“Jacob was an excellent help to my mother who visited the store today . She raved about his customer service and his knowledge of the product. He was attentive and is definitely a huge asset to the store .”
“I had a fantastic experience at The Athlete's Source, a small sneaker store located on High Ridge Road in Stamford, CT. I was in search of a new sneaker for weight training, and I was fortunate enough to receive exceptional service from Bob, one of the store's employees.Bob went above and beyond to not only assist me but also educate me on the type of sneaker that would best suit my needs. He took the time to understand my requirements and preferences, and he even suggested that the store's current selection might not be the right fit for me. However, he patiently walked me through various criteria, and together we found the perfect shoe that met all my requirements.I must say that I have never received such outstanding service when it comes to purchasing sneakers. I highly recommend anyone in search of specific sneakers to visit The Athlete's Source. You can expect nothing but exceptional service from the knowledgeable and friendly staff.Once again, I want to express my gratitude to Bob for his superior service and the valuable education he provided during my sneaker shopping experience. Thank you for helping me find the perfect training sneakers.”
“Bought ski boots here last season after a horrible experience at pedigree down in WP. Hickory and Tweed know what they are doing. Got new boots with them absolutely perfect fit. I don’t remember the salesperson/fitters name but he knew exactly what type of boots I needed and size/style for my feet. They heat molded the boots as well something pedigree doesn’t do btw. I plan on servicing my skis before the season comes around in winter 25/26 I heard they do a really good job. Thank you guys I’ll be coming around real soon. Keep up the good work.
I also appreciate the discounts you guys offer for Veterans.”
“Highly recommend this place for all things skating. Their staff is very knowledgeable and professional. They answered all our questions, and made great recommendations to fit the skill and strengths of our skater. They have a lot of inventory at competitive pricing, and are able to heat mold and sharpen skates. Truly, a one stop shop. They do all this with a very friendly, patient and accommodating manner.”
“I absolutely recommend this shop. Mark is super knowledgeable and was able to heat mold my new skates to a T. At first I had issues with one of my feet/boot, but Mark and Ann Marie (sorry if I misspelled!) were very kind and patient, did not rush us at all. Prices were really good too.”
“The store has a nice vibe and good selection. They can do custom orders. Good boot fitters - my last pair had a hot spot that they drilled out - perfection. I especially enjoy the vintage gear and photos decorating the walls. I used some of that stuff back in the day! Like leather lace-up boots and cable bindings.”
“I can't recommend Threads and Treads enough. I started running again in my late 30s and had tried ordering shoes online. After a few fails, I went in person and the staff were so helpful. They looked at my feet and the arches, the width, my stance, how I walk... and helped direct me to a shoe that would support all these areas. Highly recommend supporting this business so we can keep stores alive that really provide expertise and guidance we will never get through big box stores. One note: keep the box! you can't return unless you have the box :)”

“I was in NY and happened upon this gem. All I can say is.. WOW! The pieces are one of a kind and the pricing is amazing. Donna was sweet and honest, and truly cared about what looked best on me (not on pushing a sale, like some other NY boutiques that I visited). When going back to NY, I will make it a point to go back. Thank you Donna and Lv2bfit!”
“Had to stop in and pick up some previously ordered items. I don't know much about lacrosse gear, but this place probably has it! The man working there, I believe it is Dan, couldn't have been nicer. Super friendly and appreciative.”
“We have worked with Bel-Aqua for years. They have great customer service, and a very knowledgeable staff who are always willing to help us with our questions or concerns.”

“I brought an iron in to be re-shafted. Within 24 hours, and as promised, I had it back. John provided me with outstanding service. I highly recommend him and his company.”
“I go to Westchester Road Runners to simplify my life. I don’t have time to keep up w shoe tech and trends, but I need the right shoes. I always walk out with great sneakers that keep my plethora of exercise injuries stabilized. Today, I went in for swim goggles and all they had were some fancy Italian goggles. I was a little annoyed because they’re expensive, but I swear with them, I’m ready to buy two, Huge improvement in my swim experience, plus they had a tyr jammer in my size. New White Plains residents, Support local small businesses, this is a good one.”
“So lucky to have this great shop so conveniently located. Whenever I tried ordering dance shoes for my daughter online it was a nightmare! They are patient and know what they are doing here!”
“I recently visited and loved my purchase! Michael, an amazing associate, helped me out—he was incredibly attentive and made the shopping experience so enjoyable. I ended up getting a black Lululemon set and some shoes thanks to his great recommendations.
However, I had a somewhat awkward experience at checkout. While Michael was communicating with the cashiers about my items, the man at the register (dark hair, kind of looked like Jason Baldoni—LMAO) made an unkind comment, saying something like, “I don’t know why Michael does those weird hand gestures like that.” It felt unnecessary and dismissive.
I want to reiterate that Michael was amazing! His kindness and professionalism stood out. But that comment from the cashier really bothered me. Mocking someone’s mannerisms is unacceptable. Because of that, I can only give 4 stars. I believe everyone deserves respect, plus seeing team work and kindness towards coworkers make the shopping experience better.”
“Ever time I go I always leave with very good quality. They also have really good customer service plus a good selections of cleat.Been a loyal customer for the longest time”
“This is my go to soccer shop!! Their staff at Greenwich and Southport is always friendly and knowledgeable but Brenar at the Greenwich store is the real deal, extremely helpful and goes out of his way to help out and most importantly listens to the customer’s needs!! 5 stars!!”
“Professional helped me out with my son's sneakers.Jonathan, Jose, and the young lady that rung us up thank you! You're way better than the one on 42nd st near Grand Central.”

“Tony, 10/10 helped my family out pick awesome scrubs , Dr.Rodriguez from Mexico had a beautiful experience trying on your scrubs and ordering online straight from the store phone :) ??❤️!!”
“Great store with wonderful team members! I was a bit distracted while in store today so wanted to write a review to thank the staff. They are super helpful and knowledgeable about the products! Bravo to all. You definitely make the shopping experience at this store easier and more enjoyable! Thank you! Athleta should be proud to have you as salespeople!”
“This place is packed to the gills with some really cool clothing for a smaller locally owned store. Yes, prices are what they are but the stuff they sell is often high end. Yes, this isn't Target with mediocre clothing that might cater to a lower income clientele. Squires is where one might go to get some nice ski clothing or a special gift. We should support local stores so we don't all end up looking the same in that big box Costco style Poopwear. And frankly, the prices are right for what they sell. I have found that you can get stuff at a reasonable price. As for hovering salespeople, they are trying to be helpful and all you have to say is that you are browsing and you'll let them know if you need help. The store is big enough that you can ghost the salespeople if you prefer to be left to your own devices.”
“Our family has gone to Sportech for many years!! We love getting our sneakers there, for all different sports activities! They have a wide selection and we trust their recommendations ALWAYS!! We appreciate the care and personal advice! The owner, Mel, is especially kind and knowledgeable!Highly recommend !!”
