“Brooklyn Tails is one of my favorite stops as a dog walker. I bring my pack by and Johnny, the owner, is always there with treats and a smile. The dogs love him—it’s honestly one of the highlights of our route.
The store has a great selection for both cats and dogs (I’ve got two cats at home), and Johnny’s always happy to help if I need something specific. Super friendly, super knowledgeable, and just a great neighborhood spot. You can tell he genuinely cares about animals and his customers.

“One of the best places to get your pet food. Prices are reasonable. Only issue I have is that they don't carry some of the items I buy from Petco. I wish they can carry Nulo brand of cat food and Sustainably Yours brand of cat litter. If they have those, then it'll be a one stop shop for me.”

“Mo and his dad make this spot a true neighborhood gem! I'm in here a few times a week, sometimes even when I don't need anything, simply because my dogs absolutely refuse to walk down Manhattan Ave without stopping in to say hello and get a treat from Mo. they literally sit down on the sidewalk and won't budge until I give in and cross the street. Both Mo and his dad are super helpful, especially for people like me who have never had a puppy before and need all the tips on important ingredients for puppy food, how to manage his insane shedding (furminator!), and most importantly, the apple cider vinegar anti-chew spray they recommended when I told them about Leo's love of chewing my work heels--their guidance saved my sanity and my shoes. Also when the vet told me to get a product for Leo's ear infection and they didn't have it, Mo ordered it for me and it was there in two days.”
“Was recommended this place by a friend and it was delicious! Loved my French toast and the lavender mimosa was a nice hit of booze that I wasn't sure would work but did very nicely. Katie was our main server and she was adorable - we traded pet stories and she was super fast with everything. She even modified a dog dish for human consumption (which was a hilarious conversation) and didn't blink. Will be making my way back there for sure.”

“Who's Your Doggy has friendly and knowledgeable staff, wide variety of brands, and a grooming facility. The staff at the Halsey Street has answered my questions successfully and offering great advice on how to care for Pepsi. It is Pepsi's "Macy's".

“Employees are very friendly , knowledgeable and nice ! They always have what you’re looking for and if they are ever out of something they are always replaced quickly . Their Dubia roaches are a little expensive at $1.00 a roach but it saves the headache of running around to the chain pet shops that are usually out of stock most of the time. Highly recommend this place !”
“My dog had a cracked nail that was bothering her and they were so great with her. They cleaned it and were able to manage the crack so it wasn’t so bothersome to her. They saw her right away too on short notice. Would recommend this pet salon to anyone.”

I prefer this store to the big names as it has a better atmosphere. They care about the animals. I’m going back for some neon tetra. And to take some apples for the turtle whose name I forget.”

“Pacific aquarium is a very organized and knowledgeable fish store ,if you bring in your fishtank water and its a little sulfuric or a little dirty they will tell you everything you need to do to help balance your water before selling you fish, for free?, other shop wouldn’t care to sell you fish regardless of the toxicity of the water. I know of no other place with this pursuit of professionalism”
“I visited Bushwick Bark because the were hosting a cat adoption event, which means I went in with a very positive feeling about the business even before I entered. So, trying my best to be objective, I can report they have a great selection of toys, displayed such that it's easy to find something if you know what you want and also fun to browse if you haven't yet decided what you want for your pet. The store is small, but they have been smart with using space so you don't feel cramped even though there is a lot of inventory on display Add to all that a friendly and attentive staff, and Bushwick Bark does deserve a five-star review.”
