River is — how shall we say this — amazing, and also a bit of an anxious little guy. The thought of taking him to the groomer used to give us just as much anxiety as it gave him. Because let’s be honest — no one loves your pet more than you do, and trusting someone else with their care isn’t easy.
That all changed when we met Mallory.
She and River are now the best of buds. It used to take hours — and a muzzle — just to get through a grooming appointment. But now? No muzzle, no stress. Mallory reads him so well — knowing exactly when to continue and when to pause, when to give space and when to reassure. She sees him — not just a job to be done.
For anyone with a Doodle, or any anxious pup, grooming isn’t just a haircut. It’s a step toward helping your dog feel braver, safer, and more independent. We could not ask for a better partner in that journey than Mallory.
