“I needed some plywood for a project I was working on for a friend. However, I own a small Toyota and it wouldn't fit. So, I either had to have it delivered or else rent a truck to transport it. Delivery charges are $80 and several weeks out, so that left option #2. Thankfully, they had a pick-up truck in stock. They won't, however, hold it for you so it is first-come-first-served. Thankfully, I called ahead and the truck was on their lot so I was able to drive over and rent it. The process went quick though I needed to show them my driver's license, insurance paperwork, and have a deposit put on my credit card. All standard stuff.I only needed the truck to drive 7 miles each way, and I had it back within the first 75 minutes so my total cost was about $20. That wasn't bad at all! Their employee, Hans, was super friendly throughout the process.I will point out that HD's selection of plywood here was horrible. Nice hardwoods like birch were non-existent, as were smaller thicknesses like 1/4". That being said, their 1-by lumber was very good compared to several Lowes I had been in. This is all likely due to Covid, so I won't penalize them for that. It is something to keep in mind though.”

“Ive always had great customer service here. I need to have wood cut to certain dimensions sometimes and the employees have always done their job. So thank you - I don't feel intimidated when I ask for help, and that's a relief.”

“They have everything you need. You can avoid the big box stores by hitting up Phillips hardware. Very knowledgeable staff will help you find just what you need and not pressure you to buy something you don’t. Another great asset to the Delmar community.”

“I am not a frequent customer of Lowes and have not been to Lowes in a while now. I was up in Albany and looking for a very specific item. I will definitely change that habit. As infrequently as I visit Lowes, they always have exactly what I am looking for, in this case, gutter guards. The all have a huge parking lot with centrally located handicapped parking. Very short walk to the store which was definitely very well stocked. Took a walk through the store afterwards to get an idea of what is now available. I was really impressed to that they now carry a full line of Craftman tools. I really never saw a spread of them like this, they had items that I had never seen before. They also had quite the collection of power tools. Many different manufacturers covering all price points. The team member I spoke with was extremely helpful and guided us perfectly to the area I needed to find the item(s) I was looking for. The store is clean and organized, easy to navigate. KUDOs to the team here at Lowes.”

“Needed siding to finish a project on our home and had reached out to Lowe's originally. After about 2 months of them saying they "just haven't heard back from the vendor" or just straight up not returning my phone calls, I reached out to Curtis lumber. Karl got me the answers I needed within 24 hours and was timely, professional, and easy to work with. He definitely turned this experience around for us. The gentleman who delivered our siding was also great, polite and efficient. “We would highly recommend United Granite Marble to anyone looking for any quartz countertop because that is what we had installed. We went several places and were told 4-6 weeks, we went here and Amet had the exact quartz that we picked out elsewhere at 1/2 the price. When he gives you a price it includes template, installation, etc. Amet and his son install yesterday and did an awesome job. We purchased our new sink and dropping it off to him so he could cut out and he mounted the sink after installing countertop. We had the new faucet and he did the hole to accommodate on site. From our first visit to office to installation was less than 10 days for us, unbelievable! Thank you Amet and son!”

“If I could give ten stars I would. So my wife and I just wrapped up our kitchen remodel. My wife was doing dishes and a plate slipped and dropped in the sink. It’s spidered the new porcelain sink and is an under mount which means our granite is cut around the sink. I called home outlet and explained what happened, sent pics and spoke to manager Shawn. I sent over pics he got in contact with the manufacturer and got it covered under warranty, Sean is even paying the bill to have the granite guy come and set the new sink and pull the old one. Let’s see Home Depot or Lowe’s do that for their customers!!! Thanks Shawn and I can’t thank you enough. Home Outlet on Fuller Road!!”

“I bought a pair of work boots for the winter on July 18th. I decided on August 26th that I wanted to get a refund. The problem that I thought that there would be was that the policy is that returns have to be within 30 days of the purchase. I was expecting to get stuck with store credit or no refund at all. I called the store to ask if an exception could be made to the policy or if I was going to be stuck with the boots. The gent that answered the phone was friendly and said that if I came in for the refund he was sure that I would be taken care of. I went in a few hours later and the cashier was friendly and refunded me the full amount after getting manager approval. Thank you for not sticking me with a card with store credit which always seem to get lost or they are never in your wallet when you decide to go to the store.”

“I was very happy today to visit my Tractor Supply in Glenmont NY! Great service as a called ahead of time to see if they had a canner in stock. Not only did they have the canner in stock they also held it for me so I could get it on my lunch break. Then to my surprise they price matched Walmarts price on the canner as well! Thank you for great service! I highly recommend they. Go see them for all your summer and all season needs!!! Kudos to you the cashier and manager on today I appreciate you both!”

“I checked their online inventory for the product I needed, and it said they had it in stock, but when I went to the store, I couldn't find it. So I found an attendant to help me, and he also couldn't find it. Then he explained that they owned 2 stores and the inventory was merged together on their website, so more than likely, it was at the other store. Confusing and misleading to say the least.”

“The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and answered our questions. I am looking to purchase a rooster maybe 2 months old. I have 10 hens.Here’s a question May 8 of this year I purchased 8 chickens. I let my granddaughter and her friend pick them out while I paid and purchased feed. Anyway I have 3 chickens who are about the size of a mourning Dove. They are 3 months old but so little cay you tell me what kind they are. I have learned my lesson never again will I leave 2 16 year old girls to pick any more chicks alone. They also picked 2 meat chickens to save their lives”

“I always come here after losing my mind at the nearby Home Depot. Some brands are slightly different, but there’s generally enough overlap and proper options to achieve the same goals. And the layout/navigation is slightly better, so that’s a big win.”

“This review is about the excellent customer service that I received when I stopped by the store today. I was looking for a retro refrigerator that I saw online and couldn't find at my local store. In fact, my local store told me that there were none at any Home Depot stores. I decided to stop by the Latham store anyway. There were 2 display models for sale. Zack helped me with the fridge. He dusted it down and when I realized that the second model looked better (from the front), but was missing the handles, Zack and another employee, got out their tools, took the handles off of one and screwed them on to the other. When we pulled the second one out we realized that it was badly dented in the back. I apologized to Zack for doing all of that work for nothing and he let me know that it wasn't a problem. That is what he was there for. He then proceeded to call around to see if other stores had what I was looking for and he found exactly what I was looking for at another Home Depot. I don't know if Zack, or any of the other employees who helped me today will ever see this but, for everyone else who does, this is how a store should run. This is customer service at it's BEST! “We picked the wrong year to do a total kitchen make over ! We started it just before the Pandemic hit and soon found out that it would take about 4-5 months to ever get it finished. We went to Curtis Lumber and they where closed except for curbside p/u. Lowes offered very little help. Home Depot at least tried to help but said they where busy and it would take 2-3 months to get cabinets! Bargain Outlet in Colonie was terrific ! They helped us design our layout and we got the unfinished cabinets that look great ! This saved us a lot of money! Jeremy and Nicole where so helpful in getting this done for us ! I can't thank them enough!”
