“This post is long over due! Joe and his team are the best. I was having transmission problems and my mechanic had suggested replacement. I found New York Auto Repair while trying to get several quotes on a new transmission before committing. Joe was the only mechanic who asked me to bring it in and see if that was really necessary. Joe took the time to troubleshoot and found the issue was minor and fixed it quickly and saved me from wasting money and time on work not even needed. A year later my engine was making crazy noises and I thought it was blown. Went to a mechanic who was closer to me and he said the engine was gone and I should just sell. I called Joe right away and again he diligently took the time to find a rocker arm had just come loose and again it was fixed fast. “Bolt in Poughkeepsie went above and beyond helping us with car trouble! My son is a student at Marist and a tire blew out. Not knowing any auto shops up there, I Googled, read some great reviews, and called up Bolt and spoke to Adam. He was friendly and knowledgeable. They ordered replacements and when my son showed up they saw the actual wheel to the car was missing. When his tire blew out, someone else put spare on but left the wheel. It was a mess but Bolt offered to drive to the spot where he had the flat and find the missing wheel. Plus they even dropped my son off at school on the way! Great, caring service is so hard to find these day and we really appreciate all their help. Highly recommend!!!”
