly surprised! The woman that waited on me and my son was wonderful and I could hear the other gentleman teller helping an older woman next to us. He was also very kind and helpful. Way to go Trustco!!”
