“Landau’s Supermarket is one of the central hubs of the Woodridge summer scene. If you spend any time in the Catskills during the season, chances are you’ll end up here more than once.
The store is large, well-stocked, and clearly designed with the kosher community in mind. From basic groceries to specialty kosher products, the selection is impressive. Whether someone is doing a full shopping trip or just running in for a few last-minute items, it’s very easy to find what you need.
One thing that really stands out is the variety. The aisles are packed with everything from pantry staples to snacks, drinks, and specialty foods that people specifically look for during the summer months. The candy and snack sections alone are enough to make kids (and plenty of adults) very happy.
Another big plus is that Landau’s tends to carry many items that are harder to find in smaller stores upstate, which makes it a convenient place for people who are staying in bungalow colonies or camps nearby.
During peak summer season the place can get very lively and busy, especially before Shabbos when everyone is doing their shopping at the same time. Despite that, the store usually runs efficiently and keeps things moving.
The overall atmosphere feels very much like a community supermarket, where people bump into neighbors, friends, and half the Catskills crowd while doing their shopping.

“Nice, clean, and friendly! I used this place all summer and was very impressed. It's a very clean and welcoming hotel with friendly service. I love their apple juice — I bought tons of it because my kids drink it like water! They also have a cold chocolate milk drink that tastes really good. I even came at 5 a.m. and they were already open. Great experience every time!”
“By far the cutest dollar general in the tristate area! And still they’ve got everything… Including beer! (K I’ll be honest they didn’t have the pineapple juice, but they had 2 outta the 4 items we needed for our cocktail, and one of them was hard alcohol, so they pretty much had 2 outta 3.) Nice customer service, and a well maintained bathroom, pretty impressed, most dollar generals don’t maintain their bathrooms so well, but this one’s got it sparkling clean! Keep up the great work fellas!”

“A good store with a large selection. Don't expect affordable costs compared to a Super Market. But what they offer in quick shopping and a time crunch are unmatched. The store can be a bit messy at times, which is always a shame. But if you shop smart you can definitely score some affordable deals. Always a pleasure to deal with the staff.”

“I'm a little bit of a wal mart connoisseur. Having traveled to 40 different states I've been to my fair share. This one is alright. Pleasant shopping experience for the most part. Things arent locked up yet and the staff is friendly. Glad to have it nearby”
