Benson's Pet Center
175 Ballston Ave, Saratoga SpringsI have always loved Bensons! I pulled up at 7:10pm with my pup and didn’t realize they had closed at 7, the girl working saw me and asked me if I needed to come in quick and grab something and she let me come in to get dry food for my pup! I just thought that was so nice. Thank you!

Chow Bella
260 Broadway, Saratoga SpringsWe had such a great experience with this daycare while visiting Saratoga! Parker was a little nervous on her first day since it was her first time there, but the staff were so patient, kind, and reassuring. They took wonderful care of her and made sure she felt comfortable.
By the second day, she was much more relaxed and happy. They even took her on two long walks, which she absolutely loved! It was so reassuring knowing she was getting plenty of attention, exercise, and care while we were away.
The entire place has such a warm, friendly, family atmosphere, and you can tell they genuinely care about the dogs. I wouldn’t hesitate to bring Parker back, and I highly recommend them to anyone visiting Saratoga who needs a safe, caring place for their pup!

Dirty Dog, Inc
42 Park Place, Saratoga SpringsOur golden doodle Rosie has been going to Dirty Dog for years now. We have received excellent and professional service by all the groomers. Rosie used to get very nervous because of a bad experience at a prior groomer business, but now she just trots right in because she knows they’ll take good care of her 😉

Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital in Saratoga
63 Henning Rd, Saratoga SpringsThe vets and assistants are all amazing here. They are friendly and knowledgeable and you can tell they really care about the horses. I wish they treated humans because I would switch myself. The only thing I really dislike is the service agreement where they require a credit card on file and make you pay a deposit for a simple on-farm service call. We've been clients for over 5 years and have never paid a bill late and then they implemented this new policy. The attitude of people enforcing the policy is way over the top. I accidentally typed a credit card number wrong so the deposit was declined and the interaction was very pushy and adversarial like I was some type of deadbeat on the phone with a debt collector. I can't say this left a good impression on me AT ALL. I know the policy isn't the staff member's fault, but frankly, this policy stinks and treats all customers like would be deadbeats that don't pay their bills or something and I'm not very happy with it.

Just Cats Vet
3258 US-9, Saratoga SpringsI'm so happy I switched to Just Cats! Everyone there is lovely, especially Dr. Sikule, Trish, and Emma.
I took my 8 year old cat here after seeing another vet for a minor procedure that had some complications. Dr. Sikule actually read my cat's records ahead of her visit and approached the appointment informed and prepared. I felt like the experience was really collaborative, where we discussed my cat's current status, what may have happened to cause it, and what the best steps forward would be to keep her healthy and feeling well.
Big shoutout to Trish and Emma especially - they were amazing with my cat during her blood draw - I've never seen her so calm during any procedure, she was happy licking a churu the entire time and wasn't bothered in the slightest.
What stood out to me the most during my visit was that each time someone new came in the room they showed a lot of care in letting my cat get used to them before even touching her. They would crouch near the floor if my cat was hiding and let her come to them, or if she was on the table they would hold out their hand to let her sniff them first. Everyone's focus was on her and her comfort first, and they showed genuine affection and gentleness. She got lots of pets and chin scratches - you can really tell that they love cats.
I think my cat left the vet happier and calmer than when we arrived, which is a first in more than 30 years of owning cats. I'm confident in the care my cat is receiving and since our visit she is feeling so much better. I'm so thrilled to have found Just Cats!

Palette Community
480 Broadway, Saratoga SpringsI needed a space where I could focus on getting my work done. On the day I visited The Palette (Saratoga Springs), I was nervous, but those fears soon disappeared. I was greeted warmly by Marcella, the COO. She introduced me to two other visitors and we spent the next two hours just learning about each other. By the end of that meeting, I knew I was going to become a member. The Saratoga Springs location is right in the heart of bustling Broadway. It's the perfect location. There are several shared spaces, a few small rooms, and some larger rooms. You can reserve a room ahead of time in case you need to jump on a Zoom call or have a meeting. There is also a small kitchen area that is stocked with water, tea, snacks, and wine! That's such a nice touch. As a member, you have access to a new printer. The Palette has two locations. I've only been to the one in Saratoga Springs. The other location is in Schenectady. I'm excited that The Palette holds many networking events. It's a great way to meet like minded people. If you need a co-working space, look no further. I highly recommend joining The Palette.

Farmer’s Daughters’ Drive In
882 NY-29, Saratoga SpringsSome things do not need improving.
Farmer’s Daughters has been here since 1960, serving honest American food the way it was meant to be made. The burgers are formed by hand and never frozen. The ice cream is made in the house, cold and rich and very good.
There is something for everyone, but the food is only part of it. You come here and, for a little while, the years fall away. You remember when a hamburger was made by hand, when ice cream came from the kitchen, and when simple food, done well, was enough.
That is the thing about quality. It does not grow old.

Homes for Orphaned Pets Exist (H.O.P.E.)
3065 NY-50 Space D-1 Box 68, Saratoga SpringsWe adopted Suzie (formally Lily) from HOPE. They did vet references and everything. You can tell they truly care about where the animals are going. My only complaint would be you picked a cat and they told us to go take a little walk to make sure he was the one we wanted. We were gone five minutes and someone else was already adopting him. However, I feel like it was meant to be because Suzie fit right into our little family. A few months after we got her, we were given a six week old husky pit mix and now even with a 50 pound weight difference they are best friends and cuddle on the couch together. Their adoption center at the mall was clean. They tried to match the potential adopters to the animal and were super friendly. I love that you have to sign a contract That the cat must be an indoor cat only. If anything ever happened they are always a HOPE cat and will take them back if anything happened (we have no plan to EVER get rid of Suzie. Once a family member, always a family member. I just love the policy.) It just proves their love for the animals in their care.
