Pet World & Aqua Shoppe
2833 Ridge Rd W Ste 25, Ridgemont Dr, RochesterWent yesterday and this store was so great! They had everything aquarium related a hobbyist might want and the pricing was competitive with online retailers as far as I saw. Great selection of fish, fresh and salt water. The staff was young but friendly and helpful with moderate knowledge on the fish in the store and considering how many different breeds are there I was impressed with everybody I talked to. I do wish there was a bit more information on the tanks of each fish besides just name and price but that's a personal preference to learn more about the ones I'm unfamiliar with and it might help a newbie to the hobby determine what will work best for them. All in all I'll be a new regular!

1942 W Ridge Rd, RochesterThe store is clean and organized, and the staff are friendly and willing to assist. They have good sales in pet supplies, so look for those. However, prices are average compared to other pet stores, maybe a tad cheaper. Parking is good, safe area to shop. Very close to the expressway and other major shopping locations. They also have a section for basically cat/kitten adoption. It's where I got my little girl kitten ?.

Uni-Pet Grooming Salon
2149 E Main St E, RochesterLOVE this place. Not sure of the girl's name who I usually work with, but she is great with my dog. One time he was super nervous & wouldn't leave me so she invited me upstairs to stay with him while he got his groom. We chatted & my boy was great for her. She prefers texts, responds in a timely manner every time, & can usually get me in same-day. He usually only gets a nail clipping, anal gland expression, teeth brushing & an ear clean so his total groom takes minimal time & the pricing is reasonable. Highly recommend!!!

Animal Hospital of Rochester
1150 University Ave, RochesterMy first time coming here was about a year ago to get a second opinion on my cat where they told me the x-rays another place took MONTHS before showed that she had the dead bodies of her kittens in her which over the next couple of months caused her to go septic. They noticed what multiple trips to another vet did not in a matter of minutes. They helped me put my baby down, the visit cost a fraction of where the original place would've been. And expecting nothing from them after that visit a week later they sent me a card with all the techs signatures telling me they were sorry for my loss. They will have my business as long as I have pets.

Paws and Claws Pet Care, Inc.
23 Linden Park, RochesterMy pup Sadie and I recently completed the teenage puppy class. I was very happy with the class and our trainer Jeff. Jeff does a great job of teaching tips and techniques not just for the dogs but for the dog owners too. Even learning a simple command like “wait” has significantly improved Sadie’s day to day behavior. That command gets used before feeding, entering and exiting the house and car and has made for a more enjoyable experience with her. Thanks to Jeff and I wish I had known about paws and claws sooner.

Animal Behavior Specialists, Inc.'s
20 Willowbend Dr, RochesterKarlene has helped me with my dogs over the past 12 years. I've done both classes and private appointments. With her expertise, I have learned how to modify many different behaviors. When I adopted my 5th dog, Gracie, (a 5 month old rescue), the trouble began several months later. Daily I had multiple fights sometimes involving all 5 dogs. It was a nightmare. Nine years later, I still have Gracie and she is a registered therapy dog. There's no way I could have worked through this without Karlene. She helped me to see what was going on and how to address the specific behaviors that were leading to the fights. She's helped with other aggression issues that some of my other dogs have had as well. I've learned a ton from her about dog development and behavior and it has helped my household tremendously. I also want to add that I read a negative comment about her dog "biting" a puppy. I've learned that dogs correct other dogs for inappropriate behaviors and I've been to dozens of classes and have witnessed this. Her dogs are good at helping to teach other dogs appropriate social skills.

Bob Minchella's dog owner counseling
79 Howell St, RochesterHighly recommend Bob for his basic obedience class. We had 2 VERY reactive German Shepherds and after his 5-week training classes, we’ve noticed significant improvement not just in their obedience to commands, but their overall reactivity and manner around other dogs. Now we can confidently take our dogs on walks and out in public without fear of how they will react.

Peels On Wheels Pizza Garage
1157 Culver Rd, RochesterPeels On Wheels does great vegan pizza! The toppings are extremely high quality. I don't remember exactly what it was called, but they had this kind of sundried sweet red bell pepper that was out of this world. I had that New York style with shallots, banana pepper rings, and vegan pepperoni. The owner works in the kitchen alongside his employees and really cares about producing superior pizza. Their pies are so much better than what you'll get ordering from a chain!

The bar is very large with a great space to place food and have it out of the way of the main area where guests can order drinks. Games available for guests of all ages to play, as well as TV's for sports lovers. There were multiple comments of how great the venue was and plans to host other family events there in the future. The staff were friendly and accommodating, enjoyed having them handle our party. We will definitely host future events there!

Edibles Restaurant and Bar
704 University Ave, RochesterI have been to this restaurant before and the food was delicious then and it is even better! I had the steak with a pesto sauce with roasted potatoes with a side of grilled Brussel sprouts. The steak was mazing. It was seasoned very well and grilled thecway I like it. The pesto sauce that was on top was tasty as well. The potatoes were roasted perfectly, and the Brussel sprouts grilled nicely with very little charring. My friend had the crab bisque. She said it had a very good amount of crabmeat, was seasoned nicely, and was very dcharming. She also ordered the Mahi Mahi special. The sauce had a slightly sweet but she said the combination was delicious. It came with asparagus on the side.

Pet Adoption Network
4261 Culver Rd, RochesterGreat place to adopt your next family member. Its very small, not fancy and run by volunteers, only open on Sundays but you can leave a message during the week or send an email an your call will be returned. I see there have been some negative reviews- know that they are operating with volunteers and are very low-budget. With that said, the volunteers I worked with were very nice and doing their "job." They want to know that you will will provide a loving and safe home before adopting. You will be "screened" and need to wait a few days before taking your new kitty home. There is also an adoption fee, they need to cover costs. The sweet cat we adopted was in a foster home and clearly very well-cared for. She was socialized with other pets and the owner gave her lots of attention. We are so happy with our new kitty, Phoebe Katz, THANK YOU!
