“This is a wonderful small business with very personable service and I have been going out of my way to support them for over 15 years living uptown here. I just wish they would finish their website so we can order online instead of calling! first because Chewy is probably decimating them and second because it truly would make it easier for me to place weekly orders. (I believe Shopify is not that expensive to set up for a small biz like this.) The ROV would be substantial. They absolutely must come up with a plan to incentivize customers. Some of their prices are comparable to or even slightly better than Chewy but some products are not competitively priced at all (to say the least). They need to do their research on that as well. Anyway, I really want them and other small businesses in the neighborhood to survive and thrive, but it's time for them to make a marketing move and improve our experience.”

“Our dog loves this shop!! Whenever we walk down Ditmars, he wants to go inside. Sometimes we walk down Ditmars past the Regal Beagle's closing time, and he sits outside of the shop patiently waiting to go inside because he doesn't want to believe it's closed. The owners are lovely, kind, and welcoming. If we have a question or concern, they are always happy to help! They have two cats who roam around the store and budgies in their cages so it gives it a homey feeling. They have pictures of dogs from the neighborhood on their walls.
Besides the toys, treats, and accessories they sell, they have a backyard for our furry friends to play. In the backyard is a hose, dog toys, and a bathtub for the dogs to play. They also have chairs for the humans to relax.
I highly recommend the Regal Beagle if you are a pet owner! Thank you Regal Beagle for putting a smile on our dog's face!! :)”
“We love Pet Club! It's conveniently located on Steinway within walking distance from our apartment, and they have everything we need for our new puppy. I appreciate all the high-quality and healthy items they keep in stock here. We haven't had a dog in years, and I had all the questions... I've been in the store multiple times over the last 1.5 weeks. The staff members here are always super helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Today, they helped me find these no-rawhide chews for our pup. He absolutely loves them, and it's saving our toes, pant legs, shoes... Also a plus, they have a point system with Square so you can earn rewards over time ^_^”

“The BEST pet store in LIC/BK. Prices are super competitive (the same as ama, chewys, etc) so PLEASE shop here if you’re local instead of the big corps. They have a huge variety of food, toys, treats, etc. if they sell the brand but don’t have th specific item you’re looking for ask the owner and he’ll order it in for you. Really great guys. Support local!”
“I recently got a special pupcake for my dog, Pi, from Axel & Tia's Pet Bakery in NYC, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! From the moment I walked in, the staff was so friendly and knowledgeable, helping me choose the perfect treat for my pup. The cupcake itself was beautifully made, smelled amazing, and—judging by how quickly Pi devoured it—absolutely delicious!
I love that Axel & Tia's uses high-quality, dog-safe ingredients, so I know I'm giving my furry friend something both tasty and healthy. The presentation was adorable, making it feel extra special. “Came here for the first time to get my cat groomed, and Beverly did an amazing job! You can tell she genuinely cares about and loves animals. My cat came home so soft, fluffy, and cuddly. “I rarely write reviews, so when I do, it’s because the experience is truly authentic. First off, this place is an absolute gem! We felt welcomed the moment we walked in. We were a little worried about bringing our pit bull, but there was absolutely no judgment. The owner was incredibly kind, personable, and knowledgeable about different dog breeds, which made us feel even more comfortable.
They have both a human menu and a dog menu, making it the perfect brunch spot for you and your pup. The coffee was delicious, and my Foxy absolutely loved her doggy treat!

“I occasionally walk into pet stores anytime i see one or anytime I pass by but this store was by far the best one I have ever seen. The vibes were immaculate especially with Jalae. She makes sure every single person the store is having the time of their life including their pets. Jalae is an exceptional and amazing person. She lights up the atmosphere in the split of a second and I love how knowledgeable and informative she is on pet supplies. Anyway, I bought a vibrating gecko toy for my cat and I know he will love it. Will be back again for sure. PS Crystal the lil frenchie is also an amazing cashier.”

Bonus points that the aisles are wide enough for my stroller to go down! I've never used their delivery service, but it is helpfully offered as an option every time I buy a huge bag of cat litter (which fits nicely in the bottom of my huge stroller).”
“I visited Bushwick Bark because the were hosting a cat adoption event, which means I went in with a very positive feeling about the business even before I entered. So, trying my best to be objective, I can report they have a great selection of toys, displayed such that it's easy to find something if you know what you want and also fun to browse if you haven't yet decided what you want for your pet. The store is small, but they have been smart with using space so you don't feel cramped even though there is a lot of inventory on display Add to all that a friendly and attentive staff, and Bushwick Bark does deserve a five-star review.”

“This is the most versatile independant pet store in Manhattan. They have lots of stuff for cats & dogs & birds upstairs, and a basement with a fantastic selection of healthy fish, reptiles, snails, shrimp, and a few small hamsters etc. Truly a one stop shop!
Plus the staff are extremely helpful and friendly (one runs the upstairs and one runs the downstairs) and you know they know what they're doing since there's a resident cat, parrot, and tortoise to hang out with!”
