“Perry was the fourth detailing place I called this morning trying to get an urgent appointment to rid my car of the rotting food smell after spilling compost liquid in it yesterday. He was able to get me in this afternoon after some finagling with his schedule. Not only that, but he did an excellent job in just under 3 hours this afternoon - even got rid of the dog hair that’s been in my stuck on the fabric in my trunk for 4 years - and the compost stench is gone! He gave me a recommendation for a spray in case it comes back and also offered to run the ozonator in there longer if need be next week. He was super helpful and kind, and I think the price ($173 including tax) was more than fair (though I’ve never had this happen before so I have no source of comparison). Highly recommend. “I can’t recommend New York Auto Repair enough. For years, I took my 2018 CX-5 to multiple shops and even dealerships, all of which insisted everything was fine despite clear signs something was wrong. I ended up driving nearly 80,000 miles in limp mode because no one took the time to properly diagnose the issue.
Eventually, the underlying problem that had been ignored for so long caused the cylinder head to crack, making the car completely undrivable. That’s when I brought it to Tommy at New York Auto Repair and he worked an absolute miracle.
He not only identified the root cause that everyone else overlooked, but also repaired it quickly and at a very reasonable price. Tommy’s honesty, skill, and attention to detail truly set this shop apart.
