“Schuele Ace Hardware is exactly what a neighborhood hardware store should be. The staff are helpful, knowledgeable, and willing to take the time to point you in the right direction. You can walk in with a project, a problem, or even just a vague idea of what you need, and someone there will help you figure it out.
The store is well stocked, easy to get through, and far more convenient than wandering around a big-box store trying to find someone who knows what they’re talking about. It has that old-school Buffalo neighborhood feel, but with the products and service you actually need.

“I make it a point to shop at Valu for all that they offer and stopped going to the big box stores if Value has it. They are a locally owned family business, that is supportive of the community and they welcome all no matter your political perspective. Weekly sales help round out prices of higher priced items. Purchasing from local owners is great for our community and helps strengthen or community.”

“Staff are polite and eager to help. There have never been more than three customers present regardless of the time or weekday. Store is too large for the amount of merchandise stocked. Items are displayed well and priced correctly. Front entrance could be more aesthetically welcoming. Store feels like stepping back in time instead of keeping up with technology and trends. A good location for grabbing paint, caulk, and small hardware.”

“The best in rental. Edit: To the previous renter with the gas pole pruner, THD does offer many wrenches for any tools that may require adjustment in the field, including the pole pruner. The safety bucket (you declined to take with you) includes a helmet, ear/eye protection, chaps and ADJUSTMENT WRENCH. The tools are quality and safety inspected before EVERY rental and these bolts can easily be adjusted by anyone with a crescent/socket wrench, or even a simple pair of pliers. Chainsaw chains frequently become loose after use so this should not have come as a shock to you. A lack of knowledge and experience on your part apparently equates to a 1 star review for a retailer renting tools as a service for those in need. If you're unsure of what you may need when renting an unfamiliar tool, ask and we'll gladly explain! Maybe just take the safety bucket next time...”

“I walked into this store numerous times and it’s always the same associate. I believe his name is Charles If I had to be certain. The past few months I’ve noticed it’s just him. Every time I walk in the store the phones are ringing and he’s always usually with at least 2 or 3 customers at a time . He deals with each paying attention to what they need and makes sure they are satisfied. Just goes to say professionalism is not gone in the world. Every time this young man greets me, no matter how busy he is and always goes over and beyond for his customers. Thank you airgas for employing outstanding customer service from this young man.”

“From listening to conversations, I can tell you the father and son Team here really cares about helping people out and are extremely knowledgeable just from listening to them. Super friendly highly recommend anybody else as well. I rented a torpedo heater and they even had some good recommendations how to use it. I’m not in the neighborhood often but if you need some help, this is the place to go, they have a good amount of hardware and other things to choose from as well besides just rentals on the shelf, depending on what you need to buy.”
“Upon checkout a man assisted us at the cash or card checkout. The cash change back was 50cent, he seemed growingly aggrivated as he awaited the 2 quarters to dispense. One came out, the other sat inside machine with a clicking sound, I commented hmm sounds like the change back might be jammed, he responded snottily "no it's not", I looked at him like say what when the second quarter popped out, he handed me my change & receipt didn't say thank you and had an angry look on his face. He had a beard, facial hair, light brown. He won't talk like that to me again. I'm a retired RGM who has trained numerous teams not to be like that guy. If he's got a at home personal situation going on he needs to leave it there, period!”

Steph in the appliance department was super friendly and helpful with helping me check inventory, giving me a discount for some confusion with said inventory, and ordering my dishwasher online for delivery. She was very polite and made the process very easy for me”

“I try not to go anywhere else for my building/home improvement supplies if I don't have to. The Manager Mike S. is the absolute best! He always goes above and beyond, answering an infinite amount of questions and advising me on every meticulous detail of all my home improvement needs! If I bring him a concept with no idea of where to even start, he not only compiles the list of supplies for me to complete it with, but also comes up with an efficient step by step process to bring my project ideas to life! (Or he refers me to a reliable source that can do it for me when he knows I'm in way over my head... ? in which case, he will then coordinate with BOTH myself and the contractor I hire thru the entire process, keeping me informed of everything along the way!) And on the rare occasion that any problems arise with any of the products that I purchase from Lenco, he's always got my back and does everything in his power to rectify the situation. I wish he could be my own personal project manager for all my home improvement needs, but sadly he's already taken!! ? Lenco is lucky to have him!”
