830 W Jericho Turnpike, HuntingtonPurchased two pups from this store. One in 2021 and the other in 2023. They are truly the best pet shop on Long Island. I visited a few pet shops in the area from Huntington and neighboring areas before selecting this one to purchase our pups. This was the only one that did not smell like pee! The location is extremely clean and the puppies are well cared for. That made me feel safe. Our first Yorkie was sick once we brought her home because she wouldn’t eat the day we took her home but luckily they provided her with healthcare from West Hills Animal Hospital next door. They covered the whole bill and she got better!The maltipoo has never had any health issues, but my only issue was that she turned out WAY bigger than expected. We love her but I wanted her to be a similar size to the yorkie as promised. So that left a sour taste in my mouth after paying so much for two dogs. The maltipoo is almost 10lbs and she was supposed to be around 6lbs-7lbs at most.

Cornucopia Organic Pet Foods
229 Wall St Suite B, HuntingtonHard to find a quality cat food that's organic. I have been making most of my cat food for years since my two Siamese would not eat canned food. Cornucopia is the first canned food they would eat--at least most of the flavors. They do not like the Superbowl of Salmon (but eat home-cooked wind-caught salmon with no problem). The other flavors they are fine with. I mix one can every morning with fresh, raw greens, veggies and either organic chicken, wild-caught salmon or organic turkey, plus their supplement. Most is stored in the fridge to dole out during the day when their plate is empty. Happy so far and they seem happy, too! BTW, my last 5 Siamese lived to 24-26 years so organic and some veggies is definitely the way to go.

310 New York Ave, HuntingtonI've been a client of Fetch since they opened their doors on Gerard Street and then through their move to New York Ave. Prior to using Fetch for their grooming services I used numerous grooming salons in Huntington and I can say with certainty that none of the other groomers matched the quality of service at Fetch. The owners Karen and Susan are dedicated to ensuring their staff provides exceptional service and they deliver time and time again. Besides their top notch grooming the store offers unique, high quality apparel, accessories and treats. It's a 10/10!! Do yourself a favor and visit or make an appt at Fetch, support a women owned business and a community based business that really cares about their customers and their pets!

Lucky Paws Pet Grooming
73 E Main St, HuntingtonThis is the 2nd time we have brought our little Maisie here...the first time was for an emergency as we had just foster/fail rescued her and she was a breeder mom and a filthy mess. They didn't have any appointments available the next day but made an exception and took her in after we explained the situation. Both times she has come home smelling sweet and looking absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for taking such good care of our little girl!

My dog originally had hip dysplasia in both hips. I elected to have her get left FHO in April 2024 when she was still young. She goes to PT weekly Tuesdyas and Fridays ever since then. She also recently had right FHO about 2 weeks ago as well.
The entire surgery team and physical therapy team has been very amazing and supportive the entire way. Victoria and Riley both answer any questions I have and give recommendations as well as show me how to do all the at home exercises for my dog.
Would recommend them to anyone!

She is warm and friendly while being a wonderful vet and diagnostician. The vet techs (Austin's the best) are all wonderful as is the front desk staff. I would never go anywhere else and I would recommend DHAH to anyone.

Harborside Veterinary Hospital
162 New York Ave, HuntingtonMy wife and I have a rescue dog, Winston, who suffers from severe anxiety during normal day to day events like walks, groomers, vet appointments, and strangers. Ensuring he has proper health care is important and all the people at Harborside are truly fantastic, from the receptionists to the tech supports to the vets themselves. We have been bringing Winston in to Harborside for nearly 3 years since we adopted him and every visit they treat him with the utmost care and concern. They routinely go above and beyond for not only his comfort, but for ours as parents as well.
Most recently this week we required some specialized health certificates for international travel & once again Harborside proved to be a great resource. Not only following up multiple times to get us the right answers, but also making systematic changes to ensure our paperwork met requirements for travel and safety. We are so lucky to have such a great Vet organization so close and operated by such great humans. Thank you!

I actually asked for the chocolate covered strawberry in reverse. They gave it to me and rolled ice cream form. It was phenomenal. I also really recommend a good cream. It's so warm gooey and Nutella. It was awesome. I really recommend the spot. Definitely should be on your devour list.

We hosted a group event here for Taco Tuesday and the staff was extremely accommodating and attentive to our needs. The fried mushroom taco was surprisingly my favorite out of the 3 I ordered, but all were delicious. Definitely recommend for a delicious meal and cool atmosphere.

They truly care about the fluffy friends they find homes for. As you can see, Joseph is LOVED. He rescued us. <3. The staff at this place is wonderful. . That kind of commitment in a day and age where so many pets are disposed of and euthanized is precious and necessary. Good Job Little Shelter. xx
