“As soon as you walk into this shop you feel like you are in a special place. Helen has created a space that allows her imagination and creativity to shine. Her flowers are fresh and beautiful and she arranges them with an editorial eye. Flowers are her passion and it shows. I had a bouquet made for my friend and she adored them. I also had a topiary made with dried flowers and it is a show stopper. I will not go anywhere but Manhasset Florist and Beyond. I highly recommend Helen and her expertise.”

I have been a customer at The Garden Gallery for 4 years now...so, technically, this review is a little late - but worth the wait.
The Garden Gallery is a second generation family business. The family AND their employees know the area, the soil, the plants and what works where. Everyone is friendly and helpful.
Four years ago, when I was new to the area, they pointed out which trees would survive the silly, sandy soil of my property and were upfront about which would likely not survive. As a result, in spite of me not being a good tree mom, I have thriving trees.
This year, I finally filled in my raised garden bed. ? it was a labor of love and twenty trips to The Garden Gallery. The last few trips included a walk of garden shame and joint laughing at the never ending soil purchases. BUT it is worth it. They only sell high quality products. Landscapers arrive at opening to get truck loads of soil and plants for their clients.
In addition to the pretty flowers that most posts and reviews include, they have vegetable plants, shrubs, trees, all the soil and fertilizer you can imagine...even water fountains! ...oh, and don't forget the propane for your grill.
I cannot stress enough how friendly and helpful everyone is. Absolutely worth stopping in.”
“I have used Flowers by Peter multiple times and they are fantastic! They’re excellent at communicating if they don’t have something and their delivery is prompt and on time. I much rather use a local company than a 1-800 company. Shopping at the local businesses is much better. Much better customer service and value for the dollar, as opposed to a customer service representative in the Philippines with the large factory companies.

“This business, IMHO, deserves a way higher rating on Google reviews.
I worked in plant nurseries for 3 years and this place is a traditional setup that offers far better value for ? than at a big box garden centre. The staff are knowledgeable and personable. The plants are cheaper, with more variety and in better shape. Way better selection of soil amendments like compost, mulch, etc. and they have lovely trees. Very nice pottery selection too.
This will be our go to place from now on.”

“I visited Garden World today at 2:15 PM and had a mostly pleasant experience overall. When I first arrived, one of the older white woman cashiers appeared rushed and was not very patient or helpful.
However, Sophia stepped in and was very kind, patient, and helpful throughout my visit.
The store had beautiful flowers, and the staff were very knowledgeable about the plants and how to care for them. After I left and returned with a question, I also overheard the same older white hair woman cashier speaking about me when I return to get an item in front cashier. It came across as unprofessional and rude, which was disappointing in a customer service setting.
Sophia once again provided excellent customer service and maintained a very positive attitude, which really improved my experience.
Overall, despite the earlier interaction, I would still return because of the helpful service from Sophia and the quality of the products.”
“Hours of Operation needs to be updated. Went at 9:30am on a Sunday and Google maps indicated the store was open. Extremely disappointed when I arrived it was closed.”
“I spent hours trying to figure out how to cut a piece of metal for my bed frame. I wanted to do it myself through some research on what tools to use, and I tried and failed terribly. I finally walked into Home Depot looking to get some alternative equipment, and I bumped into Robert in the rental side of the store and within five minutes, he had already resolved my issue. I get an anxious asking employees for helping in some stores because they don’t usually look like they want to help anyone but Robert was keen on greeting me and willing to help. Thanks a lot!”
“I had an excellent experience with Nicole in the Paint Department at The Home Depot store #6158 in Mills Basin, Brooklyn. From the moment I approached the counter, she was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely eager to help.

“We had been purchasing our annuals from NSGC for years. We also had them replant the back and front plantings. Their plants, shrubs and trees always flourish. We love the redesigned backyard. Joe, Dom and all the staff at the nursery are wonderful. Here’s a pic of their design and the annuals we purchase every year.”

We started with two different gardens. One garden was too small and raised with a retaining wall and the other was just for roses. It wasn't clean and cohesive and I called Giordanos. I've had bad luck with getting folks to help us with our home so I was kinda nervous but soon my concerns were put to rest.
Nick worked on my garden and wow!!! He's professional, helpful, friendly and really knowledgeable. He could name the plants I already had even if they didn't have flowers yet. He helped me create a design and gave me great ideas. Whenever I had a question he got back to me by the end of the day.
When he came he brought 3 workers who were really friendly and professional. They put together a gorgeous garden full of perennials and reallydid a great job!!!

“I gave it 5 stars because my Dad loves it here. He loves his garden but as for customer service, it’s like you are in a different world and not in a mix queens neighborhood.
Not friendly to non whites. That’s all I will say about that. They will answer your question but it is always with a “oh them” glance.
Come on guys….your business is in queens NY. Not sure if the people working there are the owners but it sure looks family owned.

“It's a very nice nursery. It's small but they have a nice variety of plants. Jose helped us find what we asked for & answered all our questions. The quality looked good but the prices seemed higher when compared to other nurseries. We've planted what we bought from here and if they turn out as well as they should, then they're definitely worth the price.”

But Rachel was so nice about it! She was extremely helpful during the ENTIRE process and helped us complete our terrariums even after closing. We didn't feel rushed at all.
