“Such a clean, pleasant and awesome store. This was my first time stopping in and I had such a pleasant experience. The gentleman working and another customer there with friendly and helpful. As a woman I have had bad experiences with being dismissed or ignored when I was talking about Magic the Gathering. This was such a refreshing change compared to other stores in the area.”

Chet and his team have organized a store that not only presents well, but is packed to the gills with back issues, current issues, graded books, and many other things to delight all of our our collector needs. Can't find what you're looking for? Chet can find it for you! From their Facebook page, they do live videos, showing what's new and incoming, and also special sales and different events. Not only do they offer the ability to use the previews pull box, but there's also discounts! They regularly run, sales, and during the warmer months, have outdoor events for people to come get all sorts of comics and action figures. “Adorable little shop full of children's and young adult books. They have something for everyone and include books in other languages to ensure inclusion. They recently hosted John G (Noodle the pugs owner) for a book reading and signing and the entire place is charming. Whether you have kids, nieces/nephews/nibling or are just looking for a small business to support I cannot recommend Hipocampo enough!”

“Great selection of toys for all ages! Their puzzle collection is FANTASTIC. There's so many options it's almost overwhelming. They carry sooooo many different board and card games for all ages and likes. And their selection of Playmobil is especially impressive.”

“I love the idea of recycled clothing and toys! Kids grow out of things so quickly. I've had a good few experiences with selling my clothes to the store as well. I appreciate the cash or store credit idea. I usually take credit as you get more and my kid will always need something. The people there are pleasant. There is a big selection and sometimes you can get great deals with the sales. I have nothing but good things to say about this place! I'm glad it's so close to my house.”

“Very nice and helpful staff! I felt that many of the sports cards were very reasonably priced! I purchased several of the '73 Pepsi collectable glasses in beautiful shape for a very fair asking price! Purchased Josh Allen and Tremain Edmunds rookie cards that I would have bought if they were priced a bit higher! Love the atmosphere and the Accesabilaty to other surrounding stores!!”

“Hammergirl Anime is a highlight of my visits to the Rochester area to see family. The store (and selection) is larger than other anime shops I've visited. Huge selction of manga and anime trading cards, a pretty good selection of anime goods (figures, apparel, keychains, posters, etc.), but a rather limited selection of DVD/Blu-rays.Some items are of the "blind box" variety, where you don't know what character you're getting when you buy it. Others, however, have already been opened so there's no surprises.Manga has competitive pricing, DVD/Blu-rays can often be found elsewhere for cheaper, though. Most items are for the more popular anime franchises, but you can stumble upon something rare now and then.Anime-focused stores are rare, and even rarer are the ones that are large and have staying power. Hammergirl Anime has been around for awhile, and is easily the largest such physical store I've stepped into. Anime fans in the area should definiely take some time and browse their wares.”

“It's not my first pick of places to go. Most of the food items are expired, which isn't really a surprise. They have some decent deals, but nothing wow worthy.”
