I do wish that after what feels like decades, that they would fix the automatic opening doors of their store and allow for more seamless entrance and exit from the premises. Aside from that, a happy long time customer.

540 US-6, MahopacI took my Mia in as an emergency. She had surgery the week before in SC and while we were back in NY it looked like her stitches popped. They took us right in and she saw Dr. Scaperotti. He cleaned her up, examined her and put our minds at ease. He was thorough, personable and treated her as if she was a long time patient. He also put our minds at ease and gave us his opinion of her diagnosis. A few days later he removed her stitches. Everyone at Mahopac Animal hospital was great and we will be back if need be. Thank you all!

From Ashley, at the front desk, to the vet techs, Sheama and Catherine, and Gladis the laser tech, were all so professional and caring. Everyone made us feel comfortable and confident in the care being provided.
Dr. Buchter was thorough and patient and described each of her findings and diagnosis. Dr. Buchter offered several options and listened to our concerns and worked with us in deciding on a course of treatment.
We would gladly recommend South Putnam Animal Hospital.

He has always cared for her since a pup. We called to tell him & his staff @ 13 1/2, Diamond crossed the rainbow bridge. He made it a priority to take my call after I had given the news to his staff. So very professional, compassionate, & kind of him. Thank you for being there for Diamond for many years! 🙏🏻

What stands out most about Diana is not only how knowledgeable she is, but how she approaches every situation with patience, understanding, and compassion. She helped build Beau’s confidence, but also ours as dog owners. She taught us how to better read his body language and reinforce commands appropriately, and we truly feel like better dog owners because of her guidance.
We’ve also used Diana for board and training while we were away, and we couldn’t have been happier with the experience. We loved receiving updates throughout our trip, including texts, photos, and videos. It gave us so much peace of mind seeing how happy and comfortable he was in her care. Even when she had a concern about Beau, Diana was incredibly proactive and made sure he received the care he needed. We came home to a very happy, confident, and well-cared-for puppy.
Training is an ongoing process, and throughout it all, Diana continues to check in and offer her support in any way she can. We are truly so grateful that we met Diana and look forward to continuing to work with her as Beau grows. We cannot recommend Diana’s Paws enough! ❤

225 US-6, MahopacMario's is a small local restaurant in Mahopac, but the food would stand out on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.
The pizza crust is thin and crispy and the toppings are first rate. I also recommend the baked clams and wood fired wings, both amazing.
