“Been coming here since October through good words of month through a friend, and I have been the most consistent with gym and seeing the most progress i haven’t experienced in a while.
A few highlights to call out:
1. The gym has a rly good set of workout equipments you will need. Obviously if you are looking for luxury amenities, this is not the place, but if you need solid set of weights, squat racks, and practically anything you need for strength training, this place has it all. A side plug for the inbody scan you have access to as a member tho!
2. All the trainers are extremely friendly, and members workout here are all taking their fitness very seriously, which creates the environment that makes you want to work out more. I actually have a pretty decent apartment building gym but still choose to come here instead.
3. Jake is my personal trainer, so a separate huge shoutout to him - he is extremely customer focused. He designed a very thoughtful workout program tailored to my specific fitness goal, with legit / uncomplicated exercises, so I can focus on progressive overload rather than do some performative complicated move. He is also just a super kind human and willing to work with you.”

“Joined this place nearly a year ago and am loving it. The instructors are great, the workouts are varied, and everyone is really friendly.
I particularly appreciate how the instructors modify workouts to accommodate my old injuries. They know their stuff.”
“Such an overdue review for my beloved F45 studio in LIC, especially since I just hit my 250th class yesterday.
Short version: if you’re looking for a training studio focused on functional fitness in a HIIT / cycle-style format, with smart and progressive programming, amazing community vibes, and truly outstanding coaches and crew—and you live anywhere nearby—this place is a total no‑brainer 5‑star gym.
I don’t say that lightly. Before making F45 LIC my home gym, I trained as a serious amateur but consistently and intensely in CrossFit for about 10 years. Over the past 2–3 years, as I’ve gotten a bit “older,” I was trying to find something that’s lighter than CrossFit but still “satisfying”. I’ve used ClassPass and now Wellhub and visited 20+ gyms around the city. Even with all that context, I still rank F45 LIC in my top three for what they do best. I come almost every day and genuinely love calling it my home gym.
Quick side note to be fair and comprehensive: if you’re specifically looking to squat 300 lbs, snatch a heavy barbell, or work on bar muscle-ups, handstands etc. this isn’t that kind of gym—that’s a bit “pro”-end territory. But for pretty much everything else in functional fitness for office warriors like most of us, F45 has it covered, and they make it fun and engaging.
I especially want to thank the incredible coaches here. They truly coach, not just stand around watching. You can feel how much they care every single class. They always come up to you and tell you what you could do better, not just what you did wrong. Brittany, the head coach, is a perfect example of this—and I honestly love (more than “fear” ?) when she does this with me. Lloyd, Kirsten, Taylor, and Sacha are the coaches I train with most, and each of them brings their own unique energy, care, and vibe to class. Their positivity genuinely impacts everyone around them, and living in NYC, that really means a lot.
Around my 100th class, the gym started adding these super cute sketches on the whiteboard to illustrate the workout of the day. I joked with Remi, a great staff working in the gym, who was making those beautiful drawings at the time, asking if I could get a bulldog for my 100th class workout since it’s my favorite breed. Well, see photo attached. That moment was when I realized this place is so much more than just a gym to me.”
“The space is huge and they are so well-stocked with equipment. Everything is clean and well maintained. Nikhil is the best coach, super supportive and knowledgeable! Thanks Nikhil ?”
“I started going to Orange Theory LIC during the pandemic and enjoyed nearly 2 straight years at this location. I left for a bit because I wanted a change in routine, but I recently returned because I missed the combination of diverse workouts, the structure, and the positive environment. The team here makes every workout a joy, especially Coach Nick!! 10/10 would recommend to anyone in the area.”
“My daughter has been wanting to bike without her training wheels for a while now and I knew she just needed another push by someone else after a few attmepts.
Glad to have the team at Gantry Kids - shout out to Kryzia for giving her the positive vibes and care to accomplish this!
My daughter got to learn to ride just the very next day! Achievement unlocked! Highly recommend this place for awesome kid fun and moments!”
“I personally don't love the gym here, it's kind of cramped especially if you like working with free weights and barbells. I had to do my rows in a tight corner. The machines are nice however and you could make it work. I would like a designated area with a place to barbell squat, deadlift and row but it's small. It's a fine gym just a bit limited. If you pay for tuition here you might as well take advantage of the free gym access. I'm already paying a membership at a bigger nicer gym that's open 24 hours so I don't really need it.”
“This gym needs an air assault bike for cardio sessions! Also a standing calf raise machine. Please let the people workingout know to have a LOCK for the lockers, thanks.”
“My favorite gym! Super clean, maintained and good quality equipment, well spaced out, and great environment.
Bonus points for being woman owned! Debby and her staff are so welcoming and friendly.”
