325 N Main St, Port ChesterTRY IT - YOU'LL LIKE IT! We brought my mom here for her 89th birthday and were joined by friends as a surprise. We wanted someplace that felt very special, but wasn't insanely expensive or too formal and this fit the bill perfectly. They were wonderful about helping us keep our additional guests a surprise. The menu is not vast, but everything was freshly prepared and well-made. We had a vegan and a pescatarian in our group, and while the menu isn't vast, there was no issue accommodating food preferences. My husband lived in Morocco and found the food to be very authentic. The tent room provides a fun and festive atmosphere. If you are concerned about noise, I would request a table toward one end or another - but noise was not an issue for us. The 2 fish dishes were both stellar. Fresh and nice-sized portions. My mom called to thank us for a special evening and ask for the restaurant name and number to go back. High praise from a native NYC person who has eaten at some of the best restaurants in NY and around the globe. The owners' son personally checked on us multiple times and his mom made most of our meal. Keeping in mind this is a more casual place, I would give everything 5 stars - with the possible exception of the food. It's very good - and no complaints - about quality / quantity or freshness. It just falls more into the 4 out of 5 star range compared to - say - a Michelin experience.
