“I spent hours trying to figure out how to cut a piece of metal for my bed frame. I wanted to do it myself through some research on what tools to use, and I tried and failed terribly. I finally walked into Home Depot looking to get some alternative equipment, and I bumped into Robert in the rental side of the store and within five minutes, he had already resolved my issue. I get an anxious asking employees for helping in some stores because they don’t usually look like they want to help anyone but Robert was keen on greeting me and willing to help. Thanks a lot!”

“We came in looking for replacement wheels for a walker. Loni helped us almost immediately. Not only did he help us find the correct size wheels, but he also offered to replace the old ones, which were being held together with duct tape. He even found Elmieda a chair so she could sit comfortably while he worked.
When he realized the new wheels required different bolts and lugs, he tracked those down too and made sure everything fit properly. What could have easily turned into an all-day ordeal for Miss Elmieda ended up being simple and seamless.
I’m grateful our paths crossed today—and that Loni was the right person for the job. Thanks to him, Elmieda now has her wheels back and with them, her freedom.”

This one is custom made & picked it up 2/10/24. My radiator went from picture on the left to picture on the right!! As always, I am thrilled with Air Lite’s radiator covers. Well made!! Joe also informs me on how to keep them looking good (use spray car wax). Excellent family-owned business in Queens with personal service on all their products.”

“S & V Hardware is a great neighborhood store. Mo and all of the other team members are friendly and welcoming, and most importantly, they know how to help you solve whatever hardware-related problem that you arrived with. They have a great inventory with things that may be hard to find, or things that you can kind of describe but you don't know what it's called.
It also has an intangible old-school neighborhood hardware store feel, which for me brings back great memories of going to the hardware store in my small hometown with my Dad when I was young.
Five stars, and well deserved.”

“This place has taken great care of me twice when I needed particular fixtures for the apartment my mother moved into in New York City. They have about a million of these all around the walls of their store, and apparently another million somewhere in the basement!My purchase was quite small (a few towel bars and hooks), but they were very attentive and took good care of what I was looking for and found exactly what I wanted and needed each time.The place is not glitzy, but their stock is very nice, they know what they're doing, and how to ask the right questions to find what you're looking for.It's an old-fashioned, high-quality kind of store, and they will take good care of you and find what you need.”
“Honestly, the tool rental dept made a big mistake that made my very time-sensitive, big project near impossible, but I got ahold of manager Nicole, who was able to coordinate with another store to solve my issue, basically saving my life. Anyone anywhere can mess up, but how you see about fixing it is the real test of service and character. Nicole rocked.”

“Contrary to many opinions here, I've sincerely never had a problem with this location. I am in the middle of a renovation and frequently come here with my general contractor. We're usually prepared with measurements, narrow down our shopping list by looking online at what's in stock, and don't hold up the clerk by asking many questions. The types of services that I use are: 1. installation services (allow yourself some time), 2. general store purchase, 3. store purchase with assistance getting heavy things down from shelves or other types of assistance, 4. home delivery and online purchases, 5. Pro Services (with my contractor). Go in, pick up what you need, pay, then leave. Just like any other store.”
“It is a place where families and merchants buy non-daily necessities. It has major categories, but the smaller categories still need to be improved. The place is very large, so it is difficult to find. Maybe it’s because I don’t go there that often.”
