“Really good hardware stores, are more than a nice-to-have, they're a necessity. Located on Main St, parking can be difficult at times but that's the biggest drawback. Goldberg's has just about every hardware necessity you could need; paint, tools, keys, wood glue, they got it all. Service is great as everyone working here is family and this actually cares about what they're doing. I didn't have any big questions when I was there, but I heard them helping others and they clearly know what they're talking about. Prices are reasonable.I'll take this any day over sorting through a gigantic warehouse of shit with people who don't want to be there. Local hardware stores are a godsend, and this is no exception.”

“My husband calls this the Home Depot that time forgot. Old fashioned service at its best. Every time we go it's clean, employees approach us to help us, people are friendly, and they have what we need. Today I did a return that was entirely hassle-free. The last time my husband and I went an employee spent 15 minutes with us helping us find the right-sized screw for a project. The time before an employee walked me to my destination because he wasn't 100% sure where something was and he wanted to make sure I found it. @HomeDepot corporate, if you ever read your Yelp reviews I hope you see this and give all your Hawthorne employees a raise and the managers a bonus. @Hawthorne Home Depot manager, leaving you a message with your manager on duty now...”

“I normally go to Home Depot, and never get the service I crave, so I went to this local hardware store close to where I live, and 3 times so far I've had the best experiences with Max and Joey, Manny. All 3 of these guys are knowledgeable, friendly and kind. Kindness is such a rare commodity these days, and rarer in the Northeast. Ugh. This place is THE BEST. It's a small place and they may not have everything you always need, but this should be your first stop. You'd be surprised what they have in the store. They have a great supply house and if they don't have what you are looking for, they can almost always get it the next day. Prices are also very reasonable. “We ordered custom cabinet grilles/mesh from Katonah (we live in Atlanta). They are just one of a couple distributors stateside for imported premium custom metal grilles. These were beatiful and fit as expected. We did have a tricky problem I think related to the ultimate sealant coat on the grilles from the factory. After troubleshooting a bit Katonah arranged an entire new set made and delivered which was totally perfect. Refreshing to see a company take responsibility and make it right for such an expensive custom order. No hesitation buying from Katonah again!”
