“This place is great, and it’s a family run business. Prices are a little more expensive than other bodegas but the food quality (and food selections/varieties) are excellent. Been going here for 8 years, always worth it”

“Service was nice, great options if you're looking for some snacks or food, the placement of the snacks and food were all neat, the staff were nice and calm, you could have a conversation with them if you could try, the aura in that store was calm and relaxing.10/10 would go back”

“A to Z 99 Cent Store has been part of the neighborhood for over a decade. They used to be right next to the Marrakech Hotel but moved across Broadway and down one block this year when the Marrakech's owner sold his place, closed and vacated the leases of the stores/restaurants below. Now A to Z has a brand new brightly lit store with clean, well organized shelves and wall displays with fresh items. The owners are still the same nice guys and the prices are great. At Duane Reade cortisone cream will cost you 4 bucks. Here it's $1.29. A 6 pack of sponges is $1.99 vs. Gristedes where it's $6. Open 9am-9pm, you can get toiletries, cleaning supplies, housewares, food staples, candy, batteries, stationery, first aid supplies, small tools and hardware, gloves, hats, t-shirts, balloons and seasonal items (Christmas decorations, Halloween supplies, etc.) We have a number of tourist hotels nearby and folks find the items they forgot to bring without breaking the bank. We locals who appreciate the value, convenience and personal connection shop here, too. We're fortunate to have a number of these independently-run small discount stores in this neighborhood and each one has something to offer. For certain you won't be stuck in a 15 minute check out line at the local chain drug store. Check this place out. (They also have a lovely cat.)”

“I’ve cried in a lot of pharmacies, but never in this one. The team there has always been patient and helpful even when things with my meds weren’t going as expected. One star down though because I can never shop retail there since almost everything is locked up. I don’t even bother pushing the call button—no one has time for this just to buy an overpriced item you could buy in bulk online for less.”

“I used to come to this fine market also to use the bathroom then buy an occasional beer or Snapple. Once the employees knew me, they wouldn't deny me the use of the restroom...I get it people do all types of things in the restroom, so staff has to be vigilant.”
