“The best sandwiches around.
My favorites are the Uncle Mick, and The Garnet. For breakfast I always get Bacon, egg and cheese with chilli and ketchup, topped with the shredded potatoes on a roll. The western omelet is great. The staff is awesome and friendly, the place is always clean. I highly recommend this place.”

“Playland Market isn’t the kind of place that needs to impress you at first glance, because its appeal grows the more you visit. It feels like a neighborhood favorite that’s been doing things right for years, serving people who appreciate good food and convenience without any unnecessary fuss.

The real strength of the market is its deli. There’s something satisfying about ordering a sandwich here, it’s quick, generous, and has that classic New York style. Whether it’s an early morning bacon, egg, and cheese or a stacked turkey sandwich later in the day, the food is consistently enjoyable and keeps people coming back.

What truly makes it stand out is its role in the community. It’s the kind of place you stop at without overthinking, before the beach, after school, or on the way to Playland. It fits perfectly into everyday life, offering a reliable mix of convenience, quality, and familiarity that people appreciate.

Easily a 5-star spot, one of the best places around for a quick, satisfying bite.”

“I love Trader Joe's in general, and this is a great location. Great selection of items (especially the frozen foods and prepared foods), fair prices, and the employees are always helpful. Usually there aren't super long lines. Parking is fine, there is usually a space in the parking lot even if I have to circle once. Definitely recommend”

“This spot is a GEM of Westchester County. From around 9:30AM-1:00PM (approximately, some days run out faster than others) they offer fresh bento and onigiris in their prepared food fridge section.

Bentos include cooked salmon, mackerel, Japanese-style chili chicken, fried pollack, and sometimes more or less depending on what's available, they range from about $9.50-$14 (a STEAL for a nice big lunch in WC). They also have refrigerated beef bowls, eel bowls, and sometimes other bowls. They also have a small selection of prepared sushi, sashimi, and sushi bowls.

Onigiris vary depending on what's available, but typically they'll have tuna-mayo, spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, eel, kelp, spicy cod roe, and more (sometimes less depending on the day).

Did I mention their store is absolutely pristine? Easy to find everything? Well stocked drink fridge with Japanese sodas/energy drinks/health elixirs? The ladies that run the store and cashier are incredibly kind too!

Limited free parking for the shop, but plenty of White Plains paid parking and some street parking on Mamaroneck (I know ughhh) nearby and yes I see attendants there every so often so watch out y'all.

AND they have a rewards program (ANALOG, THANK GOD) where you get a little pink card and get a stamp for every $10 you spend, once you get 100 stamps you get $20 OFF your purchase. Definitely a rite of passage to complete one of the cards, but it'll be easy to do once you get hooked.

Literally cannot say enough about this spot, check my reviews-- this is probably the longest!”

“Today I came into the store, it was perfectly stocked with everything I needed. I wanted to give a shutout to one of the women running the cash register today. Makkedah was amazing, she was very friendly and we had a wonderful conversation. She realized I had a long day and offered to bag up my groceries even after I offered to do so to help her out, which I appreciated a great deal. She noticed one of my apples was of the wrong type that I wanted and helped me find the proper apples. The staff always are wonderful at this store but I wanted to write today because she truly made my day better and deserves recognition. Thank you Makkedah and thank you to the whole staff for everything that you do, it does not go unnoticed!”

“Great, clean store. The employees are wonderful and knowledgeable. Some very good deals. Some things, of course are more expensive (but usually worth the price for quality).”

“They have tons of delicious polish and german treats and super friendly owners. We tried many types of kielbasa and they were all delicious. In addition to tasty pates, salami, hams. We also bought the homemade apple strudel and plum cookies which were amazing and not too sweet. Can’t wait to go back and try the freshly made cabbage rolls (they has sold out by the time we arrived).”

“Just love this grocery store! Clean! Friendly staff. Large selection of products even though the store itself is not that large. Amazing deli & produce departments!”

“I’ve been coming here for almost twenty years. From the outside—and honestly, even from the inside—it doesn’t look especially impressive. But it’s truly a hidden gem! While they pretty much have everything you need, this isn’t where most people do their huge grocery hauls. I usually stock up on bulk basics like soda, paper products, and canned goods elsewhere. Still, I find myself at C-Town about twice a week, usually to grab what I need for dinner. Many times I walk in thinking, “What am I going to make tonight?”. It doesn’t take long to see something that inspires me. Other times I’m shopping for lunch the next day or to replenish essentials. The produce department is pretty good, though it’s not my favorite place to purchase fruit. The meat department, however, is very good and fairly priced. The deli is the real standout—it’s their shining star. They carry Boar’s Head products along with their own meats, rotisserie chickens, quiches, salads, cheeses, and truly excellent prepared foods. They even have fresh sushi made daily by someone right on site. Up front, there’s a nice selection of health and gluten-free foods, you can find popular Italian-American brand staples in the aisles. There’s also a small dessert section featuring Junior’s cheesecakes, and the bakery area is quite good too. On top of all that, the staff are genuinely nice and helpful. There is plenty of parking both in front and in the back. It’s definitely an IYKYK kind of place in town and I have a definite loyalty to it.”

“Best market in Mamaroneck, this store has quickly become our favorite place for food shopping in Mamaroneck. Lots of high-quality food and imported items. The bakery in the back makes sourdough on a daily basis.”

“I recently visited this shop in Port Chester and it is a fantastic find for anyone looking for authentic Brazilian flavors. The selection they carry is impressive and makes it easy to find traditional staples that are often hard to come by.

The highlight of the visit was definitely the deli section. The bacon-wrapped chicken and the sausage were both seasoned perfectly and incredibly flavorful—truly standout items that I would highly recommend to anyone.

Whether you are looking for specific Brazilian ingredients or just want a delicious, high-quality meal from the deli, this place is a must-visit. Five stars!”

“Amazing find! I was looking for another local business in the strip mall out front. I followed the sign for additional parking around back. I see DeCicco & Sons. I notice the paintings on the windows. I see that it's a grocery store. So my dad and I venture in. So glad we did! You enter to a beautiful produce department. Big beautiful tomatoes. Once you get down that aisle you see the whole store. The fish section had extra jumbo shrimp. Some of the biggest I've ever seen. Huge fillets of fish. Then the meat department. Fresh store made chicken burgers (with peppers & onions, with spinach & mozzarella, etc.), sausages, skewers. The list goes on. A woman brought burgers out while we were there that she had just made fresh. Then the aisles start. You would expect that they would have their own brands like Whole Foods. Not the case. All major brands just like any grocery store. Huge selection. Friendly staff in the aisle. One young man actually helped me locate semolina flour. I was having trouble locating it. Great customer service. Signed up for a loyalty card on my phone while I shopped. Cashier at checkout didn't ask if I was a loyalty member. Just rang me up. I had to tell her that I had a phone number to enter or I would have missed out. I packed myself. She didn't match the rest of the store. Can't wait to return for my next shopping trip!”

“Ordered samosas for an event at a friend’s home. Folks raved about the samosas. They definitely tasted fresh and flavorful. Will order food from this establishment again. I’ve also visited this grocery store for other needs and haven’t been disappointed. 🙏🏽”

“This place has better deli sandwiches than the Italian deli across the street - they’re made faster, less expensive, and include far more meat. They use boars head and fresh bread. I live around the corner and have always walked in with my sandwich made even calling only 5 minutes ahead. The breakfast sandwiches are passable but nothing to write home about. Honestly, a hidden gem.”

“If you want the freshest and most reasonable fruits and veggies, look no further. Their prices are so affordable!!! Here's everything I picked up today: 2 extra large cucumbers, a 2 lb bag of yellow onions & red onions, a pint of cherry tomatoes, fresh peeled garlic (a small container), 3 extra large heads of lettuce, 5 plums & 2 containers of very large strawberries & a package of soup greens which includes all that is needed for chicken soup which I'll be making this week (radishes, parsley, carrots, parsnips etc) guess my total... $20.01. 20 bucks and I'm set for the whole week.. if I bought all of that at stop and shop or shoprite, I would have gotten less for more money. The quality of their products are amazing too and the staff is super friendly. The store itself can get a bit crowded & parking is not the best but I don't mind since the prices are so great. They have another location which is much larger and has a lot more to offer but if you're looking for just produce and some meat, this spot is perfect!”
