“My husband and I just returned from a stay at Phoenicia Lodge, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. The new owners, Sandra and Emily, are truly wonderful...so friendly, accommodating, and genuinely pleasant to chat with. They made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.

The lodge itself has been beautifully updated. The rooms are clean, modern, and stocked with everything you could possibly need. We stayed in the loft, which was both quaint and spacious, and like the rest of the property, it was kept very clean. Nothing was missing. Every detail was thought of.

We also loved the cozy sitting area in the lodge, which has been refreshed and feels inviting. Each morning, Emily and Sandra provided a continental breakfast, which is such a nice touch and a great way to start the day.

The location is perfect — just a few feet from the Esopus Creek. We enjoyed walking around and taking in the peaceful surroundings. It’s such a serene spot, yet close enough to explore the charm of Phoenicia and the Catskills...plenty of walking and hiking trails!

Overall, Phoenicia Lodge is a place we’ll definitely be returning to. Sandra and Emily have created something special here, and we are so glad we got to meet them. I highly recommend this lodge to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, friendly and welcoming stay in upstate New York!”

“Had the pleasure of spending a night at the Graham & Co and can’t wait to return in the summer to take advantage of the pool and outdoor spaces. Beautiful property, lovely room and the staff was so beyond friendly.”

“Only 2 hours from NYC, the Foxfire Mountain House was a fantastic time. We attended a wedding here and had the whole resort to ourselves with all family and friends. The food was out of this world good both from the restaurant and the wedding. I can’t remember the last time I ate so well for an entire weekend.

Staff was very friendly and personable. I gave the room 4/5 stars only because we could have used a few more hooks to hang suites and dresses from, but other than that I would definitely recommend.”

“Lovely Bed and Breakfast in Hunter. Innkeeper Sandy is a great hostess, knowledgeable about the history and things to do and extremely friendly and helpful, her personality elevated our experience greatly. The inn is lovely. Our room was bright sunny with great view of the Hunter mountain, attached bathroom too was large and bright. Inn is located very close to all the attractions. We enjoyed our stay very much and recommend this place greatly. Even had a bear sighting from the lovely upstairs!”

“It is in a peaceful location, but there was no service at all. However, the resort provides a WiFi. The buildings are kind of old, but still comfortable. The staff were at the top of their game which made the overall experience nice.”

“Really sweet motel. Classic old school Catskills vibe but very clean. Dog friendly which was great for our family. Each room gets their own grill and picnic table which is so cute! Overall had a great stay. Only problem we had is that one of my showers was oscillating between hot and cold, but the other showers we had were fine. Maybe too much water was being used at that time. Also the WiFi can get overloaded but we didn’t mind, forced us to read/sleep.”

“Beautiful beautiful ❤️ loved the place and the ride was awesome ?? we went to see Fall colors and were very happy on your decision. Place has lot of activities for winter as well like skiing. They have lots of eating shops (ya prices are premium example a margarita slice ? would be $10+ tax, also if you are vegetarian options will be less) . Crowd is great ? staff is good. They also have place to stay. Lot of parking spots are available for free. Being in mountains weather is very fluctuating but very nice ?. See pics and videos for details. Thanks ??”

“I had a great stay at this lodge. The room was spacious and comfortable. I really appreciated the terrace outside my room, Unfortunately, the overgrown bushes made the terrace less usable since they blocked the mountain view, which was one of the main reasons I chose this place.

Also, the room only had one physical key instead of a key card, which made it a bit inconvenient if more than one person wanted to come and go separately.

Overall, it’s a lovely place and I would recommend it, but a few small improvements could make the experience even better!”

“My wife and I have stayed at Hunter Lodge twice this year for some quick downtime—once in May and again in August. The lodge is truly beautiful, with plenty of cozy nooks to sit, chat, read, or work, all near inviting fireplaces. We loved our rooms, which had a charming rustic elegance, always clean and refreshing, and with the added bonus of a stunning view of the mountains. We’ll definitely be returning”
