Hatchet Hardware is a family-owned and operated ACE Hardware store in Niskayuna, New York. It is widely preferred over nearby big box stores like Home Depot and Lowe's. Customers consistently praise the far superior service and more knowledgeable employees, who go above and beyond to help even during busy or inconvenient times. The selection of items is outstanding, covering everything from bird seed and light bulbs to wood stain, spray paint, lawn equipment, and snow removal gear. The store also features a curated gift section with locally inspired goods. Parking is convenient, and staff often help load items. The store fills a need for the community, with a policy to obtain any item not currently in stock. Customers highly recommend it for quick runs and larger projects, encouraging support for this local, independent business.
The staff could not have been more courteous, helpful or kind. I wouldn’t not go to any other Ace in the area.

Hatchet Hardware is great to have in the neighborhood. So many independent hardware stores have gone out of business, and many items are not available in the big box stores.
