3370 NY-112, MedfordSimply the best taco spot in the area for true street-style tacos. I used to drive all the way to Queens to get tacos like these, and now I’ve found this gem just 2 minutes from home.
I ordered the birria tacos and they were absolutely amazing. The meat quality was excellent and the portions were very generous. The birria consommé was perfectly seasoned and came with a grilled jalapeño that added the perfect touch. The tacos also came with fries, and the prices were very reasonable for the amount of food.
I also tried the chorizo tostadas, and once again the portion size and flavor were incredible. The condiments were fresh and well balanced, and those came with fries too. There was so much food that it was easily enough for two people.
I can’t wait to go back and try more items from the menu. If you’re looking for authentic, delicious street-style tacos, this is the spot.

1699 Medford Ave, MedfordNot bad for a Medford bagel. Maybe a bit too well done for me but not bad at all. I think where this shop thrives is the cream cheese. The olive cream cheese is no joke here. Deli ice tea wasn't bad either. Maybe a little too light and not as sweet as usual. The place was bigger than I thought it would be with a few spots to sit. Not a bad spot at all and would pop in again.

2717a NY-112, MedfordWe stopped by on a Saturday night looking forward to a tasty meal and we were absolutely blown away.
The servers took a bit long to acknowledge us and get our drinks but when they did they were very sweet and attentive and brought us a basket of cornbread which was hot and very tasty. They brought butter with it which was soft and spread beautifully. I was so excited that I forgot to snap a pic until it was almost gone.
For dinner we ordered Oxtails which came with two sides. I chose collard greens and cheesy grits, two of my favorites and we ordered Mac and Cheese.
Everything was delicious. The oxtails were a very large portion, the meat was succulent and the gravy was rich and delicious. The collard greens were out of this world and the grits were loaded with flavor from the cheese. Lastly, the Mac and cheese was one of the best that I’ve had and I think I’ve had it just about everywhere. Portions are very large, we ended up taking a bunch of food home and the desserts were fresh, I’d highly suggest the coconut and pineapple cake.
I would, without a doubt, go back and enjoy more food from Lola’s. It’s one of the best restaurants that I’ve been to lately.
