Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in Saratoga
63 Henning Road, Saratoga SpringsSarah and the entire team at Rood & Riddle were absolutely incredible during one of the hardest moments our family has ever faced. While the outcome was not what anyone wanted, Sarah was compassionate, patient, and incredibly informative every step of the way.
When we made the heartbreaking decision to euthanize Lucian, Sarah didn’t just treat him like another patient. She asked me about his life and listened to his story. She gave me all the time I needed to say goodbye and, most importantly, allowed me to be with him as he passed so that he was surrounded by the people who loved him rather than strangers.
The level of compassion and genuine care that Sarah showed us is something you unfortunately don’t see often these days. She made an unbearable moment just a little easier, and I will forever be grateful to her and the entire Rood & Riddle team for the kindness they showed Lucian and our family.
Thank you, Sarah, for giving Lu the peaceful goodbye he deserved. ❤🐴

Upstate Animal Medical Center
415 Maple Avenue, Saratoga SpringsWow, hands down best customer service & care I’ve ever received at a vet hospital. Being new to the area and not knowing where to go, I sprung an emergency on them while they were swamped. They first helped me make calls to other places nearby & when they couldn’t help, Upstate made room for us in their schedule. While I was filling out forms, on two different phones making calls, they took my dog & got her checked in, vitals done, and in to a room. They updated me throughout the process on what was happening with my dog while I waited for her. Doc gave me her emergency number if things didn’t get better at night, and another staff member texted me after to check in! Very good experience and we’ll be back for regular visits!

During the Memorial Day weekend, I was urgently seeking veterinary care and, due to a misunderstanding, arrived at your facility, which was not my scheduled appointment location. Despite this, your team went above and beyond to help me locate an open facility that could accommodate my dog's critical condition. Although your facility was ultimately unable to provide direct veterinary care due to the nature of the emergency, I am incredibly thankful for your immediate efforts in contacting other facilities and ensuring we had a place to go. Thank ypu again lady's im sorry I dont remember names during the chaotic situation.

Great salads, great burgers!!! Even local beer! A bit hard to find as they are inside a little shopping area right on Broadwsy and downstairs. Eish they were open longer hours. 10 out of 10!

The bartenders were kind. The beer selection was great. They had live music on a Sunday. They also had a plethora of Boardgames. It was very nice and we could’ve spent hours in there. The food looked and smelled amazing, however we didn’t get anything. I would definitely recommend coming here

480 Broadway, Saratoga SpringsI needed a space where I could focus on getting my work done. On the day I visited The Palette (Saratoga Springs), I was nervous, but those fears soon disappeared. I was greeted warmly by Marcella, the COO. She introduced me to two other visitors and we spent the next two hours just learning about each other. By the end of that meeting, I knew I was going to become a member. The Saratoga Springs location is right in the heart of bustling Broadway. It's the perfect location. There are several shared spaces, a few small rooms, and some larger rooms. You can reserve a room ahead of time in case you need to jump on a Zoom call or have a meeting. There is also a small kitchen area that is stocked with water, tea, snacks, and wine! That's such a nice touch. As a member, you have access to a new printer. The Palette has two locations. I've only been to the one in Saratoga Springs. The other location is in Schenectady. I'm excited that The Palette holds many networking events. It's a great way to meet like minded people. If you need a co-working space, look no further. I highly recommend joining The Palette.

I ordered a full belly clam roll and i have to be honest, it was so good that I thought there was no way it could be gluten free. I really thought i would wake up with horrible pain, but, it WAS that good!! I don't know what they do but it was the best gf seafood I've ever had and you would never know. Service was great as well. Kitschy place, very unassuming. We will definitely be back when we are in Saratoga next!!!

Uncommon Grounds Coffee & Bagels
402 Broadway, Saratoga SpringsNice coffee and with bagels something for breakfast! Despite the line forming up fast, it moved quickly. It's also the 1st location for Uncommon Grounds, so I thought it was worth visiting. They had artworks hanging on the walls that are also for sale and tables and chairs for you if you wanted to sit and eat. We had good bagels and coffee. I enjoyed the flying pig sandwich bagel -if you like a BLT and a turkey sandwich that's the one! One thing to note about their bagels -if you like toppings their toppings stay ON the bagel (which, as a person whose eating the everything bagel, it was great most of my toppings were STILL intact while I chowed down). The only con is if you have any dietary restrictions or like your food without certain things, you may not be accommodated. My friend wanted no red onions in her lox bagel (she just doesn't like red onions) but it seems her lox bagel came with red onions despite it being input during her purchase to exclude red onions.

The staff was also really nice and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back! 😁

3065 NY-50 Space D-1 Box 68, Saratoga SpringsWe adopted Suzie (formally Lily) from HOPE. They did vet references and everything. You can tell they truly care about where the animals are going. My only complaint would be you picked a cat and they told us to go take a little walk to make sure he was the one we wanted. We were gone five minutes and someone else was already adopting him. However, I feel like it was meant to be because Suzie fit right into our little family. A few months after we got her, we were given a six week old husky pit mix and now even with a 50 pound weight difference they are best friends and cuddle on the couch together. Their adoption center at the mall was clean. They tried to match the potential adopters to the animal and were super friendly. I love that you have to sign a contract That the cat must be an indoor cat only. If anything ever happened they are always a HOPE cat and will take them back if anything happened (we have no plan to EVER get rid of Suzie. Once a family member, always a family member. I just love the policy.) It just proves their love for the animals in their care.
