“I bought a grill that was on sale. It was a great deal on a really nice grill. The workers measure the opening to my suv and needed to take a side tray off to make it fit. The screws were quite pesky and it was taking some work to loosen things up. I apologized for the extra work they had to do, but everyone responded with " it's not a problem at all" Super Job to all of the staff! Thank you so much. I will be seeing you guys soon.”

“I dont leave reviews, but this place is amazing, first of all, dan, best customer service and mannerism ive ever had the pleasure of experiencing to the point i felt as if i got teleported back into the 80’s in a state with southern hospitality, 2nd, the selection of parts and tools is like a home depot crammed into a small store, they have everything you need, I hope I have a reason to go there again soon just for the refreshing experience of genuine proper human interaction”

“I love hectors, and this year when my snowblower needed service, they came to the rescue once again. Service time was reasonable, just two weeks even though the snow had already started falling. Without getting into the numbers, let’s just say the price was an extreme value for the quality of repair. Much better than big box stores and a tiny fraction of buying a new machine. Got my snowblower running like new, and they even fixed several things that weren’t on the initial service report. As usual, I couldn’t be happier. Support your local hardware store!!!”

“Store is clean, well stocked, shelves are maintained regularly. Shelves are neat, clean, and misplaced products get returned to the correct area. Staff are friendly and courteous. They aren't always helpful unfortunately. Half of the staff I've questioned for help weren't familiar with the product in question and seemed at a loss on what to do next... Call a fellow employee over the radio and no response. Tried to use the scanning device to scan the bar code and it is supposed to give some details on the item.
Device was useless and slow. I ended up going to the website and getting the info myself while the employee was still anxious trying to get the info. 10 minutes with employee and no answers to my questions. The one answer I was given seemed to be wrong. Their info said over 30 items in store and on the shelf. Shelf location was empty and they checked stock in back and there was none. The website confirmed that store had zero on hand.
To be fair the employee did everything he knew to try to answer my question. None of the other employees tried to help him get the info (I was only customer in the store at the time). The hand held device was soooo sloooow to the point it was more aggravating than not having any device. Similar situations have occurred in the past. Essentially not all employees know the products they're selling. Annoying, but unfortunately not entirely unexpected.
Overall I would say my store experiences are mostly good and pleasant. Just don't ask a young employee a question and expect an acceptable answer. If you get one consider it a bonus. Either way you can walk away happy instead of frustrated and aggravated.

“We originally went to Ferguson to order bathroom fixtures in a new build/ renovation project. I have been working with a showroom employee who has been wonderful to this point although she has been out of the office while we are at a crucial time in the building process and need to order additional fixtures as soon as possible or there will be a delay in the project. I called to ask if I could place an order and the receptionist said no, but she could take a message. I asked if there was another employee that could help me place the order and she said “maybe” and would take a message to have someone call me back. I said, call back today? And she said, maybe, I don’t know. I then asked if it would be easier if I ordered the fixtures from the website on my own and she said, “well that’s all we do for you anyway” so now I’m left to figure out what fixtures and installation pieces are needed to place an order by myself without risking a delay in the project… I was left kindof bewildered and confused because what is the point of having a professional company help you if they are unwilling to assist you during a time sensitive customer service need

“I walked into this store numerous times and it’s always the same associate. I believe his name is Charles If I had to be certain. The past few months I’ve noticed it’s just him. Every time I walk in the store the phones are ringing and he’s always usually with at least 2 or 3 customers at a time . He deals with each paying attention to what they need and makes sure they are satisfied. Just goes to say professionalism is not gone in the world. Every time this young man greets me, no matter how busy he is and always goes over and beyond for his customers. Thank you airgas for employing outstanding customer service from this young man.”
