“After months of dealing with an issue on my B9 Audi S5 and spending thousands of dollars at other shops that claimed they had fixed it, I finally brought it to STM Tuning in Webster. Cory was able to figure out what was actually going on when nobody else could.
He didn’t just throw parts at the car. He went through the proper diagnostics and testing and noticed my STFT was around -35% at idle and that my fuel pressure was dropping extremely fast after shutting the car off. He suspected the fuel injectors were the issue, and after pulling them out, he found fuel pooling in the cylinders and the injectors themselves looked terrible.
Cory replaced the injectors, and the difference has been night and day. My STFT is now sitting around -5% to +5%, fuel pressure is holding properly after shutting the car off, the rough idle is gone, and I no longer have the random misfires I was constantly dealing with.
After having the car down for months and going through multiple shops without getting the problem solved, it honestly feels like Cory was finally the guy who actually diagnosed and fixed the issue instead of just throwing parts at it.
Huge thanks to Cory and STM Tuning for taking the time to properly diagnose the car and get it running right again. If you have an Audi/VW and you’re chasing a problem that nobody else can figure out, I’d definitely recommend giving STM Tuning a shot.”
