“Wegmans is what happens when a grocery store develops a superiority complex and somehow earns it.
You walk in for milk and bread and suddenly you’re surrounded by artisanal olive oils, twelve kinds of hummus, and vegetables you’ve never seen in your life being misted dramatically like they’re on display at a luxury spa.
I still enter my rewards phone number every single time despite having absolutely no idea what rewards I’m supposedly receiving. At this point it feels less like a savings program and more like a loyalty oath.
The hot food section is convenient because the food is, in fact, hot and ready — which already puts it ahead of many places — but most of it tastes like it was seasoned by someone afraid of offending salt-sensitive grandparents. Not bad, just… cautious.
That said, if I need a specific ingredient, obscure snack, or random item no other grocery store seems to carry, Wegmans somehow always has it. Plus about 50 million healthier alternatives that I fully acknowledge I should buy before immediately reaching for the regular version instead.
Expensive? A little. Reliable? Absolutely.”
“Nichols Supermarket feels like stepping into a grocery store from another era — in the best possible way. It’s the kind of place that makes you wonder if this is what grocery shopping felt like before everyone became allergic to eye contact and self-checkout machines.
The cashiers are ridiculously friendly. Not fake corporate “have a nice day” friendly either — genuinely helpful people who ask if you need anything and will still carry your groceries to your car like it’s 1972 and customer service actually existed.
Their bread selection is legendary, but you better get there early because the fresh stuff disappears fast for good reason. Easily some of the best bread around. The seafood and meat are always fresh too.
Nichols somehow manages to feel old school without feeling outdated, and I absolutely love it.”
“Probably the overall best grocery store in America. They are also highly ranked for employee satisfaction each year. Their house brand products are just as good as the original products, and somewhat lower. Wegmans is a pleasant place to shop and help is easy to find. But their prices overall have increased faster than inflation, so I've been shopping elsewhere.”
“The selection is usually pretty good. The Special buys are cool and the meat and poultry is usually decent. The produce isles are always hit or miss. Sometimes I've gone and seen rotten/moldy/slimy veggies and sometimes the produce is rotated and looks really nice.”
“Wegmans always has a great selection for special occasions! I scored a four pack of Lobster tails for $40 and half a dozen chocolate covered strawberries for $18 flowers and plants galore to choose from! Unfortunately many of the plants were in need of some life support, but lots of goodies to choose for your Valentine!”
“My review was merely for the worker named Nancy. I have never had an employee treat me with so much care and respect. My things weren’t ringing up, I couldn’t figure out the self check out, I was dropping cantaloupe all over the place, and she went out of her way multiple times to help me out with a smile rather than annoy. Nancy, However much she is making, deserves a raise.”
“After 30 years going to this site it seems like since covid the store has gone down hill. Produce dot stocked or rotten. Many times, ordinary stuff is not stocked. Continually changing aisles around to where you can't find stuff without an app. Going to try taft rd store for a while.”
“As most Dollar General stores go, you enter and there’s one, MAYBE two employees working. It’s quiet and fairly well organized in there unlike most other locations. A good selection of items but they have less common items than you’d think. Candles, for example, are not something they have a wide variety or selection of. The few they do have are normally on the “pricey” side considering it’s a dollar general. Not a bad establishment but could use some updated selection of items to be available for customers.”
“I came in for a drink as I was driving by and there was a cat in the store! The employees told me they have tried taking him out many times but he just keeps opening the doors and coming back in. He's super loveable and I ended up staying longer and buying more items... unfortunately for my bank account haha. While in line, some old lady was giving the employee and hard time and said she was calling corporate to report the cat. Please don't let them take the cat from this store! I'm definitely shopping at this dollar store from now on because of this kitty. He's so adorable and made my day! There was also another older lady in line that pet the cat and took pictures of him. She was so happy too!”

“The staff is friendly and accommodating. You can tell they really want to help you. This is a great pharmacy. I have too many positive anecdotes to even include in this review.”
“Clean store, organized and employees were quick to answer me when I was trying to find something...easy to navigate, plenty of items to choose from and the employees make it a good experience while inside unlike some places I've been to over the last few months.”
“Went to the UPS Store to send back a pair of shoes (in a shoe box). They wanted $10 to put my box in another box. So I went to Walmart and purchased the size I needed for $1.17 (tax included). If you are shipping something and don't have a box, check out Walmart. They have various sizes and are reasonably
priced.”
“Very nice store. Always all advertised products are available and fresh especially vegetables and fruits. Milk products are nice, liked their frozen pizzas. Great place to shop on a weekly basis. ?”
