There are plenty of people around who are more than happy to help you find something. The employees I've encountered have been very knowledgeable, and if they don't know they find someone who does.They have a rewards program that doesn't require you to carry a card, and they send coupons, and a gift on your birthday.The store has a real small town hardware store feel to it.Highly recommend.”

“My first time in McGowans Hardware was today. Went in to buy Landfill punch cards. Which are $20.00 each. I paid with a $100.00 bill. I wasn't really paying attention. The male employee handed me back $100 bill???? First I thought oh no its a counterfeit there goes my planned day as I ll be at Police filling out reports etc.Nope, the 2 $100.00 bills stuck together unbeknownst to me. He could have kept the extra hundred I never would have known. “The best customer service hands down beats all the other stores.I drive 30 miles to go there versus 3 mi to go to Lowe's. Home Depot has the best selection and the higher quality of items. I also like their website a lot better than many others. They've been out of a long time and I think they've got it perfected. I have been going to the store in Clay, New York for over 20 years. I've been very happy. They solved a lot of problems from me with technical support from the men of the trades that they hire.”

“I can't say enough about the fine folks at Jamesville Hardware! I was doing some work on my 16 year-old self-propelled lawnmower. Because the mower is so old, I was having trouble locating a discontinued part that was needed to fix it. Roger helped me find a replacement part and even helped me disassemble the piece in his shop to allow the part fit on my current mower.Wishing I could give these folks 6 STARS. I will definitely return to Jamesville Hardware very soon! Great place. Better people!”

Take a walk through sometime just to see what they have. Also, in the Sprint they have cages of chicks. Now I know why people buy them. “We love Lowes! In the paint department, my wife and I needed to match some paints to redo our living room at Kim from the Rt. 31 Syracuse store was incredibly helpful. In needing a new fridge also, she pointed us i the right direction and had our paint all mixed and ready for us. You could tell she valued our time by being effcient in her work and direction and she was just a pleasure to work with. In the refridgerator area, Matt was very helpful during the day answering questions and checking stock for us. Refrigerators have sure changed and he got us up to date with what features we could look for in various models, price points, etc. Later that night, Scott was incredibly helpful and patient with us as we made our final decisions and closed the deal. There was some delay with getting the Lowe's charge card (saved 100 dollars right there) . I had to speak to a representative from their credit department on the phone. This could have been a pain but Scott sanitized his phone, let me speak to the person and we were able to complete the transaction with no problem. Scott had a very good sense of humor, ability to juggle several customers without any of them feeling unsupported and very good overall knowledge of the products and the specifications that would be our best bets! Great job, Lowes! Scott, Kim and Matt have served you well this holiday season!!!”

I am not really a Do-It-Myself person so when I find someone to ask what aisle something is in, or ask what they would recommend they are very knowledgeable and helpful. I still do not know how the people who work there know so much about whatever department they work in. But I have no complaints.
